This was my first time reviewing a Book Club kit and definitely think it would be beneficial for a new book club to get between the lines on this Time Loop romance!
The author Interview with McQuiston provided insights into character development and how the story was created. These were lovely ‘behind the scenes’ additions which I wouldn’t have had access to, without the kit.
The bookmarks and playlist bring a more interactive approach to a book club discussing One Last Stop.
The ‘what to read next’ section was a fantastic accompaniment which has provided two new books I hadn’t heard of that I’ll be adding to my to be read pile!
All in, this book club kit is a brilliant source and with a recipe that involves maple syrup AND hot sauce, it goes the extra step to immerse the readers in the OLS universe.
Thank you to Netgalley for this gifted book club kit. I finished reading One Last Stop today and used the bookmarks included in the book club kit. The discussion questions helped to dissect the book piece by piece and absorb certain scenes better and appreciate certain characters more. I feel that discussion questions should be included with every book, it really enhances the reading experience.
I am fond of the "What to Read Next' section, it makes it easier to choose your next read. The recipe for The Su Special is included, my heart is melting right now! If you've read the book, you'll know the importance of The Su Special. Thank you for including a playlist, I always find myself immediately searching for a playlist when picking up a new book. This is a useful guide, no, this is a need when reading One Last Stop.
A great resource for book clubs! This is a great kit for One Last Stop. Lots of content, good questions, and a great design.
Another fun book club kit from We Are Bookish- FT: Casey McQuiston and One Last Stop.
Content warnings -I liked how they were broken down into ones that were alluded to and ones that were actually 'on-page', it's more helpful to those who are sensitive to content to be able to know the intensity of the themes that may affect them.
LOVING these mini-views, it's awesome to glimpse a side of the authors we may not always get to see...social media shows us what everyone WANTS us to see, and isn't always the truth. Being able to hear what inspired Casey to create a specific character or to share the challenges found with writing within the limitations THEY created- it makes me more apt to buy from the author in the future. I want to read from writers who are relatable and genuine and forming that connection through these interviews I think is important. PLUS I like seeing what questions the author would ask readers in a discussion about their book- makes me think of some of the thoughts they may have about the directions they went or could've went with the story.
FAB. 'What to read next' section - one of my favorite parts! Some books I hadn't heard of, some I have- gives readers ideas of books they may enjoy also.
BOOKMARKS- HECKKKK YASS! AND THIS QUOTE 'I fell in love with you the day I met you, and then I fell in love with the person you remembered you are. I got to fall in love with you twice. That's- that's magic'. BE STILL MY HEART!
UMMM, cooooolio new added content for this kit? A recipe!! Have fun making (AND EATING) this sandwich with your book group while you discuss- ALSO while listening to the included playlist!
Fun and playful kit, would be a unique addition to utilize if this is a book club kit!
I have already read another book by the same author and as much as I like her way of writing, unfortunately I did not like the story in the same way. books that have a love story as their main element don't drive me crazy, but still I found it a pleasant read!
A fantastic resource for book clubs! This is a great kit for One Last Stop: a variety of content, thought-provoking questions, and a great design.
This was a fun and quick book club kit. It has good questions and a nice interview with McQuiston. I liked this and I like that it's pretty light as it leaves more open for book clubs to discover for themselves.
I loved this book club kit! One Last Stop is one of my favorite books and Casey McQuiston is one of my top favorite authors. I enjoyed reading the interview with them and learning about their writing craft. The book club kits are always filled with fun extras like bookmarks, recipes, and thoughtful discussion questions. In particular with One Last Stop, I appreciated that there was additional resources to learn more about LGBTQ+ history and reading recommendations. Great job!
This bookclub kit is amazing! It's perfect to use with my bookclub and has everything I need to help make my monthly bookclub even more fun! Thank you for this extra resource and activities! I love these!
I will be adding Book Club Kits whenever I find them. I loved the author letter and interview. The bookmarks were a great addition to this kit as well. I can not wait to print them and hand them out at my book club meeting. I printed out the author letter to go with my copy of this book as well. We moved this book up our book club reading list partly because I had this kit.
Thank you NetGalley for sending me this kit in exchange for an honest review.
