Pugs Cause Traffic Jams is an adorable read for little ones. Kirby is a free spirited dog. This book describes other dogs throughout it and it is important to know.
This was such a fun read! It made us laugh a lot, and we loved seeing all of the different breeds of dogs mentioned. The illustrations were so bright and fun as well. Highly recommend.
What a wonderful story. I loved how it mentioned all different dog breeds, and who doesn’t love a cute little pug. The illustrations were bright and busy. This was such a fun read.
This was such a delightful book! I found myself laughing out loud and highly recommend it
The book follows a little girls search for her missing pug Kirby. Kirby is causing mayhem stopping traffic as motorists want to catch a glimpse of the pug. I enjoyed how the story was told and how we were introduced to the different types of dogs and their mannerisms. I highly recommend this delightful book.
I received a complimentary copy from Kids Can Press and all opinions expressed are entirely my own .
Such a cute read about a little pug that causes a traffic jam; the literal title. But the owner, a girl, doesn’t know where her pug is and asks around if anyone’s seen her pet.
The cover is so adorable, and it fits the book perfectly. I thought the story was a fun read, and I bet it will be even more fun for children to read. We also get small notes on other types of dogs, for example: “Border collies are always on the job.” which I found nice along with the text; it suited the story well. The artwork for this story was also wonderful, and it suited the story well.
I recommend it!
This book is so fun and cute! The premise of the story is a little girl is looking for her lost pug, and while she searches her community she comes in contact with several people and their dogs doing stereotypical breed specific things (ex husky howling/singing, German Shepard doing police work), meanwhile her pug is causing chaos and creating traffic jams. The story has enough repetitive pieces to it that I think some young readers would be willing to try to read it and older readers will enjoy the familiar pattern. I would highly recommend this book for families and teachers of children 3-9, especially those who love animals!
I so appreciate Netgalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book! I can’t wait to purchase a copy for my grade 3 class!
Thank you to Kids Can Press and NetGalley for an advanced reading copy!
A young girl is looking for her missing Pug and meets all sorts of interesting characters and other dogs along the way. Each person she comes into contact with also has a dog by their side and the each dog has an interesting fact to go with their breed. The illustrations are eye-catching and there's a lot to look at on each page. Children will love this book and they may even catch their own dog breed!
This is an adorable story about a little lost pug and all of the commotions he causes on his adventure. I liked how the author highlighted different dog breeds by using their traits. This was cute and little kids would be excited to see their own dogs listed. The illustration was great and helped to make the story flow nicely to the conclusion.

Pugs Cause Traffic Jams by Jennifer McGrath is a cute story about a girl looking for her lost pug. As she searches, the reader is introduced to a cast of characters consisting of interesting people and dog breeds. The reader learns what the particular breed is famous for (golden retrievers are helpful, German shepherds save the day) as the girl searches for her beloved pug.
This book has something for everyone— humor, dogs, cars, action! Young children will love this book. Overall, I’d recommend to anyone with a young child or young reader — it’s a really cute book.

Pugs and puns go together like peanut butter and jam. Cars and pugs do not. This funny story about man's best friend cars and dogs. Kirby the pug is lost in a traffic jam and his owner is looking for him. Finding all different kinds of dogs with a clever pun. So much fun! If you have a clever reader in your family, they will delight in this one! I surely did.
A special thank you to Kid's Can Press and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

Thank you, Kids Can Press, for the advance reading copy.
The story is such a fun read which gets quite chaotic due to a dog having its time out there in the roads!
The illustration is so good. And I could literally hear all the choas created there!
A good fun read. And yes, dogs be better watched and kept safe.

This was an adorable children’s book with delightful illustrations and such a beautiful story about our best friends, the dog.
I rate this eBook 5 stars and would recommend to those with children and a love for their dog.
I really enjoyed this story, and know that lots of children in my classroom would do! It was funny, silly and had lovely illustrations throughout. I would definitely recommend this book and will be looking to purchase it for our school library when it is released!
This was hilarious and so, so true. As a pug owner, I love anything that features a pug so I knew I had to read this one and I am so glad that I did! This detailed not only Kirby the pug’s adventures that day but also highlighted and gave a fun little fact about a variety of other dog breeds.
This story would be a great way to teach kids about different dog breeds as well as showing off an adorable little pug and how funny they are! I could not recommend this one more!

This book made me literally LOL. A pug is stopping traffic and it's owner is out to find him!. But she encounters other very stereotypical dog breeds along the way. Adorable, clever, and oh so charming, this book is a delight.
Thank you to the publisher, author, illustrator, and NG for a copy of this book in exchange for honest feedback. The cover & title are attention grabbing. Pugs causing traffic jams? What could this be! Anything with animal characters can be cute. So, the pet owner is looking for Kirby the pug who has got out. The owner goes out through the town to try to find him. The pug starts playing in the road and gets traffic backed up and gets into other antics. It's a fine story, I thought it was cute and the drawings were great.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing this book in exchange for an honest review.
