I was not able to get to this book, as I didn’t realize it was the third in a series I haven’t read the first two books for!

We've sort of seen in previous books in the series that Honor Bellini was probably going to end up with her sister's ex-fiancee, Owen Stone. And, while that's a setup that I don't usually enjoy, I really like Burton's writing and thought she might be one of the authors that could pull it off. I really wish that there hadn't been so much secrecy. Also, the big ending was So Very Public.
Honor is in Vegas for a conference. Surprisingly, Owen is at the same hotel. After a night out together, they wake up married. The chemistry is undeniable (at least to them; it took me a longer to buy in) and they decide to keep dating, but secretly until it becomes clear that it might be a longer term relationship that either thought.

Oh! I liked this one. This is the second book in this series that I read and it was oh so fun.

I liked the sneaking around. I appreciated watching feelings develop!

Also, that ending was oh so good!

Thank you to Berkley for the advanced readers copy.

Accidentally married in Vegas is my guilty pleasure, so when I saw this one, I had to grab it.
This one is more forbidden, sisters ex fiance trope. Honor has always had a thing for Owen, her sister's ex, but she could never do anything about that. When she's in Vegas for a wedding planner convention she spots Owen at the same hotel. They have some drinks and one thing leads to another and they wake up married.
When they go back home they realize they can't tell anyone, but want to wait until they are sure they get no other suprises from their one night together. They decide to stay married and just act like friends in the mean time. But lines were already blurred, so why not blur them some more?
To be honest, the sister's ex situation felt really awkward, mostly because it was him that broke her heart and even though she was married, she still was clearly upset about this situation. I felt bad for her sister's husband more than anyone because she clearly had unresolved feelings about the breakup with Owen. I felt like the family just acted as though the sister should just get over it and let Honor and Owen be happy because she is married and starting a family with someone else. But seeing your ex at the dinner table everyday with your sister is something I am not sure I could overcome either. 3.5 stars.

I really did like Honor and Owen together, and they clearly had chemistry, but I just wish they were more open about things instead of being sneaky for so long.
Thank you to Netgalley, Jaci Burton and Berkley for an early copy.

This was a cute accidental Vegas wedding romance from Jaci Burton. Throw in a dog and you have an easy and quick romance read.

Honor and Owen have been in each other's lives for a long time. He was previously engaged to her sister which made him forbidden fruit for Honor. When they both end up at the same Vegas hotel for work conferences, one drunken night leads to them waking up in bed together with a legal marriage certificate on the nightstand.

I thought Honor was pretty wishy-washy as a character - constantly changing her mind while Owen took it like a champ. I didn't totally feel their chemistry together because of how hot and cold Honor ran. The family dynamics were a lot in this book, and I felt like I was missing a lot of Owen's backstory. This is the third in a series so maybe it's covered in previous books.

Content warnings: The male MC previously battled cancer but is in remission during this book. Concerns about an accidental pregnancy from their wedding night they can't remember. The male MC runs a craft brewery and there are lots of scenes where drinking is prominent.

Thanks to Berkley Romance for the early copy. All opinions are my own!

Honor is in Las Vegas for work when she runs into Owen. He was her sister’s fiancé until he called off the engagement. They have known each other for years so she is happy to see a friendly face. Since they are both in town, they decide to go and enjoy a night out. Things get complicated when the next morning, they see a paperwork showing that they got married.

The blurb for this book sounds so good. Yes, it is a little dicey and I normally do not gravitate towards exes of a sibling kind of thing. However, I remember Owen from book one in this series. He was going through some health issues and his story made the ending of book one sort of sad. I’m glad he got his story.

There are two issues that I have with this book. The chemistry is off. The two see each other in Vegas but the initial interaction is so friendly. That is to be expected since Owen was engaged to Honor’s sister. I just didn’t understand how they wound up in bed and married. Not to mention, they were just so accepting of that. It threw me off. The author relies on the readers assuming there was some attraction that was there already. I don’t want to guess. I want to feel it. I need to see it through her lens.

