I found much to admire and enjoy here, and although I ultimately didn't really enjoy the book, I think it was a case of 'it's not you, it's me'.

This was one I had put off for a while because of the pregnancy angle that’s a prevalent theme in the storyline. Nevertheless, I really wanted more from this read. I felt that the characters were generally annoying or drippy and the overall plot was a little too far fetched but at the same time slightly banal that I just ended up not really caring about anyone at the end. I enjoyed some of the themes that were addressed like the strain of older age pregnancy, the grief of losing a child, alternative medical treatments, anti-vaccine beliefs etc but it just didn’t gel well as a whole.

A fantastic psychological thriller with high stakes throughout. I was so tense reading this I think I forgot to breathe at times! Definitely will be checking out more of this author’s works.

A good read, full of suspense and secrets. I couldn't stop reading it. Interesting characters, especially as their layers were slowly peeled away.

Have to say, I’m disappointed by the ending. The book had enough drama throughout to keep me keen, and to read it as quickly as possible, but I felt like the conclusion was a bit of a let down. I was expecting something so much more dramatic and shocking and, whilst it was a teeny bit, it just wasn’t enough.

I couldn't stop reading and it was such an entertaining plot. Short chapters that were easy to read and multiple POV to keep us hooked

This book was absolutely incredible! It gripped me from the beginning and I was completely addicted! I did not predict the ending at all.
I would highly recommend this book if you love a psychological thriller!

This book really got under my skin, and I was so happy it did. A thriller for a new perspective I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.

This was a completely original and thrilling read. It was one that pulled lots of strands cleverly together and no-one could predict the ending. I loved the use of multiple perspectives. A totally gripping summer holiday read.

The plot grabbed me straight away . A yoga retreat ! The first half was really good. Unfortunately there was too much going on, bit unrealistic and the ending didn’t do much for me.

Great plot to get yourself lost in. This book has everything. A real fast paced thriller. Will get your heart racing on more than one occasion. Very well written. Highly recommend this book

An alternative weekend retreat for pregnant women, led by a certified instructor. What could go wrong?

I must say that the authoress has the talent to find fresh, modern and believable motives for her novels. In this novel she is spot-on, too - the pregnancy and the alternative views of the world are quite the hot topics and the women at the retreat definitely could behave like they did - and, more importantly, their "whys" are valid.
I very much enjoyed at least the 80% of the book. Unfortunately, towards the end the story is losing some of its steam and the actions of the characters are going over the top. Luckily, the last chapter brings some meat back (even if it portrays the humanity in the dark lights, but it also makes you think about what the people around you can hide).
Overall it was quite an enjoyable read. After reading my second novel from this authoress, I am adding Ms Duckworth to my "follow" list.

Secrets and pregnancy hormones, that is pretty much the gist of this book. 😂 I really enjoyed this one. I knocked it out in two days and it had me hooked from the start. It was an easy and fast-paced read. Great setting. Full of twists and turns and intriguing characters. Each one of them with secrets of their own. Did it push the boundaries of believability at times, yes. However, I was thoroughly entertained, so this one gets two thumbs up from yours truly.

I didn’t really know what to expect with this book, it’s about a pregnancy retreat but everyone has a secret. This book was gripping from the start as I wanted to know what was going on, and who was leaving the dead animals and nasty notes around the retreat. The ending was not what I expected, 4 twists and I couldn’t have guessed any of them. Very clever book

I did enjoy this but after the first third it felt somewhat predictable I felt all the characters were a little unstable and that made all the different point of views quite similar.

Overall it was a decent book

I really enjoyed this book, it kept me entertained and I read it in a couple of days, it’s certainly one to take with you to the beach this summer

Another strong book from Charlotte duckworth. I really like her style of writing, alternating chapters from didfer character's perspectives, building up to the twists. A fast easy read. Thank you netgallery for this advanced copy.
