I have enjoyed this series but Sold on Love is my favorite so far. Set-in small-town Arkansas, this is a series where we get to know a group of friends, young single women who are finding their way and maybe a special guy. Harper Wilson is a driven, put together real estate business owner. She is well acquainted with Rusty Jenkins, local mechanic and repair shop owner, who has worked on her dream car, a Mercedes, many times. But who would have thought they would be attracted to each other? This is such a fun, opposites attract story! Both are a little insecure in themselves due to negative relationships or experience and cannot see that the other person is interested in them, but they are thrown together when Harper tries to find Rusty a new home. It is not an easy path to get together, and they have negative help with problems from an old nemesis of Harper's. There are some funny moments too when Rusty and his grandfather enter a gala to auction off themselves for a date to raise money for ALS.
Harper's parents are having some trouble too and this is a side story that was touching but with some hard life lessons.
Funny, light but with serious moments make this a great and swoon worthy read for those who enjoy romance and opposite attract theme. Now looking forward to Olivia's story.
I received a complimentary copy from Thomas Nelson-FICTION and NetGalley. All thoughts are mine only.
I loved going back to Maple Falls and hanging out with it's residents. Harper and Rusty had very difficult childhoods, but each came with its own wounds that keep rearing their head and preventing them from getting close to each other. Will they ever get over their insecurities and learn to rely on each other? While Erma and her friends were still in this book, Rusty's grandfather, Senior, is the fun older character with whom who can't help to fall in love. Another good read in the Maple Falls series.
I received an eARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.
Sold on Love by Kathleen Fuller is the third in the Maple Falls Romance Series. I am a huge fan of the town of Maple Springs, and felt like I was coming home to see my friends in this story. It was fun to revisit characters from previous stories including Riley, a real estate agent, and Rusty who owns his own auto repair shop.
This seems like an opposites attract kind of story, but I believe it is more about two people with similar values who come to love and appreciate each other. The secondary characters gave the story depth and had their own issues we watched play out. The author did a wonderful job developing all of the characters and we watched them grow and matured throughout the story.
This delightful story weaves in themes of forgiveness, the value of relationships, and learning to figure out what really matters in life. I am a huge fan of this series and was glad I could return once again to Maple Falls, Arkansas. I highly recommend this story.
I was given a copy by the publisher and not required to write a positive review.
Sold on Love by Kathleen Fuller takes us back to Maple Springs where we reunite with the BB's and the CC's. We see our friends from the first and second books happily married. And we get to hear more about Harper's story. Harper is a take charge real estate agent who works hard and doesn't rest. When she has to take her car (again) to Rusty, the local mechanic, they begin to spend time together. The more time they spend together, the more they start to feel. However, both are resistant, believing the other couldn't possibly like them. What ensues is a beautiful story about friendship and what it means to let go and allow life to happen without plans and rules.
This is my favorite in the series so far and I can't wait until the next one! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to read and review. All opinions are my own.
Thank you Netgalley and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Harper & Rusty's story was so special. I loved the whole small town vibes the book had!
It was hugely entertaining, sweet and romantic af.
Harper was a badass whereas Rusty was grounded. These 2 completely balanced each other out. The chemistry was beautiful and amazing.
Looking forward to reading more books by the author.
It's always a good time to return to Maple Falls.
Sold on love is a wholesome contemporary romance perfect of fans of friends-to-lovers story and the third book in the Maple Falls series, but can be read as a standalone.
The book follows Harper Wilson who is a workaholic, high-fashion real estate agent with a Mercedes that is every woman driver's nightmare . On the other side of the coin is Rusty Jenkins who is the mechanic who seems to be always coming to Harper’s aid. What happens when the only thing that needs tinkering isn't the car but the heart too.
An adorable romance novel with authentic, witty and characters that remain true to who they are. It's hard not to be absorbed into the story. Such a well crafted love story perfect for romance lovers.
I was gifted this complimentary copy by Kathleen Fuller, Thomas Nelson, and NetGalley and all opinions expressed are entirely my own
Sold on Love by Kathleen Fuller. This is how romance books should be. Likeable characters, not picture perfect but attractive in there own right. A bit of tension, conflict, misunderstandings. Love and respect for one another that shines throughout the story. Loved Rusty as the main character and of course Senior. Will be looking for the other books in the Maple Falls series, Ms Fuller has sold me on the series.
Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to preview the book.
What a wonderful way to spend a sunny afternoon ~ an Adirondack deck chair travel to Maple Falls to hang out with Harper and Rusty! It’s a sweet, wholesome contemporary romance featuring a friends-to-lovers story that I simply couldn’t put down. It’s the third book of a series, but I had no problem reading it as a standalone.
Harper Wilson is a workaholic, high-fashion real estate agent with a Mercedes that constantly needs a mechanic’s attention. Rusty Jenkins is a low-key, low-maintenance mechanic who seems to be always coming to Harper’s rescue. What on earth could they have in common? When these two get together, “the spark plugs aren’t the only thing creating a charge.”
I loved the author’s exploration of the importance of family, of being true to oneself, and the power of second chances. I was instantly absorbed in the story, connected to the authentic characters with real-life challenges, and felt like I belonged in Maple Falls. This is a five-star romance that needs to be on your summer reading list.
I’m not a romance reader, but I’m eager to return to Maple Falls! You’ve got a new fan, Kathleen Fuller.
I was gifted this advance copy by Kathleen Fuller, Thomas Nelson, and NetGalley and was under no obligation to provide a review.
Harper convinces Rusty, her car mechanic, to be an available bachelor for a charity auction. He reluctantly agrees. As Harper gets to know Rusty she finds him to be a kind, thoughtful, humorous man. Once he agrees to a makeover, she also discovers a handsome man beneath the wild hair and beard. A story of opposites who find each other. Book 3 in the Maple Falls series.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Thomas Nelson Publishing through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
This was the first book I ever read by this author and I enjoyed it so much. Delightful storyline and Rusty Jenkins was an absolute perfect hero. The plot was good and I could connect with all aspects of the story.
It is part of a series and could be read as a stand alone, but I definitely felt as if I were missing a bit by not reading the first two. I would also have appreciated a bit more of a faith thread. All told, I was very happy I read it.
My thanks to Thomas Nelson Publishing for a copy of this book via the Net Galley platform. The opinion here is expressly my own.
I thoroughly enjoyed the third in Kathleen Fuller's A Maple Falls Romance series. Kathleen Fuller is expert on digging down into real-life personalities and the insecurities that sometimes define us. Harper and Rusty's story is one that will affect your heart and make you realize what is truly important in life. I highly recommend the entire series.

Sold on Love is the third installment in Kathleen Fuller's Maple Falls small town romance series, and it's my personal favorite of the series so far. It has a fun opposites attract dynamic that's at the heart of the plot and romance, and I honestly ended up enjoying both Harper and Rusty as main characters.
Their romance starts out as an unlikely friendship, and I loved how they brought out a side in each other that they were both too scared to let anyone else see. Harper was always a character I enjoyed in the previous books, and I thought her own story definitely showcased a different side to her character that endeared her even more in my eyes. Rusty was such a swoon worthy male protagonist, and I loved how much his family meant to him, and how he dealt with such insecurities over giving romance a chance when he'd been hurt in the past.
While I didn't really love either of the first two books in the series, I did enjoy seeing the characters from the previous titles pop up again and again throughout this one. Something I wasn't expecting was the side story arc that involves Harper's mother, and my heart truly broke for everything their family had gone through, and had never had a chance to heal from.
All in all, I wholeheartedly enjoyed this one, and the only negative I really had is that I continue to wish this series had an actual faith element, instead of just a few superficial mentions of attending church. If a book is labeled as Christian fiction, then I want to see Jesus in it!
Other than that, it was a sweet, small town romance with likeable protagonists, enjoyable secondary characters, a lovely small town setting, and an engaging plot. I enjoyed it from start to finish, and would definitely recommend it to fellow fans of small town romances.
Final Rating: 4/5.
Thanks so much to Thomas Nelson for allowing me to advance read and review this one!
