Free Dancing: Random Stories From An Accidental Life

It's always a crapshoot when you choose a book because you like the title and the simple elegance of the cover. Lucky for me, I caught the book gods on a good day.

I am fortunate to have known many gifted people in my life. Most have been companiable but only a handful were as gifted a raconteur as Ken Brigham. From a decidedly inauspicious beginning as an anxious child who cried his way through his first years of school, he followed a meandering path which included a short lived stardom in a 1950's band, to a brief engagement with the seminary, and a 30 year medical career leading him into upper echelons of academia. He and his lovely wife have traveled the globe forging the kind of friendships most of us only dream of. Now retired and battling a second brush with cancer, he generously shares the happy accidents that have guided his journey. Free Dancing is an ode to life. It is exceptionally well written, interesting, and inspirational. I recommend it to you without hesitation.