I have to admit, when I read One Last Stop I gave it a solid 3⭐️ rating. It took me awhile to get into and I wanted to join in on the hype but couldn’t fully.
This guide honestly made me rethink the book some more and push my rating up. I love this kits and how they immerse you into the book through the interview with the author, recipes, and playlists. Going to bring this to our LGBTQ center since we have a little library there with my copy 🏳️🌈💖🌼
This book club kit has everything that you need to navigate yourself in the world of this book. It includes an interview with the author, discussion questions and content warnings (to name a few).
Really enjoyed looking through it and I think it's a brilliant kit with bonus features enjoyed by all!
Casey McQuiston's One Last Stop was one of my favorite books of 2021, and this Book Club Kit adds extra insight that only elevates the novel. The author note and author interview are both greatly illuminating. The discussion questions are sure to get you - and everyone in your book club - thinking deeply about various aspects of One Last Stop. This kit also includes a list of content warnings and printable bookmarks. For anyone salivating over the sandwiches described in the novel, a recipe for Jane's signature sandwich is included; there's also a playlist of the various songs mentioned throughout the book - most of them from Jane's time! Both can make a book club that much more interactive and fun. Finally, there are reading recommendations for books similar to One Last Stop, both fiction and nonfiction. This is a great kit, whether or not you're part of a book club.
This kit is awesome! It has been so helpful for our book club. We love to read and we love to talk, but sometimes it’s hard for someone to talk about what they read. The questions give great starting points that usually lead to more discussion. It’s also nice to get special information about the book from the author. It makes everything feel a little bit more special. I will say, hands down, my favorite part is the food and drink recipes. Such a great addition that everyone loves! This is great for existing book clubs, but also a great starting point to start something new! I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.
Book Club Kit: One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston is a wonderful book club guide by We Are Bookish and NetGalley. The PDF version is 16 pages.
This guide got major points from me when after a letter from the author, the next page included content warnings in the book. It is so very important to list stuff like this at the beginning of a review, to ensure that the book is the right thing for a reader to peruse. The guide also includes an interview with the author, discussion questions for the book, suggestions on what to read next, and various fun things like bookmarks, recipes, and playlists.
The author herself provides some questions she'd like book clubs to discuss, which I really appreciated. Additionally, there are ten further discussion questions provided by We Are Bookish.
Special thanks to We Are Bookish, St. Martin's Griffin, and NetGalley for providing an PDF of this book club guide for me to review. All opinions contained herein are my own.
This made me very excited to purchase this book. I think that creating book club kits is such a brilliant idea because many people picked up reading during the pandemic while quarantining alone at home. These will allow us to get more involved with the book community and enhance our experience with the story.
Excellent kit that worked very well for me and my long-distance book club! It also provided a good reason to re-read an excellent book.

I honestly enjoyed this!
I wasn't expecting much from a book club kit since:
a) I wasn't really doing this for a club I'm hosting or one that I'm a part of—but the extras.
b) It was my first time reading a book club kit and I didn't know what to expect.
I really loved the author interview and all the extras included with the kit. I thought that it would be very one-sided but boy, I was wrong—the recipes, playlist and printable bookmarks were all super cool too!
The only let-down for me was the book recommendations, which I think weren't giving off many ONE LAST STOP vibes, but that could be just me.
Overall, the book club was great and I'd recommend it to fans of Casey McQuiston!
Okay I'm loving all these book club kits from NetGalley to help with book discussions! They're also great for helping prompt Bookstagram & GoodReads posts.
Maybe it’s because I fall in fleeting commuting love with approximately 7 people every time I’m on the MTA but oh my goodness I don’t even have the proper words (just tears of all varieties) for how this book made me feel. It was perfect. Absolutely perfect. I really dug the paranormal aspect of this book as well as the found family theme. I highlighted my kindle like a maniac while reading this! Casey McQuinston did it again and has officially earned herself a spot on my auto-read authors list. Maybe it’s because I’m in my first year of living in NYC as an adult trying to find her space in this messy, wild place but this book was magic to me.
Really enjoyed this, including reading the interview questions with Casey. Was very useful and insightful. Will enjoy using the questions with my book club. Also love the book marks that we can print. Thanks netgalley.
