I was disappointed that this was just a novella but it was SO GOOD that I'll definitely be reading Denise Williams whole book collection!

Denise Williams' airport novellas are some of the most fun I've had reading romances. I'm not always a huge fan of romance novellas because they often seem rushed, but I was SUCH a fan of these.

The Missed Connection is a second chance romance. After spending a magical New Year's Eve stranded at an airport, they end up as colleagues - and rivals - when Felix takes a job at Gia's university. Will a work trip reignite their romance?

This is was slightly less insta-love because its a second chance romance, but the novella does move quickly. It was a cute romance!

I couldn’t finish this one. It’s so short but the characters were awful. I couldn’t get past their terrible personalities.

This was a super interesting premise. I loved the original connection and was surprised when they actually left one another in the airport. I was also quite surprised that they turned out to be SUCH opposites. But apparently there’s truth in the physics rule that opposites attract.

Absolutely loved this novella, and the other 2 novellas in this series. I hope Berkley continues to offer these. This was a short, but well crafted book. A perfect summer read for me. Gia and Felix were perfect together. I loved the sparks between them.

When she meets him for the first time, she’s shocked to learn they’ve met before. Months earlier, they shared a perfect New Year’s Eve together in an airport during a weather delay.

After months of working together, Felix still can’t believe the person whose research he's been challenging is the same captivating woman he kissed that night. The two couldn’t be more different. Gia is bubbly, friendly, and extroverted and drives ordered, serious Felix nuts.

Now the two have been assigned to embark on a five-school tour for work. Gia and Felix can’t imagine a travel partner they’d enjoy less until they feel the sparks fly over their shared armrests, security mishaps, and a shared hotel room. They'll need to decide if they can manage their professional tension, or risk missing the connection of a lifetime.

This book was a short and sweet romance with spice. I enjoyed the characters banter, their quiet yearning for one another, and the way their relationship evolved over the course of the book. Perfect read when you're looking for a shorter palate cleanser between books.

For the second of the Airport Novellas, we have Gia’s love story. Gia is the best friend of Bennett from the first book, and I really enjoyed her in both stories. She’s a professor, so the backdrop is academia. She works with Felix, a total grump of a man, but they meet first for the first time at the airport.

It’s an enjoyable and sweet story. It was fun to have cameos by Ollie and Bennett from the first book. Easy reading with an uplifting feel.

I'm a sucker for anything based in an airport. I can't exactly explain why, I can just say that I am. This story gave a little twist, but I ended up enjoying it. The characters were likeable in their own ways, and insufferable in their own ways and I enjoyed every bit of it. I can't wait to read the rest of this little novella series as it's right up my alley.

This book was short and sweet - a perfect read if you are short on time or want to finish a book in one sitting. The overall tone and themes were very similar to other works by Denise Williams and it gave me Ali Hazelwood STEMinist novella vibes.

I want to like DW’s books, but I have to accept the fact that she’s just a mediocre/boring writer for me. 😬 Jakobi Diem is the reason why I three-starred this; he’s one of the best audiobook narrators in the industry. Read via audio.

I'm really enjoying these novellas. These are what Katy Regnery calls "palate cleanser reads". Not super memorable stories but fun, quick reads for when you need something between heavy, longer stories.

I love a good grumpy/sunshine romance and Gia and Felix played their parts perfectly.

This was a DNF for me, I just didn't like either of the MCs and could not get into the story at all. I've enjoyed Ms. Williams' other books but this one just did not work.

Another great novella from Denise Williams! I loved the personality contrast between Gia and Felix in this one, and being academic rivals makes it all the better. Such a quick and easy read that I highly recommend!

I've been enjoying Denise Williams' Airport Novellas series so much! As I mentioned in my review of the first novella, I love how Williams is able to create fully fleshed out characters and deliver a compelling, addictive, and sexy story in so few pages. The Missed Connection is no exception, particularly if you're a fan of the grumpy-sunshine and rivals to lovers tropes and enjoy stories that feature heroines in STEM. Those are all pure catnip for me, so The Missed Connection was a delight to read.

The story follows Gia, a professor in a STEM field. Gia loves everything about her job, except the elusive rival professor who has made it his mission in life to criticize her work. She hates that guy...or does she? When she meets Felix face to face for the first time, Gia is shocked to learn she has actually met him before. And not only has she met him before, they actually made out in an airport on New Year's Eve when they were both stuck there because of an inclement weather delay. And now they're going to be forced to work together? Talk about tension!

I had so much fun following Gia and Felix as they travel around the country together and get to know each other better. Their chemistry is fabulous, and Williams gives each character an interesting backstory. I was impressed at how much I felt like I knew really both of them in the span of so few pages.

I also loved the shout-out to the characters from the first novella, Ollie and Bennett. Gia is the best friend of Bennett, so it was fun to revisit those characters since I enjoyed them so much when I read The Love Connection.

All in all, another very satisfying read from Denise Williams, particularly the novella's sexy and sweet epilogue. 4.5 STARS

I loved that both characters were in STEM careers and highly successful. I wish it didn't take so long for him to stand up to her boss though, but I am glad he finally did. I enjoyed again with this novella that it actually takes place over a significant amount of time so I felt the growth with the characters and their feelings was genuine which I feel can be hard to pull off in a novella. I think my only issue was the romance didn't feel as fluid as the first novella, and the characters didn't seem to match the cover in my opinion. It was still solid and I look forward to reading the next novella in this series and seeing how all the characters connect even in the smallest ways.

I absolutely adore Denise Williams and love everything she writes! This novella series is the perfect snack, an absolute delight and I can't wait to read more

This is the second novella in Denise Williams' Airport Novella story and I want it stated that I am a HUGE Denise Williams fan. Her books are some of my favorite and she is an auto buy author. Sadly this novella didn't hit me like her others but it was still a cute and fun read. I think if it was a whole novel I would have liked it better but it just felt like something was missing as a novella.

But still. Lovers (kind of) to enemies to lovers? I'll read that trope any day and I adored seeing Gia in the lead role as her banter in the first novella was my favorite!

I loved this Novella so much that I wish that it was a full length book. Reading about a black woman in STEM was so refreshing and beautiful I would read 100 more books like it. I love the rivals to lovers aspect of the story and I love that the setting was in an airport. The tension was perfect and it was steamy at the perfect moments.
