Opposites attract can be such a fun dynamic, and Harper and Rusty are definitely lifestyle opposites! I think what makes them work is the values they have in common. It was a pleasure watching them get to know each other on a deeper level and the respect they developed for each other. It can be a bit tricky when a makeover is involved- but because Harper didn’t judge Rusty before he got a haircut and new clothes, it didn’t make her seem shallow when she also appreciated him after. I liked that we learn why maintaining her image has been important to her, and see her progression as she allows herself to relax, slow down, and take time to accept herself when she’s not top of the game. I thought the author handled the topic rather well. Harper’s lessons also involve letting herself lean on her friends, confide in them, and make time for relationships, rather than getting caught up in the rat race. We get to know more Maple Falls residents in this third book and I love how they give the story more depth. The subplot with Harper’s parents added to the story, but I felt like the chapters with her mother’s perspective were a little angsty and long for my taste and stalled the main story with Rusty and Harper. I hope we get a book or novella telling the story of the fourth member of this group of friends, especially since there were hints of foreshadowing woven in.

Another sweet and romantic Christian fiction from Kathleen Fuller. This is book 3 in her Maple Falls Romance series.
I received this copy through Netgalley.
I always love Kathleens books they get better and better each time.. I couldn't put it down and I love the cover and the title matched up with the story.
This is an absolutely delightful, heartwarming story that takes place in the small town of Maple Falls, Washington. Harper is a successful realtor, however, recently she has lost several clients, her Mercedes has broken down too many times, she’s been skipping the meetings with her best friends, and she’s ignoring calls from both her parents and hasn’t been to church for a while, claiming to be too busy. Life doesn’t seem to be going her way as of late.
Rusty, the best mechanic in town comes to her rescue when she has an appointment with a client and shortly thereafter is a bridesmaid in the wedding of one of her best friends. Rusty ends up driving her in his tow truck to the appointment and then drops her off at the church in time for the wedding. As unlikely as it seems to Harper, Rusty becomes a wise, trustworthy friend.
This is a captivating, beautifully written story of how it’s so easy to get caught up in so many things around us, that we lose sight of what is truly important. I loved the delightful small-town setting, and the real-life characters, who have real-life problems. There is a bit of intrigue and romance along with reconciliation thrown in to make this a story that reached right into my heart.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
This is my favorite Kathleen Fuller book. I loved the main characters, Harper and Rusty. She hid behind her fancy clothes and he hid behind his garage coveralls but they were a perfect match because they both had hearts of gold.. This is sweet romance you don't want to miss!
Sold on Love follows Harper, a real estate agent, and Rusty, a mechanic, as they learn to see past each other's exteriors to their hearts. There's also a secondary narrative-- Harper's parents are in the process of getting a divorce, and this narrative follows her mother, Madge, as she wrestles with that decision.
Initially, the second narrative threw me off, but ultimately I liked it-- it helped set the stage of a small, southern town, where everybody knows everybody, family is everything, and you can't really look at one generation without taking a close look at the ones that came before.
Rusty and Harper are really sweet together, and the slow burn was great. I also love how the feeling of a small town was perfectly captured, from the people, to the events and cliques, to the writing voice.
Sold on Love is a sweet story of self-discovery and true love.
Charity bachelor auction for the win! I enjoyed this story of small-town living and an unlikely pairing of realtor Harper Wilson and mechanic Rusty Jenkins. Sweet romance in a quaint setting for this one. Predictable ending, but definitely worth the read.
SOLD ON LOVE by KATHlEEN FULLER is a delightful romance novel which takes place in Maple Falls with the characters we came to love in Much Ado About a Latte. However, the book can easily be read as a stand alone. This is Harper Wilson’s story.
Harper is a workaholic like her mostly absentee father. Growing up, she was always striving to please her rather controlling mother. She is a real estate agent and lives for her work, neglecting her mother’s overtures, her friends and her church.
Rusty Jenkins is an automobile mechanic who has taken over his grandfather’s workshop. His parents divorced when he was young and he was brought up by his grandparents. He does not have a good self image as far as women are concerned….
I will leave you there as I do not want to spoil things for you.
I found Sold on Love a most enjoyable and refreshing read and recommend the book to anyone who enjoys a good romance.
I was given a free copy of the book by NetGalley from Thomas Nelson. The opinions in this review are completely my own.

Sold on Love is the third book in the Maple Falls series of books by Kathleen Fuller and is my favorite. Of all the female heroines I like Harper Williams the best. We met Harper and Rusty in the previous book. On the surface it looks like Harper has it all together. Always dressed to the nines with perfect hair and makeup. She has a luxury car that keeps giving her trouble and her trusty mechanic always brings her car back to life. With Rusty she was able to let her hair down and be herself. Harper has her problems. Her parents are on the brink of divorce and Harper's real estate business is struggling. I love her circle of friends that call themselves the BBs. I hope we will get to hear Olivia's story next.
Kathleen Fuller's third installment from Maple Falls series, Sold on Love was a fabulous read. I loved it and am giving it five stars
Harper didn’t realize that her life was so upside down until Rusty came into it. She was a workaholic with a struggling business and her parents were about to get divorced when Rusty helped tow her beloved Mercedes to his mechanic shop. The two quickly developed a friendship. Rusty helped Harper see there was more to life than work and Harper helped Rusty build his self confidence.
As is the case most of the time, in the process of falling in love, they hit bumps in the road. But they came out stronger on the other side.
I loved this book! At times I smiled and other times in the book I teared up. Kathleen Fuller makes Maple Falls come alive and I really felt like I was a resident in this quaint little town.
