I didn't realize this was the last book in a trilogy, but after reading this one, I don't think I'll be picking up the other two books any time soon. This story fell short for me. The characters seemed a little ridiculous and the love story felt forced.
THIS FUCKING BOOK HAD ME SCREAMING!
I am not a huge fan of friends to lover because I get infuriated when people don't act on their feelings to not ruin a friendship. Somehow in this book I loved it. *shocker*
I loved the friendship and all the cute moments that lead up to them finally acting on their feelings. The way I screamed every time they got interrupted and wouldn't act on their very clear feelings.
Loved the writing, loved the story, and I can't wait to read more book by this author.

I loved this book! I enjoyed the characters banter! 4/5 stars! The plot was delicious. Sometimes the FMC would get on my nerves but other than that it was good!
A Massive Thank You to the Author, the Publisher and NetGalley for giving me the chance to read and review this book prior to its release date.
Story was good but took too long for me to get hooked! The story was very clever and interested, just not my cup of tea!
"Book on a Feeling" by Jayci Lee is a delightful and heartwarming contemporary romance that will sweep you off your feet. The story follows ambitious CEO, Aimee, and charming artist, Oliver, as they navigate the complexities of love and career aspirations. Lee's engaging writing style, compelling characters, and sizzling chemistry between the leads make this novel an irresistible page-turner that leaves you with a smile and a warm, fuzzy feeling. Perfect for romance lovers, "Book on a Feeling" is a captivating and enjoyable journey of love, self-discovery, and second chances.
This was cute, if predictable, and seems to be marketed for a younger audience. I also didn’t realize this was part of a series. There seems to be a new trope of books about books set in bookstores or libraries, and it’s getting a little tired for me. This was good, not great.
Thank you to the publisher for allowing me advance access to this title. I really enjoyed reading this story and look forward to reading more from this author. As a reader, I am really motivated by character driven stories and I found myself quickly becoming immersed in these characters’ lives. Full review to come.
A cute romance book, but with major flaws that I wish could have been changed. These characters fell flat for me. I did not feel invested in them in the way I think I should’ve been. I wonder if it’s a mistake on my part and I should have read the other two installments in this series. I wanted to love this, I mean friends to lovers is a perfect trope with a totally bookish FMC. That’s like an immediate 5 starts. But you have to balance the promised tropes with the content and for me it just didn’t work.
This was a cute little romance that Really enjoyed but don’t think will stick with me. This book follows Liszt a high powered attorney who hates her job. After finishing a big case Lizzy returns home to rest and relax. While there Lizzy finds herself looking for a project so she decides to help redo the local bookstore. While helping the bookshop owner for free Lizzy runs into her brother Jack. Lizzy grew up with Jack and Jack has been secretly in love with her ever since.
There was a lot I enjoyed in this book such as the love of books and the small town vibes but really need to stop picking up these second chance romances as I always seem to get annoyed with the plot. I will say that the characters were not my favorite in this book but still though they had a really cute relationship. Also this is the first book I have read in this series so I feel like I may have missed some of the character development in the earlier books. I would like to thank Netgalley and the publishers for a chance to read this book for an honest review.
I genuinely loved this read! I was looking for a sweet young adult romance novel to get me out of a slump following my finals, and this did just the trick. I was intrigued by their dynamic and I appreciated that the dialogue was not too cheesy as I would address sometimes other books in the genre to include. This trope of old friends to lovers also enabled the storyline to feel more natural because their chemistry was preexisting from the past, rather than some other types of relationships that I feel move too fast.