The other issue is that the sneaking around got old quickly for me. I think they should have been honest because for some reason they never seem to be in a rush to get the marriage annulled. It became a weird dynamic after a while which took away from some of the romance that started to pop when they arrived back home.

Overall, the story is cute and a fairly quick read. If you read the other books in the series, you will enjoy getting glimpses of the other couples. Plus, you will enjoy the cozy feel of the small town characters.

3.5 Stars!

The Accidental Newlywed Game is the third book from author Jaci Burton's Boots and Bouquets series. The prequel and the first two books from the series are terrific, but are not necessary to read in order to enjoy this latest offering. This is a nicely-written love story, with hot sexy scenes and characters that I liked getting to know. If you are a fan of sisterly love, good friends and family togetherness, then pick up a copy of this book.

Honor Bellini and Owen Stone have been friends for many years. In fact, Owen was once engaged to Honor's older sister, until his cancer diagnosis and treatment caused him to change his future. Honor runs the wedding event venue of her family's winery. Owen crafts his own beer for his successful brew pub. Both are in Las Vegas on business and bump into each other. A few drinks and lots of shots of tequila later, they wake up married. For various reasons, they decide to keep their marriage a secret, which causes a ton of heartache and anger within Honor's family. However, they can't help falling into lust and love.

I enjoyed this secret marriage romance. Honor and Owen were very likable and their sexy times were both hot in and out of the bedroom. In addition, spending time with the characters from the previous books was a bonus. Overall, a solid read.

I have really enjoyed this series with The Accidental Newlywed Game being perhaps my favorite. The meet/cute isn't exactly a meet since these two grew up together but it was fun. What a surprise to Honor when she looks over and there's Owen checking into her Vegas hotel. Her heart skips a beat since she's still into him. And man, does he look good. He's been taking really good care of himself. They agree to a drink and dinner but things get way out of hand and in this case what happens in Vegas can't stay in Vegas. Legal documents don't just disappear when you leave!

Honor has always been in love with Owen. Even when he was engaged to her sister. She never let on because she's got honor and would never try to undermine her sister. Owen has been through so much and made the wrong choice to do it all alone. He's back to good health and socializing with his old friends but there's still some tension over his past behaviors, if only in his mind. They're in a pretty good place both to start a relationship but...there are a few things to resolve. First and foremost, Erin, Honor's sister and Owen's former fiancé, isn't going to like that they're seeing each other even though Erin's now happily married. Honor's relationship with her sister and Owen's relationship with the entire clan will take some work. But what really do they need to do? Can't they just annul the marriage and it's like nothing happened? Well, that wouldn't make for a very exciting book though. Of course, these two are fated and cannot keep their hands off each other. To top that, they really like each other's company.

It was fun to watch Honor and Owen because they're so natural together. It was so obvious to me, the reader, that annulment or divorce was not the answer. For these two to split would be a huge mistake. There's lots of emotions including stress between the sisters over the relationship and even more stress when everyone finds out they've been married for awhile. These stresses added a nice element to the story.

I was so glad to finally see these two get their Happily Ever After because they're just the nicest and most deserving and fit together so well.

The Accidental Newlywed Game was a fun "accidental marriage", forbidden romance story and set in my home state of Oklahoma!

Honor and Owen are both in Law Vegas for work when they see each other and are glad to have a familiar face. After a night of LOTS of drinking they wake up the next morning to a marriage certificate and rings on their fingers. One big problem is that Owen is actually Honor's sister's ex fiance. They decide to annul the marriage but after spending a little bit of time together their chemistry is off the charts making annulment harder and harder. But eventually their secret has the potential to harm others.

I really liked this book. It was a short, easy read. I read it in a day. I loved the Oklahoma references and the chemistry between Honor and Owen was really great. I struggled some with him having been previously engaged to her sister but it didn't bother me so much that I didn't enjoy their story and this book.

