I really enjoyed following bunny through this book and going on all the adventures that he goes on. The illustrations are so unique and I think that makes this book even more special.

This is very cute--I love how vivid and detailed the illustrations are! That said, this will take a fair amount of explanation from an adult reading partner for kids to "get" the message as the concept of "making space" is a bit abstract for preschoolers. To be honest, if I hadn't read the blurb and author's notes, I'm not entirely sure I would have understood exactly what it was supposed to be about. Still, it might be helpful if one needs to start a conversation with a young child about boundaries and personal space.

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review.

This delightful board book documents an adorable little bunny as he creates boundaries and space for himself and from those around him as he goes through his day. It informs wee ones that it is good and important to own their personal space and have no invaders without their consent.

One thing that this nasty pandemic has taught us is the importance of social distancing and giving others space so everyone can remain healthy. "I Make Space" highlights how everyone needs a space of their own... even people that love us the most.

The illustrations are detailed, colourful and kid-friendly. The message is a positive life lesson that is best taught when kids are very young so it will follow them all through their life. I highly recommend this book.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Beautiful illustrations and easy to understand story that can be used to help a parent or teacher of young children explain that it is up to them to make space for things that they are comfortable with and not to make space for things they aren't comfortable doing such as giving hugs to adults that they don't know or don't want to give a hug to. I voluntarily reviewed an advance readers copy of this book.

This book is about making space and having boundaries. I liked the illustrations. I thought there could have been more about consent and boundaries but it is for a young audience.