This book was an absolute delight! The MCs were so easy to fall in love with, although their miscommunication was frustrating at times! I'm a huge sucker for romance books that incorporate book stores so I knew I would enjoy this one. I had no idea it was part of a series, but it read as a standalone and I got the gist of what happened in the other two books. I loved the small inclusions of Korean culture and thought they were a nice touch to the storyline. The second chance portion of the book seemed a bit rushed in comparison with the length of the rest of the book, which is why I gave it 4 stars. Overall, I would definitely read another Jayci Lee book and will keep my eyes peeled! Thank you NetGalley, St. Martin's Press, and Jayci Lee for allowing me to read this one in exchange for an honest review.
Surprise surprise. I read another romcom series out of order 😂
I read the first book and the third book. So no wonder I was a bit confused about the timeline of events. I kept thinking “wow, I don’t remember that from the first book”. So, I definitely recommend reading these in order to avoid that.
This was a sweet friends to lovers romcom and I loved the setting. I’m not always a big fan of friends to lovers but it was done in a way that I liked here.
Overall, I liked this one and would read more by Jayci Lee.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
3/5 Stars
I thought that this is very cute. I have found that Jayci Lee's books are great slump or palet cleanser books. They always pick me up a little and give me happy vibes. I always end up leaving getting exactly what I wanted.
Booked on a feeling is a cute, sweet romance in premise but I didn't quite become attached or invested in the characters. A quick, nice read, but not one that stuck with me.
Thank you Netgalley for the arc of Hooked on a Feeling.
This was rather cute, but i honestly felt like i was expecting more. It was a quick read, and i’s recommend it to anyone looking for that, but it just fell a bit short for me overall unfortunately!
Will pickup her other work in the future though !
Lizzy is an overachiever, type A. everything is on her list and everything needs its’ box checked off. She very much wants to make her parents proud and is kind of crushing herself under self imposed pressure. So of course she has a touch of a panic attack melt down and now needs to spend a mental wellness vacation in a place that holds a lot of happy memories for her. Which is where Jack lives.
On the surface this book is everything I eat up in a contemporary romance. All the ingredients are there. There’s friends to lovers, he falls first, humor, a good old small town. But for a number of reasons it all fell flat and made a mess of itself.
This was such a chore of a book to read. The two main characters are unlikable and hard to connect with. We’re led to believe they are childhood friends but don’t get much of their history or development. At times not really acting what I would call age appropriate. There are cultural references which date the book. These things might have been popular or significant to the reader but in three years from now, seven years- I doubt a younger audience will know what she’s talking about. Which I suppose is why she went into lengthy detail to describe a dance. Which no popular/successful book of our time does. So, yeah.
I would not recommend this book.

Booked on a Feeling is a sweet story that follows Lizzy and Jack as they go from best friends to exploring mutual attractions. My biggest takeaway was the realization that you should take risks to find your true passion in life. Following your heart and taking chances at love despite the unknown.
I enjoyed many aspects of this book, especially the independent bookstore restoration. I loved so many quotes that I, as a reader, deeply felt and connected with. I mean… a book about book lovers? Count me in!
“Despite her vow not to buy any more books—she could almost feel the accusing glare of her TBR stack back home—she predicted an overly enthusiastic book haul in her near future.”
Like… how many of us are in this constant battle? haha
There were some things that I just didn’t love or connected with. If the MMC was in love with her for so long and they are openly trying a romance out… why not profess his so long-lived infatuation. I could understand being hesitant at times, but I felt there was a miscommunication that could have prevented overthinking or making assumptions. In the end, the story overall just felt underwhelming. The major plot for me was just okay.
Overall, a breezy romcom that you will fly through and will appreciate nonetheless.
I could not get into Booked on a Feeling. The basis is so classic romcom city girl small town boy fall in love, and I love so many movies like that. Something about this book made that so boring for me. I would stare at the pages and reread paragraphs over and over again trying to make some sense of what I was reading but I just didn’t get it. The book never clicked in my brain and I didn’t want to waste any more of my time failing at reading Booked on a Feeling when I could read books that I actually enjoyed. Usually I love romance, I even paused reading this book and read a different romance book in one sitting. I wanted to love Booked on a Feeling and I’m not sure why, but I didn’t enjoy it at all.