This is the first book in this series that I have read and now I'm curious about the previous two and will have to go back and check them out. This light-hearted romance was filled with steamy scenes, family drama, and witty comments.

Honor and Owen have known each other for quite some time so it wasn't unusual for them to hang out in Vegas when they realized they were both there. What they didn't expect was to get married, but that is what too much tequila will do to you. Even though they can't remember the ceremony, they both think that maybe something is there between them. Is it chemistry? Lust? Only time will tell.

We've all heard about people that get married in Vegas by mistake...well maybe not a mistake, but it is a drunken event and you have to wonder why they allow people to get marriage licenses if they are intoxicated? They did, and now they have to figure out how to handle everything because Owen was previously engaged to Honor's sister, Erin, which could make for a sticky situation even though Erin was happily married now.

Honor and Owen do have chemistry so it begs the question, why are they trying to get an annulment or divorce? Wouldn't it be better to try dating since they have hot for one another? Or maybe it is more fun sneaking around and not letting everyone know what happened until much later.

There are some family dynamics that come into play once the truth is out there which causes people to take sides. It is one hot mess and it takes some time and conversations between Owen and Honor to realize they should maybe stay together.

And let's not forget the rescue dog! Dogs always make a story better.

We give this book 3 1/2 paws up

Lately, I've had a bit of trouble getting into the books I've been reading. I figure it has to do with the fact that it's summer and warm out. It's easy to get distracted. But with The Accidental Newlywed Game, I had no issue jumping into it and loving it right away.

I was so glad to finally get Honor and Qwen's story. I knew we had a chance for some drama and the story didn't let me down.

I wasn't sure how the title would match the story. I hadn't read the description so I went in blind and I was so glad for it. I totally loved being shocked about why and how they got together. The author did a great job of making you feel just as shocked as the characters.

I loved Honor and Qwen's interactions together. How they didn't know they were perfect for each other in the beginning is a shock to me. They are perfect together. Right away you see that Qwen will do anything for her including getting a pet.

You'll love seeing how they fall in love and don't even know it or want to believe it. They both have a ton of guilt because of Honor's sister Erin and all that went down between her and Qwen so I think that makes it harder for these two to share their true feelings.

One of the best parts of the story is the conflict between the sisters. Having a sister I know how we act with each other and how we can at times refuse to speak to each other but in the end, work it all out. That part of the book was very well done. As a whole, this is a great story that you'll really enjoy reading. I will say that it is better if you take the time to read the series in order because it makes each book easier to follow. Plus it makes Erin's anger much easier to understand if you read her story first. Not to worry the who series is very good and easy to read.

This is book three in the Boots and Bouquets series and Honor Bellini's story. When Honor is in Las Vegas for a work conference she runs into Owen Stone, her sister Erin’s ex-fiancé and they decide to hang out together. When one tequila shot leads to lots of them, the next thing Honor and Owen realize is that they are naked in the the same bed, with gold bands on their left hand. Not remembering anything from the previous night, Honor and Owen slowly start to realize that they actually got married and possibly consummated the act! They both understand that they need to get the marriage annulled but decide to wait just in case Honor may be pregnant. Of course the more time these two spend together, the more the chemistry starts to fly and they find themselves acting like a married couple in secret. But fun, exciting times come to a screeching halt when the secret of their marriage gets out and everything blows up. It will take a lot of soul searching on everyone's behalf before these two can finally get their happy ending, but once they do, it is perfect!

I just loved this story and couldn't put it down. I loved the humor of an accidental wedding and the chemistry that Honor and Owen had. It was entertaining weaving in the fact that Owen was Honor's sister Erin's ex-fiance! Overall this was another great addition to this series.

