I love these Book Club Kits and especially the ones that include an interview with the author. I am impressed with how well thought out these book club kits are. They always include really great extras, like the videos and the bookmarks. I think they're a great resource for a book club to use. The included discussion questions are perfect for encouraging deeper exploration of the book's characters and themes, and I loved how Netgalley began including this in request. Will definitely use in the near future with my very own book club.

This was a really well-rounded kit packed with resources for both established and newer book clubs.

I have a book club, but I found some of the more general ideas interesting, and if someone was just getting started with a book club or needed to make the structure a bit better, the kit has some good ideas for creating and defining that culture. I probably didn’t need the bookmarks, but some people might find that a fun touch,

The book recommendations offered a wide variety of different topics, from memoirs to organizing, so there was something for everyone, no matter what the area(s) of interest.

The author Q&A was pretty standard, but it’s a must-have resource for any book club kit. It would be interesting to maybe have links to video interviews to watch with your book club to get a little bit of that “visiting author” feel.

For clubs featuring “The Joy of Missing Out,” this is a really helpful toolkit and would definitely be a value-add for groups looking to have a themed discussion.

I think this book kit was great. I would have moved the what to read next to the end because it seems to cause a shift from what follows.

Fantastic kit for use in book club meetings. We struggle with discussing the book (we usually say a few worked about it and then start chatting about anything in general) and this will help us to stay on track.

I thought this was a great book club kit! It included discussion questions and I thought the prompt and questions about a priority list was a great idea to include. I also like that it included what books to read next. I thought it was helpful to include the starting a successful bookclub to do/ check list!
I also like that the author created a workbook that the reader can access for free.

Thank you to NetGalley, We Are Bookish publisher and the author!

The author interviews in these book club kits are always very interesting to read. This time a to do list template was also included, which was fabulous to work with.

They knocked it out of the park with this one. The bonus content like the priority list, guide to starting a successful book club, and workbook were great additions that I will definitely use.

This is a lovely and helpful discussion guide centered on The Joy of Missing Out, by Tonya Dalton. The kit is as lovely as the book and offers a wealth of information and guidance for any book club host.

The author interview at the beginning of the guide is a great way to begin discussion of the book and of Ms. Dalton's experience with embracing the Joy of Missing Out. The questions and her answers bring up not only some of the major issues in the book, but also the deeply personal nature of writing and how the process was different from podcasting, and ultimately more revealing and powerful.
Since there are activities within the book that Dalton asks readers to complete to identify what is most important to them--their North Star--this is also an obvious entry point for discussion. Sharing guiding thoughts and understanding others' perspectives and priorities is bound to lead to meaningful conversation.

Finally, there is useful and fun information at the back of the guide for starting and running a book group in general. There are cute bookmarks one can print ahead of time to give to group members, as well as ideas for food formats, and even a link to a workbook to download and use with the book.

Altogether an excellent resource bound to facilitate meaningful discussion and maximum fun!

A nice and valuable kit to have. I have not read the book by Tonya Dalton, but from reading the interview, I will pick it up. I liked how there were books recommended to read after reading The Joy of Missing Out by Tonya Dalton. If I were to start a book club in my community I would definitely use the outline set up in this kit as it is well put together.

This book club kit contains a wide range of materials designed to act as a companion to book club meetings on The Joy of Missing Out. I really liked the interactive elements of this kit and that it allowed you to implement the principles described in the book. I liked the design of the kit and how simple yet effective it was.

I'm typically not a huge fan of self-help books however having read this kit I would be willing to give The Joy of Missing Out a try!

The Book Club Kits are fabulous tools to enrich your reading experience. They provide questions that make you reflect more on what you've read and points to discuss in a book club to hear different thoughts and explore further. Even if you're not in a book club, you can use it to ponder on some aspects of the book that you may have missed or wouldn't have lingered on when you read it. If you want to get more out of a book, the book club kit will act as a wonderful learning tool. Highly recommended.

This is a book I’ve wanted to read since I first heard about it. It wasn’t available on NetGalley anymore and it’s not on Kindle Unlimited. Luckily I was able to snag it from our local library. But I still didn’t find the time to actually read it! I returned it, untouched. It wasn’t until a couple months ago, I decided to borrow it again. I placed a hold as our local library only has one copy for the entire state. A few weeks later, I was able to borrow it and I managed to read it before it was due!

The Joy of Missing Out is a book that is definitely worth the read! We live in this world full of so many things to do. But we shouldn’t definite ourselves by those overflowing tasks. There is no joy in trying to do everything for everyone. We can, however, focus on our strengths and ask for help in the other areas. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that! That’s why it takes a village to raise kids!

I love how Tanya Dalton focuses on real stories of women who are struggling in different areas. We are not alone! It’s also important to build ourselves a friend or group of friends who we can turn to when we are struggling. They can be a great listening ear to get the frustrations out or maybe they can help sort out potential solutions to issues.

This book deserves 5 out of 5 tiaras because of how useful the information is! It’s easy to read and full of tips that I can totally take advantage of in my own life!

Not only did I enjoy the book, but the Book Club Kit is full of great information as well. The Kit asks the author, Tanya Dalton, some questions about writing the book. There are discussion questions, bookmarks, tips to start a book club, and a link for The Joy of Missing Out Workbook. If you have or want to start a book club, this is a good place to begin!

A few years ago, I began following Tanya Dalton after I purchased a pretty neat planner from Office Depot. I loved the sections of the planner and have returned for the following year’s planner, but she now sells it and other things on her website: inkWELLpress.com.

I actually used this Book Club Kit prior to reading the book to find out if it was a book I wanted to buy. Some of these Book Club Kits are great for this reason.
