Where's Wally/Waldo in the form of birds! So very interesting for even adults to learn about birds. Which one lives in the marsh, in the delta. Why this bird do this, and why that one is peculiar in its' habit. Colorful and fun to do anywhere.

I downloaded this onto my Kindle. The format isn’t the best, it was three pages long with no pictures. Not sure if others experienced this too. My review is based on this experience.

"Where's Waldo" about the world of birds! And SO much better!
Illustrated by the same clever person who imagined this wonder that is well suited for anyone who is curious about the natural world but needs a little help. In spite of being very busy visually, I think it is great for ESL as well of interesting people of all ages. It's also perfect for those who are reading and learning WITH children. I love it!
Some of the chapters are In The Woods, Marsh, Delta, Hills, and By The Sea. There's even a maze!
I requested and received a free temporary e-book copy from Clavis Publishing via NetGalley. Thank you!

I couldn't get past how flat and two dimensional the drawings appeared to be. I also didn't like how all the people in every scenario were drawn to look directly at the reader/seeker. This book would be best for lower-elementary grades. Several different sceneries were provided for variety and some good facts about birds were in the margins with the seeking instructions. The illustrator introduces a repeating character, a boy with binoculars, who could end up being a recurring character in other titles. That might be fun.

When I was little I loved books that involved searching for things hidden in detailed images. I could sit for hours looking through books to find the small objects hidden on the pages. I've never seen a book with only birds in it though. If "The Bib Bird Search Book" was released 20 years ago it would have for sure been a favorite of mine. This book not only offers tons of beautiful birds to look for but it also has a lot of fun facts that kids can learn about the different types of birds. I highly recommend this to any kids that love a good treasure hunt or that really love birds.
Thank you Netgalley for the preview of this fun book.

I really love this book! Such a cute way to learn birds and do a seek-and-find. I think kids will really love this and get a lot out of it.

I really liked this vibrantly illustrated search book. It offers fun for kids and adults, too, can also learn more about recognizing birds. This should make springtime walks even more fun! There are two page spreads that showcase birds that are found in different locations, for example, by the sea or in the marsh, or in the city. Having just visited a botanical garden, I could have used some of these identifications.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this fun Seek & Find title.

This title will be published on 26 Apr 2022.

The Big bird Search Book by Erik van Bemmel is a very cute and colorful book. Someday when my granddaughter is interested in birds would be interested in showing her.

This book will certainly keep a young child occupied for a while! I would recommend for ages 5 through elementary school. My nephew loves animals of all kinds, and he was really enthralled with this one. Bird facts, bright pictures, bird searches, it has it all!

Fun illustrations with bright colours, a pleasure to look through. Search and find books are always a big favourite. This one was much, much shorter than expected though. A page before each puzzle with facts about the birds would be great. The number of birds is also so large, you could halve the number per puzzle and have double the number of locations/puzzles instead.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. Everyone loves a search and find book and I especially love one with books in it.

I like that this book provided some brief facts along with the name and an illustration of each bird. It was fun searching for all of the birds on each page. I do wish there were more pages and that there was more information about each bird.

Our kids love look and find books and this one did not disappoint. The facts were educational help set it apart from other look and find books we've had. The extra prompts are enjoyable as well.

This is just as much of a distraction as it is a proper 'my first ornithology' book – after a bank of factoids and trivia about our feathered friends we get five cartoonish dioramas of different environments, a check-list of twenty birds to find in each one, and a couple of extra things to either learn or pass our time. Forever looking for a brat with his binoculars you do find some odd-ball choices of incidental detail – the circus is in town when we turn to the city, so there's a kid in a bear suit on a unicycle, just because, and a bloke peeping out of the cannon about to fire him across town – surely to the chagrin of the coot he seems aimed at. One final puzzle, a maze with more spotting involved, does mean we have been poring over these pages for some time, but how much we've learnt remains to be seen – there's not even been a single sentence about how some birds need this environment while others prefer that. I know bird spotting does involve just that – spotting – but this might not be the perfect way to get young readers to be confirmed fans of the real thing.
