The Firekeeper’s Daughter is one of my favorite books and this book club kit is fantastic. The letter from the author, interview, and discussion questions are great for facilitating conversation. I always love printable book marks and the art is beautiful. I love that it recommends books by indigenous authors and additional resources.

I love Firekeeper's Daughter by Angeline Boulley and am thrilled that We Are Bookish made a Book Club Kit for it!
The author interview gave me new insight into the writing process behind the creation of the book and information on the designer of the beautiful cover. The questions provided for book club discussions are well thought out and worth talking about. I also love the printable bookmarks - a lot of teens love freebies that go along with the books they read!
Thank you to NetGalley and We Are Bookish for creating these and making them available for us - please continue to make them!

The graphics, printable bookmarks, author interviews, content/trigger warnings at the beginning of the kit where they should be, books to read next (with cover art and synopsis), indigenous community resources. This book club kit is thoughtful, beautiful, and written by readers for readers! I was expecting a one or two pages of discussion questions, but this kit is everything you need to help foster and support a quality book discussion.

What a great kit! I am the moderator for my local book club and we are reading this book this year! I also moderate a lot of buddy reads on my different book clubs online. I utilize book club discussions quite often and love to see them in a book. This kit will be a great addition to our club discussion. The interview and background make this interesting for the reader. I plan to make the bookmarks for my group, maybe laminate them. I think the discussion questions used are thought provoking and will make for a great meeting. I want to add that the graphics in this kit and the book cover really add to the appeal of this book.

This is the perfect kit if your bookclub plans to read this book. It had so many resources and great questions that your club can discuss as you read. As a bookmark hoarder, I also appreciated the printable bookmark templates!

This was a great kit to support a book club. I thought there was a lot of great ideas to begin discussions and encourage even the shy members to speak up and participate in the group. I plan to use this to support when my book club reads this book. What a great resource!

I love these book club kits! They’re beautifully made and include tons of good stuff, like author interviews, discussion starters and what to read next.

This was just the Book Club kit providing bookmarks, introduction to the author, book questions and more book recommendations of fellow Indigenous authors. It is excellent to have on hand.
The book itself was emotional, sad, moving and relatable in some ways. What I mean by relatable is that I am an Indigenous adoptee trying to reconnect with my culture. Walking between two worlds is hard and this is exactly how Angeline Boulley describes her main characters, one being an adoptee and one growing up biracial- white and indigenous, never being truly enough for either side.

This is a really great book club kit, thank you for providing this resource NetGalley!!! It was very well recieved by my bookclub

This package is great! This is going to really help me with my Teen Book Group, as we will be reading this title in April. Thank you so much.

Firekeeper's Daughter by Angeline Boulley is an exceptional and enthralling novel that deftly intertwines themes of identity, justice, and community. The protagonist, Daunis Fontaine, is an 18-year-old biracial young woman balancing her Ojibwe heritage and life in her small Michigan hometown. Her world is turned upside down when she witnesses a shocking murder connected to a dangerous new drug epidemic.
Boulley’s narrative is immersive, with vivid descriptions and well-developed characters. Daunis’s journey of self-discovery and the exploration of cultural heritage, family bonds, and Indigenous community struggles are both moving and insightful. Daunis emerges as a strong, relatable protagonist, whose resilience and intelligence are evident throughout the story.
The pacing of the novel is well-balanced, seamlessly blending moments of tension and intrigue with heartfelt, reflective passages. Firekeeper's Daughter is not only a gripping thriller but also a profound commentary on social issues, making it an essential read for those interested in young adult fiction with depth.
Angeline Boulley's debut novel leaves a lasting impression, proving her to be a significant new voice in contemporary literature. Firekeeper's Daughter is an unforgettable journey of courage and self-discovery

This is such a nice supplement for a book club reading The Firekeeper's Daughter! I especially appreciate the authors intro and guided questions. The book marks are a nice touch too.

This is such a great resource for book clubs! My club and I really enjoyed reading the Author's note and interview as that really adds a personal touch to the experience. The bookmarks were cute and several people printed them out to use later. I especially love that there's a what to read next book recommendations section. I will definitely be using more of these resources in the future!
