I’m not sure I can find the words to describe how brilliant this book is. I read this in one sitting, I just couldn’t put it down. Without giving away any spoilers I’m not sure what I can say. Gemma and Finn are such well written characters they feel like friends I’ve known for years. I can’t recommend this book enough. Beyond 5 stars

Such a gripping story of two people deeply in love, whose wedding day looks doomed from the start.
Without going into the plot, it's a compelling look at Gemma particularly, who does not let her grip go for one moment.. Finn doesnt appear quite so much , with good reason.
Than you for a copy of this book for review. I found it a very gripping read.

Wow! The book alternates between the past and present. In the present Gemma tries to track down Finn with the help of her father and best friend. In the past we read about their unorthodox journey towards married life. As the two timelines start to merge I did start to wonder if Gemma had been deluding herself, and that Finn had done a runner. I was already hooked, but at this point in the book I could not turn the pages fast enough as I raced to find out if there would be a happy ever after or not. Fantastic!

I really enjoyed this book. Gemma and Finn are madly in love, so she is absolutely devastated when he fails to turn up at their wedding. Friends and family question his commitment, but Gemma is certain that something bad has happened to him. The police are unconcerned so she desperately looks for evidence to give them. As the days go by it looks increasingly likely that Finn has done a runner, but Gemma refuses to give up her search. This is a good read which will keep you on tenterhooks right to the end. Thanks to NetGalley for a preview copy.

Dani Atkins is one of the very few authors I know I can rely on 100%. I have loved every single one of her books (and I've read them all), and Six Days is no exception.

Imagine turning up to your own wedding and the groom doesn't show? What would you do? Despite the words of kindness and sympathy she gains, Gemma never once believes that Finn would have stood her up. She just has to convince everyone else of this, and to find him.

A glorious love story, as always, that keeps you turning the pages to find out where Finn is.

This is a beautiful love story and mystery that is totally addictive so clear your diary, feed the pets and kids and make sure you will be uninterrupted for quite some time! Gemma and Finn are so much in love and despite some rocky setbacks along the way are now all set to get married. Gemma turns up at church but where is Finn? Nobody has seen or heard from him since his stag night, his passport has gone and he isn't answering calls. Everybody assumes the worst of him and he is public enemy number one among friends and family. Only Gemma has complete trust in him and is determined to find out the truth. The police won't help saying that, until a person has been missing for six days, they can't launch an official investigation into their disappearance. Gemma has to set out herself to discover why Finn didn't turn up and what this means for their future. I swung back and forth between hating Finn for what he'd done and then wondering if there was there more to his disappearance than meets the eye. I flew through the pages, desperate to know just what happened and was well rewarded by a nail biting and wonderful conclusion. An absolutely fabulous book that I highly recommend. My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

There are never the words to do a Dani Atkins novel justice. Somehow the stars aline and create a heartfelt, intriguing novel packed with heartbreak, joy and suspense.

Dani Atkins has done it again. With the perfect balance of heartbreak and intrigue this book will have captured your heart long after its ended. I instantly warmed to the characters and my heart broke with Gemma's when Finn didn't show up for their wedding. I just had to find out what had happened to him. I loved the way it flitted between the past and the present so we could be emerged in the start of their relationship as well as sharing Gemmas journey to find Finn.

I have enjoyed all of Dani Atkins books so was delighted to be given the ARC of her new novel. It did not disappoint! Wonderfully satisfying and engaging. She makes you care about the characters and their story.
Gemma meets Finn whilst fighting for a car parking space. The path of true love is a bit bumpy but the stormy jumps well between time zones as you see the plot unfold.
I have done messy crying on planes reading her books but this thankfully wasn’t the case here, plus I haven’t been on a plane for ages now!
The reader is kept guessing all the way through as to what happened on that fateful day. It a story of love, hope and never giving up on those things. Kinda perfect for the current climate I think.
I think this is a perfect read for those who want to bury themselves in a good book and shut the world away for a few hours.

Gemma loves Finn, Finn loves Gemma but he never shows in their wedding day. 6 days Gemma spends trying to prove that Finn would never leave her at the altar.
A true story of the journey to love and romance.
Thanks #netgalley for the advanced copy.

A clear 5 star read for me! I was constantly guessing and double guessing throughout trying to work out what had happened to Finn - has he ditched her? Has he been kidnapped? Has he ran off to join the circus? This book will have you imagining all sorts of theories!
I liked the split timeline allowing a peek into how Finn and Gemma met and developed their relationship.

