This is a pretty standard romance that pairs a good girl and a bad boy. I did feel the spark between the two main characters and the writing was completely fine. I think in reading this, I determined that no matter how interesting the characters, how explosive the fights or how sizzling the encounters, you can't really get away from predictability. All in all, this was a fine read and I'm sure many people would enjoy it.

I started reading this book and was quite enjoying it. I am familiar with Lauren Dane's books, so I was excited going in. However I wasn't truly connecting with the characters, so I ended up DNFing around 40%. Thank you to Netgalley for offering me an advance copy of this book.

This was a very sweet and sexy read. However I did feel this sort of disconnect while reading. I think this is because it's been many years since I've read the Brown series by this author and this one interconnects with that one, so there's this level of assumed awareness I did not have with past and now side characters. The book was packed with sexual tension and two MC's who can't get enough of one another. What started as a fling between the two quickly heats up and turns into a whole lot more. Both are busy being successful so compromise and communication becomes key to making their relationship work. The heroine is unsurprisingly concerned because the hero is a rockstar and one who has been known to embrace and indulge in that lifestyle mOr than once, giving him a not so surprising reputation. I really loved the contrast between the two. Both are so dedicated to their crafts that it too becomes a hurdle for them to overcome just to make time to be together. The heroine turned her passion of food into a promising career. While she may love sex, especially with the hero, she's not ready to just give it all up unless she knows for sure he's all in. She's not even sure she can handle dating a celebrity, particularly one with a reputation like his and who can blame her. There are many hurdles for them to overcome. It will be up to them to decide if their dedication and love will be enough. Smoking read that left me with more than one unquenched hunger.

Requested and downloaded this book back in 2013 with every intention of reading it but then it expired on my device before I had the chance. Have felt bad about that and as a result haven't wanted to leave a review but with more and more publishers relying on Feedback ratings I need to clear out some of these older titles in my queue.

I couldn't open this book on my kindle. For some reason the file was messed up. So I can't rate this completely fairly.

DNF @ page 105...not the book for me. I tried to get into it, but found myself skimming... it felt too detailed in someplace s and not enough in others. The sex scenes...no. Too much detail, I’m more of a anticipation kind of girl. I don’t need grave detail of the act itself. I skipped both leading up to where I finally called it quits.

There is just something to be said about food and romances. They just seem to go hand in hand, it may be due to the erotic tones of putting food in ones mouth. Or so we see in the book!
This book is steamy, it has a way of making you forget what you are meant to be doing and making you keep reading!
Entertaining to say the least!

Unfortunately. I was unable to finish this book and have to put it on my DNR list.
I was unable to connect with the character and therefore unable to get invested in this story.
I hope in the future I might try to revisit this series.

I have had this for a while sitting in my phone and overall it was an okay read it wasn't amazing and it wasn't horrible. I was just expecting more I guess with him being a rockstar I thought there was going to be more to the twist.
It was not bad because I didn't read the other books in the series so I wasn't totally lost like I thought I might be.
