The talent Emma Robinson has to put such an emotional story into words is pure talent. This brings to horror something that could happen to any mom, making decisions to the extent of how far one goes to protect a child.

You’re not gonna want to put #OnlyforMyDaughter down until you finish.

This novel hooked me in from the beginning. I enjoyed the dual timelines in the story. The novel tackles some hard hitting issues like rape and bullying. A well written book

This book had me on a roller coaster of emotions as the reader. I love the authors way of telling the story. I highly recommend it, and will love to read more books from this author in the future.

This is a dramatic read that had my immersed in the characters and their lives. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and trying to figure out what was going on. This is a solid read, at times slow, but enjoyable still.

And she's done it again! I am a huge fan of Emma's books and am yet to give anything less than 5 stars.

Like all of Emma's books, the story takes you through what some may find relatable. The story is believable which makes it much easier to be instantly pulled in and become emotionally invested in the families.

The author writes so beautifully and really knows how to pull on her readers heartstrings. She is very talented and I always thoroughly enjoy her books. It was very hard to put this one down!

A powerful read telling a story of motherhood and the relationship between a mother and her daughter. Julia is distraught when her daughter Grace is hurt and ends up in a coma. Determined to find out why , this book will take you into the night. A.powerful psychological read.

This was a heavy read, My first read by this author. I wanted to love it but it fell flat for me. 2 stars

I enjoyed this on the whole. At times the characters were difficult to engage with but generally it was an interesting read and the different perspectives kept you guessing. The ending tied up a little too neatly but enjoyable nonetheless.

I’ve read a few books by this author and she never disappoints.

Short snappy chapters told from different perspectives and each one making you think about each character’s dilemma and what would you do?

Only dropped a star as I struggled with how Julia responded initially and then how Julia and Samantha paired up before involving the police - not sure how realistic this was.

Overall though a great read.

Friends since they met a nursery school Keira and Grace are complete opposites as are their mum’s Samantha and Julie.
Despite their differences the 4 strike up a friendship that spans 10 years. As the girls go to separate secondary schools they start to drift apart. Julie and Samantha still meet occasionally as Julie is the gardener, who maintains Samantha’s lovely gardens and those of her posh school mum friends.

One day Samantha gets a visit from the police to inform her that her daughternKeiranhas been attacked and rushed to hospital. Julie is with her when the police arrive and helps to sort things out to get Samantha to the hospital, she then heads home worried about how she is going to tell Grace her friend is seriously ill? What Julie finds when she arrives home shocks her to the core. What has happened and why won’t Grace tell her what has been going on?
Who can she turn to for advice?

This is a lovely story about friendship and how it can span years, generations and different lifestyles. It’s a story about the struggles faced by teenagers, their parents and their friends and how hard each can find life.

Emma tells a great tale and her characters are so lifelike, you instantly feel a bond with them.
I once again thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this read.

Another great read from a fab author.
As ever you will need the tissues at the ready at some points during the story. As I’ve come to expect from this author, there are twists and turns and everything isn’t always as it seems.
She builds the characters and scenes up well, your feelings will change towards the main characters as the story progresses and we learn more about what has happened.
This story deals with some sensitive topics but deals with them well, showing how doing the ‘right’ thing can be blurred by the unconditional love between mum and daughter and between young friends.
As always, looking forward to what this author does next.

3.5 stars. I found this book interesting and it had quite a unique storyline that kept my attention. I struggled to like the characters or relate to them in anyway.

An emotional read which was interesting and dealt with very topical issues such as bullying, self harming and teenage angst.
I struggled a bit with the characters of Julia and her daughter Grace at the beginning, not sure about how credible they were. Being fully aware that a mother’s love has no boundaries, I just felt Julia’s parenting was not what I would have expected in the circumstances. Obviously the moral dilemmas the story raised, were sensitive topics. The author dealt with these very well.
So with some mixed feelings this book rates a 3.5 stars from me. But I am pleased I had the opportunity to read this ARC.

Another book about bulllying that seemed to unfortunately fall back on stereotypes. It didn’t need to have done because the characters and plot could have gone in just a slightly different angle and been more interesting. I’m not sure parents have so little in their lives to worry about that lets them continue with the whole mean girl thing even in to adulthood.

Emma Robinson is one of my favourite authors, and she has such an amazing ability to create characters that are so authentic, with stories that are often heartbreaking and emotional but that resonate with so many of us.

I really loved this book. Right from the start I was drawn into the story. The main characters, Julia and her friend Samantha and their daughters Grace and Kiera are so well drawn, and I found myself liking them all. They’re not without their flaws, but this is what makes them so real.

Grace is going through a tough time, and it’s so hard for Julia to know how to help her, and how much she should protect her.

The story is really compelling and raises a lot of emotive topics, and a lot of moral dilemmas. While the events that happen are shocking, they’re unfortunately all too real these days, and it’s easy to imagine any of us being caught up in a situation like this.

As always, sensitive topics are dealt with in an empathetic way, and it makes for a book that’s both emotionally charged and very thought-provoking.

I really can’t recommend this book highly enough. A completely immersive read that will have you completely drawn in from start to finish. It will stay with me for quite some time.

This definitely has a "grabbed from the headlines" feel as teenage bullying leads to violence and injury. Mothers all over will feel for Julia as she struggles to protect her bullied daughter. The pressures on teen girls and even their mothers to be perfect and "in with the right crowd" definitely will strike a chord with many readers. The struggle of parents to get their teens to talk is real, even when they are in terrible danger. It took me back to the most unpleasant parts of high school, things that have only gotten worse with the introduction of social media. This heartbreaking read might make you pause your day and remind the teens in your life how much you care. Gut-wrenching, emotional, and true to life. Highly recommend.

This was an amazing book, about motherhood and friendship. Which loyalty is stronger? The ending isn’t what you think it is, but I will keep you guessing right up until then.
