A beautiful, emotional, spicy roller coaster of a ride! They are polar opposites that just fit together. He's a rule follower and she's a wild, pushing the limits kind of gal. While we watch their relationship grow and unfold the suspense is sprinkled in artfully that has you just eating this book up! A great addition to the series and I can't wait to see where she goes next.

This book was lovely...but heartbreaking.

I enjoyed it for the most part, I small town cowboy cop and an outgoing gal from town.
I really liked the romance story, but felt they moved kind of quickly. Not a huge fan of that. However...I did really like this book and would recommend it...with a warning of domestic violence. If that is a trigger for you, you may want to pass on this one. This storyline was a bit darker.

The characters were really good and likable. The main characters, Cyn and Hunt as well as the supporting characters were are well developed and had a good part in this.

Surrendering to Hunt by Jennifer Ryan is the second book in the Wyoming Wild series by romance author Jennifer Ryan, but can be read as a standalone.

In the last book, Chase Wilde Comes Home, the Wilde family wasn’t the most endearing bunch. They were working toward making amends for how they treated Chase by the end of that book. I’m glad there is a bit of a time jump at the beginning of this book so it’s more believable that the characters are all in a good place with one another now. It helped me to accept Hunt as a main character and the hero he is in this story.

As much as I wasn’t a great fan of Hunt’s in the last book, I was a fan of Cyn. I knew she was good egg and wanted to see her happy. Eventually, Cyn gets her happy ending. But there’s a huge cost. Luckily, Hunt and Cyn finally stop sniping at one another and quickly learn to support each other because that support is needed throughout this book.

I keep thinking that Cyn and Hunt go together like peas and carrots, to quote Forest Gump. It’s not so much that their relationship is effortless, but their personalities definitely compliment one another. I melted over and over with the way Hunt looked after Cyn while he also tried (didn’t always succeed) to step out of her way instead of holding her back from her real personality. And, for her part, Cyn acknowledged she often didn’t think before making her decisions and it put her in danger.

It’s always beautiful when an author can show the growth of the characters as the story progresses. Even though this couple fell into a pretty serious relationship very quickly, it never really felt rushed to me. Partly because they have known each other for years, partly because of the things happening around them, but mostly because I didn’t feel they were left stagnant once they established their connection. They continued to grow individually and as a couple.

Having read a majority of this author’s books, I was very excited when some interesting people from a neighboring town were introduced. I just know we’ll be getting another series out of them and I cannot wait to find out Viper’s story. I know it’ll be a good one. In the meantime, there is still one more Wilde brother who needs his HEA.

Surrendering to Hunt by Jennifer Ryan is a romantic suspense story with equal parts of romance and suspense. It begins with what becomes a running thread of speeding tickets issued by lawman Hunt Wilde to wildcat Cyn Wilson. From there it is an ignoring of the attraction between the two to an acknowledgement of it. Before the romance continues the plot turns deadly. However, the romance is never far from the scene. Once the man characters decide to honor their true feelings they are both all in, saying so without any hesitation.

The suspense outshines the romance in this second book of the Wildes of Wyoming. Be aware that the second half of the book has several open bedroom door scenes. The plot of the missing family members, domestic abuse, and robberies are strong enough to carry this story without the explicit sex scenes.

The description compared this book to several other well-known cowboy romance authors. Actually Jennifer Ryan’s works are well known enough not to need any comparisons. Yet this series is more along the line of Maisey Yates, Rebecca Zanetti, and Joanne Kennedy then Carolyn Brown and Linda Lael Miller.

An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book should come with a warning - - romance with a side of heartbreak. As scrumptious as Cyn and Hunt's blossoming romance is, it's overshadowed at times by the heartbreaking events surrounding her sister, Angela and her cruel and ruthless boyfriend.

It's difficult to resist a romance between a straight-laced. no-nonsense police officer and the free spirited woman with purple hair. I couldn't help but pull for their relationship from the beginning. Then when you see the soft side behind each of them, it makes it all the better.

