I am a huge fan of the book club kit. I feel it includes everything necessary to get you involved while also reading the book. I love seeing author interviews, as they really help you get into the mindset of the author and what they envisioned with the book, which helps me to read it in the correct mindset. I loved seeing the graphics and what the different labels from water bottles and food would actually look like. This gives me the ability to really visualize what I'm reading. The song playlist is a wonderful touch and something I would definitely listen to while reading. A discussion guide is always an essential touch when creating a book club kit, but my favorite part was definitely the quiz. I loved being able to figure out what my tox symptoms would be, and it definitely put me in the mindset of the characters. Also the would you survive the tox chart was absolutely fantastic and such a great addition to the kit. Overall, I really loved this kit and overall feel it is exactly what I would be looking for if I'm interacting with a book club while reading.
This bookclub kit is amazing! It's perfect to use with my bookclub and has everything I need to help make my monthly bookclub even more fun! Thank you for this extra resource and activities! I love these!
Thanks for the accompanying book club kit for the bok Wilder Girls. It's great for readalongs!
Thanks to Netgalley and We Are Bookish for the kit.
This Book Club Kit inspired me to build a creative writing exercise for my students. I loved the "bonus" reader discussion questions Rory Power wrote, so I had my students create something similar for their projects. Perhaps not exactly how these are intended to be used, but I found it to be a great source of inspiration and will look to some of the other Book Club Kits for the same reason.
I’m obsessed with these guides for my classroom and for myself ⭐️💙
Love how these guides really immerse you with the novel. I print these out and have them by our class’s mini book shelf. As an English teacher, helps the students enjoy their reading while also aiding in their critical thinking with the discussion questions. The quizzes were a great touch in this one too, super fun!
The recommendations at the end of the kit are so helpful to myself and our classroom to find books similar. Keeps the reading going!
This made me very excited to purchase this book. I think that creating book club kits is such a brilliant idea because many people picked up reading during the pandemic while quarantining alone at home. These will allow us to get more involved with the book community and enhance our experiences
This book club kit contains so many great things to aid in reading Wilder Girls! The author interview was thorough; There is a guide of what to serve at a book club meeting, water bottle labels, playlist, discussion guide, and even a quiz! I really loved the book and TV/movie recommendations to read after Wilder Girls.
This book club kit was super cool! I recently read Wilder Girls, so I thought it would be fun to give some feedback on the kit.
To start, I thought the Author Interview was a great touch, and creates room for a book club to build their own discussions based on the author's thoughts. It also gives more context to the story as a whole.
The menu and playlist were a surprise, and I found them to be such a great addition! My book club likes to create playlists for the books we read, so having one in the kit makes a great addition. When we start meeting in person again, we'll have to think about incorporating snacks (and certainly getting ourselves a book club kit like this)!
I really appreciated the read/watch next lists as well, and agree with most of the choices. I would say, however, that even though this book has some body horror, that it's still a YA novel. Because of that, I found it a bit odd that Mad Max, for example, was recommended as a movie due to the rating. Maybe if there was some sort of way to separate adult content recs? Or maybe I'm just overthinking that part of it.
All in all, it was a really great kit, and I think it would be a good fit for most book clubs, and prompt good discussions.
The kit was very detailed with unique and different questions.
Can't wait to use it in our bookclub during our discussion
As someone who has tried and failed to create or be apart of MANY book clubs, I absolutely love this kit! This book is one of my top books on my TBR along with a few friends, after showing this to them we have decided to read and discuss together and use this kit to guide us! And all the extra goodies are so cool! Loved the water bottle labels and the food and drinks section!
This was such a wonderful little kit!
The q&a and discussion questions were interesting but, again, my favourite parts were the added extras. There was a tox symptom quiz, alongside a 'would you survive the tox' quiz. I found these a lot of fun and really well thought out.
Another brilliant book club kit.
Wilder Girls has been on my wishlist for ages and I thought it would be a great idea to use the toolkit to get a bit more out of reading it. The Q&A with the author was interesting and I loved the book and TV recommendations for things you should consider reading/watching after finishing the book. I wasn't looking to use as part of a bookclub but think it's a fantastic idea.
I adored Wilder Girls and so I loved all the extra materials here; the author interview was fascinating and the interactive elements were a nice touch - the playlist of songs, the discussion guide, the quiz to see what your tox symptoms would be and if you'd survive. A nicely put together book club kit, aimed perfectly at a teen audience, this will be perfect for your next YA Book Club.
wilder girls was amazing, and i am so happy that this guide was made! its such an underrated book, so hopefully this will get more people to think deeply about it. i loved all the extra materials, and the return to this world made me soo happy :)
This is a great book club kit! I Loved the variety of content offered in it an definitely recommend it for your next book club meeting.
The Wilder Girls Book Club Kit starts with an author interview. That's followed by some food and drink suggestions for serving at your book club. It's quite humorous in context of the novel. There are some custom labels for water bottles to print out. There's a playlist of songs which I found interesting. That's followed by a discussion guide with thought-provoking questions. After that you'll find a quiz to see what your symptoms of thr tox would be. Quite entertaining. You can follow the flow chart to see if you'd survive. The kit ends with suggestions of books to read next. I really liked this unique book club kit.
I hadn't heard of this book before but this book club kit made it sound really intriguing. Great discussion questions, loved the interview with the author, and even liked the playlist suggestions. The recipes seemed a little off, especially given this is a dark book where the characters are fed expired canned goods!
I really enjoyed this book club kit; I felt a lot of tie and effort went into designing the questions, quizzes, and author interview to make the kit super engaging. I loved the visual design and everything about the kit was a lot of fun. Some super insightful comments from the author and interviewer, and sets clubs up for lots of fun!
This is a great Book Club Kit! It includes an interview, fun activities, and recommendations based on the book. I highly recommend this kit for people and book clubs reading Wilder Girls.
What a fun book club kit! It's perfect for use with a group of teens. I think the fake bottle labels and the food guide is clever, and I also like the quiz and the "would you survive the tox?" flow chart. I think those are excellent interactive elements to use with a book club. Perfect for a local library teen reading group or a high school book club. Excellent resource!
