This was really enjoyable read. It was well written with a great romantic storyline and well developed characters. It was the right mix of romance and spice without being a cringey book - you know the type I mean. I couldn't put it down it was compelling, engaging and gripping the whole way through
This was a fun, sexy, romantic read but wouldn't sell well in our store due to demographic. I will be recommending to readers who I know will enjoy it.
SEAL's Surprise Daughter was the first book I have read by Katie Knight, but it won't be the last. Charlotte, Savannah and Gabe were a sweet insta-family. And although the storyline was fairly predictable, the depth of the characters, and smooth writing style kept me hooked. Having visited Harper's Ferry, WV several times. It was easy to imagine the story unfolding. I can't wait to read the rest for the SEAL's stories!
I really like the characters. The storyline was well developed and it kept me engaged the entire time. I think it would have been cool to discuss Gabe’s feelings and emotions more. I think he thinks in a very deep way which was not shown to its full potential.
Gave and Charlotte were such a cute couple. Their personalities worked well together. I loved the development of their relationship throughout the novel.
Overall I think this was a good book and may read it again.
Loved this book so much. Every character is wonderful and the story made me melt. Wonderful love story about two people finding themselves and each other.
Seal's Surprise Daughter, is a rather sad book. It starts out sad and continues throughout. There are a few sweet moments that made me smile and some sexy parts that were great. I loved Gabe and Charlotte's happy ending. Over all if you keep a Kleenex handy this is a great book.
Seal's surprise daughter by Katie Knight and Leslie North.
When Navy SEAL Gabe Kelley gets a call telling him a woman he spent a weekend with last year has been murdered, he’s shocked to discover that she left behind a baby… And he might be the father! Gabe can’t ignore that kind of responsibility, but as an unmarried SEAL, he’s in no position to care for an infant.Charlotte Rhodes has spent her adult life making her beloved Rhodes Tavern a success. Now her friend Alexis is dead, and baby Savannah needs a guardian. Charlotte remembers Gabe from high school, but the gruff SEAL who responds to her call is guarded, moody, and inconveniently handsome. Still, she sees the way he thaws whenever Savannah smiles. When Alexis’s ex—who Charlotte thinks was her killer—files a petition for custody, Charlotte and Gabe have to work together to keep Savannah safe. Falling in love was never part of the plan… Gabe will do whatever it takes to protect his new family. But with a murderer on the loose, will it be enough?
I really really enjoyed this book. Loved the story and characters. 5*.
I enjoyed this book, a tale of how two people have to work together to care for baby Savannah and catch her mothers murderer.. Gabe didn’t even know he had a daughter to protect, throw in Charlotte and he has a ready made family,. Sweet story but could do with being proof read as extra words/spelling mistakes are a distraction.
SEAL's Surprise Daughter has just about everything you could want in a book....action, drama, two great main characters, a cute baby, and some great chemistry between the leading couple. I don't read a whole lot of romances that also involve murder, so this was new for me, but I'm not going to lie, I was hooked on the whole SEAL and daddy thing. It definitely seems like an ideal combination.
Charlotte finds out her best friend has died and takes over caring for her six month old baby. She has to call Gabe, a friend from high school, to let him know about her friend's death and that he most likely is a father. Gabe is reluctant to return to his hometown but he takes to being Savannah's father pretty easily, with Charlotte's help. While Charlotte is helping Gabe get used to being a dad, they are also working to find her best friend's killer, who they think is her ex, who is now also making things difficult and unsafe for them.
This was my first book by the author and I was intrigued from the start. I read the book in one sitting as I was invested in the story and I really liked the characters. I think the book was overall well written however I think there some parts of the story that maybe needed to be developed a little more as some parts may have been confusing at times. The story alternates POV and I wished there were chapter headings to make it more clear as you had to almost start reading a few sentences before you could realize which character it was. Overall it was an interesting read and I would recommend it. I would definitely like to check out some more of the author's work in the future.