The author did a really nice job developing a romance in the midst of full on chaos. There was a lot going on and at times you felt distracted by it, but that's how life goes. It doesn't stand still - - it keeps moving on.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. I voluntarily chose to read and review it and the opinions contained within are my own.

This is a Cowboy Romantic Suspense, and this is the second book in the Wyoming Wilde series. I have read and reviewed the first book in this series, but I do think this book can be read as a standalone even though I really enjoyed the first book in this book series. This book covers a hard to read topic (abusive boyfriend and how much the cops can really do to help), and I think parts/all of this book maybe hard to read if you are trigger by reading things like that. I do feel that this book does a great job covering this topic without going too dark. I really love the characters in this book, and I love how the two main characters fit together so well. There are some funny, cute, steamy and hard to read times in this book. I felt this book shows an abusive boyfriend/relationship real and does not sugar coat it. Great Read. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Avon Books) or author (Jennifer Ryan) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

When I first saw the description of the plot I was very interested and excited to read this. Although I hadn’t realized when I first requested the book that it was part of a series but after reading it I can say it can be read as a stand alone. It is definitely a fast paced storyline with interesting characters who deal with a lot through the story but I felt it was too much insta-love for my liking. I’d like to thank the publisher and Netgalley for being able to read the arc in exchange for my honest review.

A beautiful, yet heart aching addition to this series. Cyn may be considered a troublemaker by Willow Fork police officer Hunt Wilde, but that doesn’t stop him from being extremely attracted to her. She doesn’t want to be attracted to Hunt either, especially as he keeps giving her those pesky speeding tickets. She has been trying to get her sister, Angela, to leave her abuser and if it takes Cyn standing up to him until he tries to use her as a punching bag, then so be it. When Angela finally finds the courage to leave him, she and baby Lana end up missing. Cyn knows that Rad is responsible and prays that they are safe. When her worst fears are realized, Angela is dead and Lana is still missing. What could he have done with the baby? As they search for Lana, she receives a lead from an unexpected source and will put her life on the line to rescue her sister’s baby. Cyn and Hunt know that their love and raising Lana together will help heal the trauma left by not being able to save her beloved sister. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)

4.5/5 I loved Cyn and Hunt’s story in Surrendering to Hunt by Jennifer Ryan, book two in her Wyoming Wilde series, an enemies-to-lovers story with a bit of suspense. Beware trigger warning: a difficult topic is approached throughout this story, abusive relationships and the restrictions placed on the police who really want to help. Hunt Wilde is a local police officer for the town of Willow Fork; he plays everything by the book. Cyn Wilson is the purple haired, free spirit, owns and runs a beauty shop and lives her life to the fullest; as if everyday could be her last. Hunt has pulled Cyn over for speeding and issued her a ticket more times than she likes; wondering if he is trying to reform her. The two couldn't be any different than night and day. At some point in their interactions Cyn has gotten under Hunts skin, in a good way.

Cyn’s sister, Angela, is abused by her boyfriend, Rad, who happens to be a childhood friend of Hunt. Cyn continues to try and convince her sister to leave her abusive situation; especially once Angela’s baby girl, Lana, was born. When Angela and her six week old baby daughter are missing, Cyn knows that Rad was involved with their disappearance. Cyn and Hunt work together trying to figure out what has happened to them and where they might be. Working together during the investigation, Cyn and Hunt are unable to deny the attraction and sizzling chemistry between them as sparks do fly. Hunt was a bit possessive of Cyn, but it appeared to be more because he cared and worried about her rather than trying to control her. There was a definite push and pull relationship between Cyn and Hunt; angering the other in one minute, while wanting to kiss them the next. Cyn also pushed Rad’s buttons which made him vengeful; going after Cyn and trying to hurt her.

