Nice guide. I liked the food, drink, and decor recommendations. The bottled water labels are a nice added touch. Also loved the flowchart.

These kits make book club meetings so easy. I love the prepublished questions and book considerations. Honestly a game changer when you’re a busy body but also a book worm.

I read this book about 3 years ago now and I still can remember everything that happened in it. I think this cover is absolutely stunning and the body horror in this book was the perfect amount.

The first thing I noticed about this book club kit was that it was missing trigger warnings. I wouldn’t always see this as a concern, but having read Wilder Girls, I feel like it’s kind of needed for this one. That said, I loved the author interview and was pleasantly surprised with the water bottle labels. It’s not something I would ordinarily think of and usually I’d be looking for bookmarks, but the possibilities with those water bottle labels for a book club meeting is so enticing!
The discussion guide and the quiz were great and I definitely think they’d add so much to a meeting. And, as usual, I’m a huge fan of the book recommendations at the end. I feel like a really great teacher, librarian, or bookstore could do wonders with this for their students!

Wilder Girls by Rory Power is a very interesting novel, in today's standards at least. It is not very often we see a morally-grey female character in fiction. I absolutely adored the writing in this book. Power is incredible at using words to convey very specific emotions using intricate connotations of these words. It is very accurately compared to Lord of the Flies because it explores morals in teens in a very interesting way. Much of the book is characters exploring their personal morals compared to those of others as well as social standards. The setting for this book is incredibly interesting, the character extremely complex and intriguing, and the story progression is just incredible---and every bit of it could be described as untamed or..... *Wild*(er). Definitely would recommend.

I love this book club kit! It's both aestetically pleasing and comprehensive. Gorgeous layout, which includes: an author interview, recommendations for upcoming reads, games, a playlist, recipes and discussion questions. I wish there was a kit like this for all books. I'd be more apt to pick up certain books for my book club. The work is done and looks like the making of a good time.

LOVE THIS!!! Wilder Girls was brilliant, so this bookclub kit was utter perfection!
The interview with Rory Power was so insightful, and definitely raised interesting ideas that I hadn’t considered when reading the book. I think this authors interview was particularly effective, as it also lets the bookclub have more insight, but also to consider discussing the ideas raised.
The discussion guide was great and would definitely provoke some interesting conversations.
And I absolutely adored the playlist!! Would definitely use this as some ambient background music for the bookclub.
Adored this so much, would highly recommend!!

Power captivates with her vivid prose and atmospheric storytelling. The narrative revolves around three best friends - Hetty, Byatt, and Reese - who navigate the harsh realities of their isolated existence amidst the looming threat of the Tox. As the Tox wreaks havoc, transforming both the environment and their bodies, the girls confront fear, uncertainty, and the fragility of their own humanity. What sets "Wilder Girls" apart is its powerful exploration of female resilience and solidarity in the face of adversity. Power intricately weaves themes of identity, agency, and the bonds of friendship, creating a compelling narrative that resonates long after the final page. Through Hetty's relentless pursuit of truth and Byatt's mysterious disappearance, the novel delves into the depths of human nature, exposing the lengths individuals will go to for survival and connection. The strength lies not only in its gripping plot but also in its richly drawn characters. Hetty's raw vulnerability and determination leap off the page, while Byatt's enigmatic presence lingers like a haunting specter. Power masterfully captures the complexities of teenage emotions, crafting authentic voices that ring true to the tumultuous journey of adolescence.

Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC.
I thought that Wilder Girls was an okay book, but the author interview in the Book Club Kit made me more appreciative of the story. Also, how amazing are the bottled watter labels?!!

This kit offers great book club activities, including discussion questions, food and drink suggestions, a quiz, and book recommendations. This is definitely a fun resource!

This was very useful and I appreciated it! Using the items to help with bot only buddy reads but book club read. Extremely helpful!

This was such a neat idea, i loved the print outs, the songs to listen to while discussing , just all everything that was put into this

I recently shared this book club kit with a few students who had decided to read "Wilder Girls" by Rory Power on their own. They appreciated the content of this kit, especially the discussion questions and the Tox Symptom quiz. It was a great enhancement to their independent reading. Thanks to Net Galley and We Are Bookish for creating this content and sharing it with me to review!

*Thank you to Rory Power, Delacorte Press, and Netgalley for providing an electronic resource book kit to read for free in exchange for a review. Wilder Girls was read on my own. All my opinions are my own.*
I was looking for a spooky, horror novel similar to the Lord of the Flies, and I saw this book all over TikTok. In addition, I wanted a book kit to read with my sister to discuss the book.
After reading, this book took inspiration from Lord of the Flies and the movie Annihilation (only have seen the movie sorry book lovers) and added some sapphic and feminist twists to them. If you love both of those books and movies, I would highly recommend this book to you.
The good:
I enjoyed having the Points of View.
I like that we learned bits and pieces of the disease, the Tox, throughout the book and the effects it had on students of different sexes and ages.
The tox affects the maturing of the girls.
Scientists researching the disease.
Body horror. Power certainly did not hide away from the description.
“It's like that, with all of us here. Sick, strange, and we don't know why. Things bursting out of us, bits missing and piece sloughing off and then we harden and smooth over”
Needs improvement:
The ending. It was rushed and left out some important answers.
The book club kit:
After reading this guide for the book with answers, it improved my reading experience. The book club kit provides an interview with Powers that answers some of the questions remaining.
The discussion guide also allows the group to ponder and find answers together like we did.
Overall the book club kit improved my reading experience for wilder girls. I would give the novel and book club kit 4 out of 5 stars.

The book club kit provides an extensive array of resources to enhance discussions around Wilder Girls. I found the interactive sections like food and drink suggestions and the book-themed playlist particularly enjoyable. The kit's design, linking back to the book's cover, was a nice touch. Prior to encountering this kit, I wasn't familiar with Wilder Girls, but it has now found a place on my never-ending 'to be read' list!

thank you so much for this book club kit! it's sure to be of use during our monthly meet up. Absolutely loved the book.

Currently going to use this for my book club! My students chose this book for their book club and after reviewing this book club kit, we are going to have so much to talk about.

I actually loved this printable Book Club Kit.
The graphics were well designed the art was tasteful

I finally have the excuse to make my book club friends read this book, and with a kit that even tells you which food to bring and music to play, I can't fail!
Thanks to We Are Bookish and NetGalley, who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest opinion.

These are so helpful and so thorough. We have been choosing a book each for BookClub which is lovely for experiencing each other’s taste, but can mean a real disparity in terms of reviews and discussions. These guides ensure our discussion is productive and interesting and provides us with plenty structure and material.
