This was an interesting read that I feel would apply to a niche group. I have always been interested in the way the mafia works. I've seen all the Godfathers, and Goodfellas (RIP Ray Liotta), but we never really get to hear about the women in those situations. What happens to them? How much do they truly know? This book is about just that. It's their story.

The way this book is written is so beautifully done. And the story is not something I had ever heard before. I am so grateful to have been able to read it. Its not my favorite book but its a good one,.

An incredibly fascinating firsthand look into the lives of mob wives. Barbie Latza Nadeau has done such a fantastic job portraying these women and their stories, you really feel as if you're there talking with them. I truly enjoyed her writing style, it really made the book for me. The stories would be great on their own but it takes a special writer to be able to portray them in a way that is entertaining, informational and treats the subject fairly.

Thank you to NetGalley and PENGUIN GROUP Penguin Books for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Sad to say I couldn't get into this one. The writing style didn't pull me in, and I finally decided to set it aside. Giving a 3 star because I'm sure it is for someone, just not me.