Ms. Ryan wrote a wonderful, heartwarming story with some twists and turns that should definitely not to be missed. Readers are taken on a rollercoaster ride, chasing after clues to locate Angela and Lana. Meeting Hunt’s cousins and the biker gang really added an interesting twist; one I hope is pursuing and exploring them in future stories. She provided a tale rich with sizzling chemistry, clever banter, and endearing characters giving Hunt, Cyn and baby Lana a chance for a loving future together. I highly recommend Chase Wilde Comes Home to other readers and can’t wait for the next book in the series, that of third brother, Max.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Loved this second book in the Wilde series. This book focuses on lawman Hunt who is trying to keep the peace between a school friend and the woman who keeps him on toes. This book is a romantic suspense with some really sad undertones of domestic abuse. That being said, I couldn't wait to finish it and see what happened. I can't wait for more from the Wilde brothers. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book, all thoughts are my own.

The Wilde men of Wyoming are willing, wanting, and wanton. Hunt has been watching Cyn from afar for awhile. She irks him but also intrigues him. She is a hotbed of trouble for sure who needs the steady reliableness of Hunt, who is a tall glass of sexy law enforcement.
There is a ton packed in the story. Lots of violence, headlong impetuousness by Cyn, and a swift relationship.
I love the close community, the way it all wraps up measly, but there is still Max Wilde to find a match for….

This novel has a lot of the elements I like in a romantic suspense--a strong heroine, a hunky hero, action, a fast read--but it didn't fully hit the mark for me. Second in a series, it was my first. Though it reads fine as a standalone, I do wonder if getting to know Cyn and Hunt as secondary characters in the first novel would have changed my impression in any way. (See the very end for trigger warnings.)

Basically, this is an enemies-to-lovers romantic suspense novel, but both tropes are a little unpolished. Cyn and Hunt are first presented as the wild child and the straight-laced cop respectively. While Hunt clearly has befuddled lust for Cyn, she writes him off as the annoying officer who keeps giving her speeding tickets. However, practically overnight, the two are living together (to be fair, somewhat out of necessity) and professing their love. Not long after that, the wild-child, rule-breaking parts of Cyn seem to disappear and she becomes just your average strong but rule-following heroine. Hunt, for all that he stays cop-ish, doesn't seem to be very strict with the rules; he's far too okay with Cyn knowing elements of some investigations and even going with him to crime scenes. It's just a little weird, kind of like two stories knitted together.

The suspense part is also not fully baked. We know who the bad guy is and what he likely did, and the fact that we're repeatedly told that Cyn knows in her heart that XYZ happened (I'm trying to be vague to avoid spoilers) makes it clear not to expect the unexpected at the end. Also, there are two mysteries--Cyn's sister's disappearance and a string of home invasions--that Hunt suspects are linked, but I'm not entirely sure that the second one ever satisfactorily resolved for me. I don't think it was necessary to the plot, actually, except to make the bad guy "badder," (which in turn made him melodramatically bad).

All of this aside, it's a decent book. Yes, I may have skimmed parts (especially at the end, which goes on far too long after the suspense part ends), but I was still interested in the story.

I received an ARC of this book for free from the publisher and Netgalley. This review is given voluntarily and reflects my honest opinion. Thanks!

Trigger warnings (may be spoilers): Domestic abuse, violence, death

Surrendering to Hunt: A Wyoming Wilde Novel (The Wyoming Wilde Series) by Jennifer Ryan
First of all I love the Wilde men! This is Hunt and Cyn's story. We continue on with the Wilde men in this book - but it can be read as a stand alone. There is violence (domestic and other), angst, deception, attraction, lots of laughter and tears, Cyn wants to save her sister and Hunt wants to protect Cyn, there is also lots of steam to get us to a very HEA. I can't wait for Max Wilde's Cowboy Heart - Max's story.
Reasons I enjoyed this book:
Easy-to-read Funny Twisted Romantic Entertaining Action-packed Steamy Scary Page-turner Tear-jerker Great world building Wonderful characters Tragic Happily Ever After Unpredictable.
I was very happy to read and review this book.