This is a charming and humorous book with a fun premise and quirky characters. I couldn’t put it down! Honor and Owen are friends, he was engaged to her sister. They meet by chance in Las Vegas, have too many shots, and wake up married! Honor dreads telling her family and friends, but as time goes by they start to feel happily married. They have real feelings for each other, and have to figure out what’s next for them. Romcom readers will love this book! 4 stars.

This is the third installment of A Boot and Bouquets series, but can be read as a standalone. This was my introduction into the series, and I instantly fell in love with this group of friends/family. If you’ve read the first two books then I think you will really enjoy how much the pervious couples are in this! This is a quick read filled with dogs, family, beer, steam and dual pov! The story moved pretty quickly, and I was glad the main conflict happened sooner rather than later. I like seeing the drama play out a little bit longer than 1 chapter like some romances I have read, so this one was great! I cannot wait to go back and read the others in the series!

The Accidental Newlywed Game, is a totally enchanting story of two star-crossed lovers. Whose stars just happen to align in a most unexpected way. After a tequila inspired trip down the wedding isle. And so much more. After what amounts to a chance meeting in Vegas.

The problem...
To say that these two have a history would be the understatement of the millennium!
Not only did they grow up as best friends.
Owen was once the love of her older sister Erin's life.
Check the past tense there.
Can we say hard feelings, disappointment, and regret.

But...
As Honor and Owen's predicament does more to bring them together than to drive them apart.
They must come to terms with the fact that the undeniable chemistry that they feel for each other has the potential to be so much more.
If that is, they are brave enough to bring their relationship out of the shadows and into the light.

This is a beautifully written, emotionally compelling, romantic underdog story. That will have readers turning pages with crossed fingers and full hearts. As we witness the coming together of not just the lives and hearts of Honor and her leading man. But the healing of a family in the process.

Another aspect of this read to love is the fact that Owen is a Cancer survivor. Seeing Honor be there for him. Even though it was quite clear that the whole ordeal unnerves her. Really is enough to let you know that even though she may not be ready to admit it. She is a woman in it for the long hual with this man.
And this, as it turns out.
Is just one example of many where the proof of love is more than evident in both puddings.
But I digress.
This is a wonderful one-sitting read that once you start, you won't stop reading until the end.
May I say that this reviewer is chomping at the bit for more!
Next book please ma'am?

Reviewer's Note.

The Accidental Newlywed Game by Jaci Burton, book three in her Boots and Bouquets series is an enjoyable story of two people who have been friends forever, only to discover after a night neither recollects that they are married. Honor Bellini is a wedding planner, attending a convention at in Vegas, when she encounters her sister’s ex-fiancé Owen Stone, who is also there on business. After having a drink together they begin to get closer until they find themselves waking up in a hotel room together with no recollection of what happened the night before. The only clue is the wedding certificate that states that they are married. Honor has a bit of a reputation for being averse to romantic entanglements, so the fact that she manages to end up married to her older sister's ex-fiancé might be unexpected except for how much tequila they drank and that they had been friends for a long time. Owen ran from his initial wedding due to a devastating cancer diagnosis, and has since been welcomed back into the Bellini friendship fold; not like he was before, but with a little distance still being maintained. He is not sure how his recent unplanned marriage to Honor is going to play out, but it doesn't seem like it will be good. From the moment they wake up together, they know things are going to be really complicated. Deciding to keep the marriage a secret becomes difficult; especially since Owen is quite friendly with the guys involved with Honor’s sisters. The one thing Honor and Owen share is off-the-charts chemistry that sizzles and sparks whenever they are near each other. Honor and Owen will need to decide if they are staying married or divorcing before the family discovers their secret and they begin hurting people close to them. Owen and Honor are perfect for each other.

Ms. Burton wrote a wonderful lovely, thought-provoking romance that is a must read. She provided a tale filled with sizzling chemistry, strong attraction, family dynamics, amusing banter, and caring secondary characters, as Honor and Owen find love and a future together. I highly recommend The The Accidental Newlywed Game to other readers.