✨ BOOK REVIEW ✨

Six Days - Dani Atkins
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.💫

LIKES
☀️ I genuinely struggled to put this down. The mystery behind what happened to Finn kept me gripped the entire time.
☀️ The two timelines worked really wonderfully and meant the pacing was spot on throughout.
☀️ While I wanted to scream at Finn and Gemma at points (for totally different reasons), people DO behave the way both of them do in real life. It was frustrating, but reflective of the real world where sometimes, people behave like idiots.
☀️ Towards the end, I actually CRIED which says a lot about how invested I was - as I am not a crier at all.
☀️ Gemma’s friendship with Hannah and relationship with her dad were a wonderful addition to the story.
☀️ I never tried to guess the ending. That’s how hyper focused I was on just reading and enjoying the ride.
☀️ The ending!!

DISLIKES
🌙 Not so much a dislike, but it do wish there’d be even a tiny bit of spice 🙊
🌙 I’d like to have known more about the especially Finn’s personality on a slightly deeper level.

Nicely written book about the meaning of love. Really makes you want to skip to the end and see what happens but please don't as it is a lovely book and I totally recommend. Thank you netgalley for the advance copy.

I’ve always enjoyed Dani Atkins books but like the last one of hers I read, The Wedding Dress, this one is very much a story of romance – a love story. Unlike Dani’s previous books however, I find they aren’t quite such tragic stories as they used to be and I miss that very much. It therefore took me a long while to grow to like this one. Once we’ve established that Finn hasn’t turned up for his wedding the story takes the reader back and forth from past to present. It tells of the refusal of Gemma to accept that Finn has had a change of heart. She doesn’t believe he would just not turn up knowing how devastated Gemma would be.

The book goes back in time relating how Gemma and Finn met, their whirlwind romance and how much in love they were, and then flipping back to the present and the aftermath of Gemma’s heartbreaking wedding day. I did find this part of the book quite long winded really. If you like a good love story then you’ll be in your element but it’s not really for me and I became a little bored, almost giving up on the book. The thing that kept me going was wanting to know what had happened to Finn and why he didn’t turn up.

Well I’m so glad I carried on because the last part of the story was so good. It picked up at quite a pace and became the trademark style of Dani’s books, those “Oh no” moments, the bated breath, the emotion. So yes, well worth plowing on for what was a brilliant ending.

Six Days by Dani Atkins got me right from the start and there were so many moments when I wanted to skip ahead to the end because I couldn’t wait to see how it ends.

We follow Gemma through the hardest time of her life - being left at the altar by the love of her life Finn, without any message or even the slightest clue about his whereabouts.
The one person she was sure is her soulmate and bestfriend left her and even though no one believes her, she knows that Finn didn’t just get cold feet. Gemma is sure that something bad must have happened to Finn but without any support from the police, she feels helpless, dissapointed and left alone. The police officer just tells her that most people who disappear usually turn up within a week. For the next 6 days Gemma turns the whole town upside-down but there’s no sign of Finn. As the days go by she is going through all the emotions: dissapointment, heartbreak, anger, sadness, hope and anxiety.

Believe me when I tell you that I felt everything with her - I felt so sorry for her and it also made me so angry that the police didn’t believe her just because they had to stick to their procedure. I also felt anxious a lot of the time but the way we got to know Gemma and Finn and their love story also made me smile a lot.

All in all I gave this story 4 stars and I would definitely pick up a book by this author again.

This book makes you really feel for Gemma and her absolute belief in the love she had with Finn. Even though friends and family didn’t believe what she was telling them, she stayed determined to find out the reason he didn’t show at the church. You go through the doubts with her, wonder if she is just being obstinate. Nicely written and explores the real meaning of love.

Bit of a cheesy love story, with a bit of mystery and suspense and overall I loved it.

A really easy read and one I couldn't put down until I got to the end, really likeable characters and a good solid story. Gemma and Finn are to be married, they are madly in love, but come the wedding day, Finn is nowhere to be found.

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC.
Will definitely be looking out for more Dani Atkins books.

It is Gemma and Finn's wedding day qnd Gemma is completely ready to spend the rest of her life with Finn except Finn doesn't show up to the church. Everyone is convinced he got cold feet except Gemma who is worried something has happened to him. The police won't open a missing persons case unless he is missing 6 days. Gemma must find something signing to prove he didn't leave willingly. A wonderful book that shows the strength of love, has lovely funny moments and I loved the friendships and relationships of the characters within the story. Q lovely feel good read.