Cyn Wilson needs help, her sister and nephew have gone missing and she knows she can't go in search of them on her own, so she turns to the only man she thinks she can trust, lawman Hunt Wilde. They don't have the best history, but she knows he is a decent man and will put her sister and nephews well being above all else.

As they embark on their search they begin to see things in one another they never expected, a friendship of sorts start to take hold, and not long after feelings begin to bloom... but both are wary to trust them. They are so different, a love shared between them would never work, or would it?

The pages of Surrendering to Hunt hold a story that will captive, stir up feels, and touch your heart. These two are about as opposite as two people could be, but for some reason they just make sense... well with time anyway. At first they are wary to trust their hearts, as they have been lead astray before, but with a little time and trust building things start to fall into place. They push each other's buttons, drive each other mad with desire, and tease one another at every turn... it's a match made in literary heaven. I loved watching these two fall for one another, their little battles of will and unwavering chemistry made this one quite an addictive page-turner! Highly recommend!!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

Fast moving romantic suspense. Police officer Wilde versus wild woman. Many heart-breaking and heart-warming moments. I skipped over the intimate details. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.

The second book in the Wylde series was enjoyable. Cyn and Hunt know each other as it's a small town, and her penchant for speeding helped them as he often issued her tickets, which brought her to the forefront in his thoughts.

Her sister Angela is in a relationship with Hunt's best childhood friend. They've grown apart due to Rad's anger issues and Hunts job. Cyn tries to save her sister Angela from Rad, to no avail. Her sister disappears along with her 6 week old daughter. The mystery and search begins. The book Is full of family, love, and blessings. I can't wait for Max's story!

This story was so good. We had sisters - one of which was in an abusive relationship. The other was a speed demon on the road and the police kept pulling her over. Hunt was the main one pulling he over and he tred really hard not to be attracted to her. When it looks like a tragedy happened, Cyn and Hunt worked together to solve it. This story had drama, flirting, heartache and a happy ending for a few people. I enjoyed all of it

I enjoyed this book, though it definitely needs a trigger warning. The subject matter is depressing but I see why the story had to play out the way it did. I did not read the previous book in the series so it can be read as a stand alone.

I loved this story! Hunt is a very swoonworthy hero. Cyn is a fabulous heroine. The book touches on the difficult topic of domestic abuse & is very emotional. I loved how strong both lead characters were & the strength of the connection between them. The action in the story is great. I haven't read the first one & it isn't necessary to read it before reading this one. But I will definitely go back & read the first & am looking forward to the next. I received an advance copy from NetGalley & am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book should come with a tissue warning. My emotions were all over the place reading this one. It had its funny moments, but there was also a lot of heartbreak and sadness and I just wasn't prepared for that level of emotion going into this. I didn't see a trigger warning, but this one should 100% come with one for domestic abuse.

My biggest problem with the book is how quickly Cyn & Hunt go from enemies to living together and saying 'I love you.' I completely understand wanting to not waste a moment in life because it's not a given that you'll have the next. But this didn't seem natural and instead seemed like the situation and adrenaline was making the decision for them. That situational love makes it seem less authentic. By the end, I could see how much they really did love each other and it was believable. But for most of the book, it just seemed premature.

I was definitely drawn into the story and didn't want to put the book down. The author does not hold back any punches and tells a story that will keep you on edge. I would have liked for some of the bad parts to not have happened, but understand the author needed to tell the story that way for things to work out how they did in the end. This book was definitely better than Chase's story, even if the plot didn't go the way I had hoped.

As I always seem to note with Ms. Ryan's books, they're VERY long and some parts do seem to be unnecessary and cause the book to drag. This book followed the same pattern, so I kept checking to see just how many chapters were left before I could reach the end. 41 chapters seems a bit overzealous when the chapters are long.