If you are looking for a perfect summer beach read – I’ve got your book right here!

This fun romcom is the third in the Boots and Bouquets series featuring characters Honor and Owen. The book has an amazing opening with a wild Vegas night involving her sister’s ex fiancé. Imagine having to tell the folks at home that story!

I like that we get both the male and female perspective in alternating chapters. I always like to know what the man is thinking in romance books. Plus, their story is nice and steamy!

I haven’t read any of the other books in this series, so to me there was a lot of family discussion, angst, and emotions that I didn’t really care about. Possibly it would have been more important if I had read the other books in the series. Nevertheless, the family angst didn't detract from my enjoyment of this steamy summer romance.

This is my first book by this author and I am looking forward to reading many more!

The Accidental Newlywed Game was messy, fun, and steamy! I’ve never read a Jaci Burton book before, but the blurb about the accidental Vegas marriage caught my interest. I didn’t realize this was book #3 of a series! At first I thought that the beginning was a little abrupt, jumping right into the conflict, but it makes a lot more sense when you consider that I missed the backstory of the first two books.

In the previous books, Owen left Honor’s sister at the altar. Honor always had a thing for him, though, and apparently he for her. Talk about messy! I’m a fan of a forbidden romance, though, and Honor and Owen had good chemistry when they were on their own. I’m very curious whether it was set up like that in the previous books! Owen seemed like a sweetheart, and of course my favorite part was the rescue dog.

I loved the vineyard wedding venue setting, and I wish we got to see more of the family and business dynamics. Again, maybe that’s something I missed in the previous books.

I wasn’t sure why Honor didn’t just take Plan B if she was so worried that she might be pregnant. The whole possible-accidental-pregnancy storyline was a little awkward, as there was all this buildup with her worrying and then one day she was suddenly drinking heavily again and oh by the way, she got her period so there was nothing to worry about.

I’m definitely interested in checking out the other books in the Bellini Sisters series.

First off, can we just say this cover is the bomb? It was what initially drew me to the book and I am so glad I decided to review it. And the pup in the corner?? Too cute!

I am a sucker for the accidental marriage trope and this one was pulled off perfectly. I loved both of the main characters as they had a true friendship going on for years. Plus, Owen is a sweetheart and so all in for Honor. The sparks were definitely flying throughout this one!

The story flowed beautifully and I was engrossed from the start. While I never read the other two stories in this series, I was good with following the storyline and connection between everyone.

There were a few inconsistencies that threw me off but with this copy being the Advance Reader copy, hopefully, they are corrected before publication. Plus, one area of drama was overplayed a bit but I think it was meant to be more of an excuse to stay together.

Overall, The Accidental Newlywed Game is fun, sexy, and a perfect afternoon read for romance and Happily Ever After lovers like me.

Honor and Owen? That was unexpected. Owen jilted Honor's sister Erin on the eve of their wedding by letter.  Erin is happily married now, and the Bellini family has forgiven Owen but still a relationship between Honor and Owen would raise quite a few eyebrows particularly when a chance meeting in Vegas, followed by a lot of Tequila shots finds them married and bedded. An Annulment? might be best but there's that heat between the two of them that won't quit. This is quite the delightful romp that makes wonderful summer beach reading.
Soon Honor's having mysterious dates with Owen, he's cooking her dinner and they're tumbling into his bed despite their best intentions to keep a little distance.  Owen adopts the dog that Honor wants to save from the pound and despite his guilt over standing up Honor's sister he starts plotting ways and means to win Honor permanently.
In a family as close knit as the Bellini's sooner or later the truth will be out and Erin who's now pregnant appears devastated. Owen and Honor are just as distraught. They don't want to hurt Erin, but they truly do want to find a way to be together. Plus, Erin is supposedly happily married so why is she so upset over Owen finding happiness with her sister.
It's quite the funny tangle that eventually will work itself out as all good love stories end with happily ever after.