I received a complimentary advance reader copy of this novel from the publisher (Thomas Nelson) via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not required to give a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
If you like the small-town trope then this book is perfect for you. It's a sweet romantic story with enough angst to keep the readers entertained. There are two storylines; the main story is about Harper and Rusty. And a side story about Harper's parents. I enjoyed both. Also, loved the characters. It's one of those stories that will put a smile on your face and make you feel happy. I love romance because of this feeling; the certainty of a happy ending, and not mention swoon-worthy main characters. In my opinion, it's a must-read for romance lovers.
Harper is a real estate agent who is having trouble with work and her family. And Rusty is a mechanic who loves his work and is currently in the market to buy a house. The two got close as Rusty works on Harper's car. Their friendship grows with time and soon, they realize there is more to the attraction they feel for each other. Unfortunately, neither of them wants to take the first step and both are bad at reading signs. Can they overcome their prejudices and misconceptions to forge something as beautiful as love? Read to find out. ;)
Rusty is a shy, sweet guy who has given up on ever finding his special girl. Harper is a a driven realtor who relies on Rusty, her mechanic, to keep her fancy car running. Life keeps tossing the, together and they become very aware of each other. But miscommunication and misunderstanding keep creating gulfs between them.
Rusty had my vote. He’s such a sweetie and hunky too. I kept hearing the 80s song, Let’s Hear It For the Boy as I read this enchanting read.
Very sweet southern romance
She’s a high-fashion realtor; he’s a low-maintenance mechanic. What on earth could they have in common?
Dressed in designer labels and cruising around town in her red Mercedes, workaholic realtor Harper Wilson presents the picture of success in charming Maple Falls. But Harper’s carefully cultivated image is resting on a shaky foundation. With a sudden drought in sales, she’s starting to see her professional dreams—along with her posh lifestyle—slipping away.
Car trouble brings her to mechanic Rusty Jenkins, and their unlikely friendship is taken to the next level when the laid-back Rusty allows her to give him a makeover for a charity bachelor auction. Harper soon discovers that beneath the town mechanic’s wild beard and grease-stained clothing lies a true Southern gentleman—someone with a kind heart and dreams of his own. Their chemistry is undeniable, but as they get closer, past fears and relationships start to creep in, reminding them of just how much is at stake when carefully constructed facades fall apart.
Maybe their worlds aren’t so separate after all. And maybe covering up who you really are keeps you from discovering what was always meant to be.
I enjoyed this book a lot, because it has a unique storyline. It is not your typical romance novel, but takes real life problems/situations along for the ride of the book. It's a story about a women trying to figure out her life while meeting a man who might not be her typical choice.
We are back in Maple Falls for Harper’s story. She has her whole life under control and is a successful real estate agent. Only things aren’t as they appear on the surface. Her care gives her enough fits, and she’s frequently relying on Rusty to help her out. As the story progresses, she’s asked to be his real estate agent and she asks him to be a bachelor at a fundraising gala. These two both have their insecurities which they battle throughout the story. We also see Riley, Olive and Anita, as well as some of the BB’s and Harper’s parents Madge and Don, as well as Senior and Amber. Love the setting of Maple Falls as well as the friend group these young ladies have formed.
A complimentary copy was provided by Thomas Nelson via NetGalley. A review was not required and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Enjoyable read and lovely characters. Loved the story! My first book by this author and won't be my last!
Sold on Love is the third book in the Maple Falls series, finds Harper Wilson and Rusty Jenkins spending a lot of time together because Harper's Mercedes keeps falling apart, and Rusty is in need of a Real Estate Agent.
What begins as them just being acquaintances slowly changes into something more. Harper is not just a business-savvy, fashionista but someone who under Rusty’s encouragement learns to slow down and learn to take time for herself, her family, friends and her faith, and of course, her heart.
I think Sold on Love is my favourite story in the Maple Falls series, and it was fun to have the other characters from the previous stories in the series make appearances. I was looking forward to Harper’s story and I wasn’t disappointed!
My gratitude to Netgalley and Thomas Nelson."I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own."
Sold on Love by Kathleen Fuller is a sweet romance perfect for fans of Hallmark movies. This book has everything— longtime singles, unexpected love, small town charm. This is part of a series but it could definitely be read as a standalone book, which is what I did. I adored this book and think it would be a wonderful book to take on vacation. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.
