I wanted to love this one based on previous reads by this author. Unfortunately, I just could not connect with the main character and actively disliked her. I just was not fully immersed because of this.

Overall, this was a quick and entertaining read, but sadly not my favorite.

My thanks to NetGalley and Minotaur Books for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I absolutely loved The Other Women by Sandie Jones so I was thrilled to be approved for her latest novel. Sadly, this was one of the most far fetched thrillers I’ve ever read. Nothing was believable for me. None of the twists were predictable because they were so unbelievable. It was entertaining, but not my favorite.

This was one crazy story! It seemed every page I turned there was more drama, another crazy circumstance, and an unrealistic situation. This one just wasn’t for me. I found the characters very one-dimensional and lacking and the plot was preposterous. While I appreciate the chance to review, it just wasn’t for me.

This book follows a therapist who literally doesn't care about her the future of her career and has no clue about boundaries....oh and who has zero chemistry with her husband. I called the entire twist from the very beginning bc I had a feeling this would be the direction of the plot.
I loved how fast paced and quick this book went, though I didnt love how once dimensional the characters were.

I love this author and this book did not disappoint. I started out not liking the main character Naomi but by the end I felt sorry for her. Naomi finds herself in a situation with no one to trust and no where to turn. Who can you believe if you cant even believe yourself.
The twist at end was shocking and i didnt see it coming

This was the first thriller I’ve read in a while, and I can honestly say that I couldn’t put it down. Jones’ controlled release of information kept me reeled in and telling myself “just one more chapter”. Naomi’s backstory was fascinating and I was so invested in figuring out what happened both in the past and the present. Her memories about her mother and sister were hands down my favorite moments.

Overall, however, I just couldn’t get into Naomi’s head. Every single choice she made seemed like the worst possible one. This made it all but impossible to relate to her. The efforts to ramp up the tension wound up alienating me from her as a character. I wanted everything to come together at the end, but the epilogue seemed rushed rather than wrapping it all up.

Woah! What a stellar story this one was!
Sandie Jones is the queen of thriller, twisted, crazy stories you can't help to be hooked!

From the opening few chapters I was absolutely hooked.
This is such an intriguing and suspenseful book, with full on plot twists that had my head spinning all the way to the very last page. Story pacing was superbly fast, I couldn't help myself but flipping pages after pages as I was so invested into it.

The author plotted this so beautifully and developed the characters with highly distinctive personalities, making me either love, hate or empathize with them – strongly! While reading this I found myself feeling tense with the suspenseful atmosphere and an overwhelming need to know what the heck was going to happen which led to me finishing in just over a day! I was so satisfied by the ending!

This book was gripping and thrilling! I didn't know which way was up or down. I enjoyed the twisty turns of trying to figure out how this was going to play out. It was a game I won't forget!

The Blame Game is a twisted and endlessly entertaining thriller from an excellent author.
I knew this was going to be an awesome read.... But I discovered while reading it.... Blew my dang mind! Spectacular Jones!

An intense drama about what is real and who is behind the seemingly odd situations involving Naomi and her patients. There were a few misdirections but overall the mind games were intriguing. Solid domestic suspense that all can enjoy.

A compelling domestic suspense novel!!

After really enjoying one of the author's previous novels "The First Mistake", I looked forward to getting my hands on this novel too. I'm happy to say that I thought it was a very entertaining read.

Filled with twists and turns, I had a hard time putting this book down once I started reading. I got lucky with a couple of my guesses, but still really enjoyed this story. It was a gripping read that held my interest from start to finish.

I'm hoping I don't have to wait long to read more from Sandie Jones!!

Wow! This book was a whirlwind. Naomi Chandler is a therapist specializing in domestic violence due to the tragic death of her mother at the hands of her father when she was a child. Naomi forges a relationship with a client named Jacob who turns out to be someone else entirely. Naomi also develops a close relationship with Anna, another client who has another motive for therapy all together. Naomi’s career puts deep strains on her marriage throughout this story that has Naomi questioning everyone around her, especially when her sister Jennifer returns from the past. Overall this was a fast paced read that had me questioning every character, even Naomi’s sanity at times and I enjoyed not knowing how the story would truly end.

I was gifted an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This psychological thriller was incredible. It had me biting my nails the entire time and the ending shocked me.
Naomi swore she would help others for the rest of her life after that faithful day when her dad killed her mom.. She is now running her own.pschology practice and she.follows her own rules. So what if she gets a bit too invested in her clients lives. She just wants to do the right things. One day the right thing turns on her when her client Jacob disappears and she becomes the prime. Suspect. Even her own husband has trouble believing her. She only has herself and she must clear her name
This novel reads so fast. I barely picked my head up. I flew threw the pages and couldn't wait for the conclusion. What an.incredible story.

The Blame Game is another entertaining read. That is, until the ending. What the heck! It was so farfetched and unbelievable. The book started off strong for me, but as I made my way through the story the author lost my attention.

This book was fantastic. Enthralling with every page and I felt myself sinking into her despair each time. When is a lie more than a lie and when will the truth set you free. And that epilogue--I think I read the last 25% of the book faster than the rest. So much happened that I wanted to know it all right away.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC

Sandie Jones has delivered a quick breezy thriller that keeps you guessing throughout. Naomi is a relationship psychologist who gets completely involved in her patients lives much to her husband’s dismay. Two new lying clients with twisted stories and fake names have sought her out and she can’t help herself but to jump right in. This jeopardizes her own marriage where they both start telling lies to each other as well as the police. Naomi has a secret in her past which she hasn’t even told her husband. Everyone becomes a suspect when one person dies and the police try to piece the story together. The ending was a little abrupt but all in all it held my attention throughout. #TheBlameGame #SandieJones #NetGalley

This book is so compelling and is filled with tension and suspense that keeps you guessing until the final reveal. I thought I knew what was going on and then something else would come to light that would have me guessing again. I kept internally yelling at the main character as she continually inched her way further into a web of lies that ultimately became her undoing. The book explores themes around trust and communication in marriage in an interesting way. Readers of psychological suspense will find this to be a satisfying one sitting or weekend read. I enjoyed it! Many thanks to Minotaur Books for the ARC via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. Look for this title from your favorite bookseller on August 16, 2022.

This story which focuses on a psychologist named Naomi had me confused, then angry, then confused and finally I reached that ah-ha moment at the epilogue. The epilogue made me happy that I had read the book, but it did take a while to get there. I thought that the book was brilliantly written with a plot that dragged at times but with such a lot of twists that it did keep me engaged. Naomi works with domestic abuse victims and is not having such an easy time with it since she personally invests herself in their lives and becomes more involved with her patients than she should. When Jacob comes to her and tells her his gut-wrenching story about his wife’s abuse, she can do nothing less than offer him a place to stay to escape Vanessa. This is where the plot got really strange because Jacob disappears and Naomi is accused of having something to do with his disappearance. With Naomi none too psychologically stable herself, the narration was unreliable and there were times when I did not know what to believe about what was happening. Leo. Naomi’s husband, resents her personal involvement with her patients and distances himself from her. There are new characters introduced, like Naomi’s sister whom she left behind in NYC after the death of their mother. The guilt of leaving Jennifer behind is a plot twist that plays into Naomi’s mental condition and thus adds more layers to the story. Without presenting any spoilers, I cannot go into more details about the plot and what happens to Naomi, but I will say that I did not particularly like any of the characters, except perhaps Detective Robson who was clever and intuitive, like a Sherlock Holmes who was following the clues to the inevitable end. Naomi was a hot mess, her husband Leo was a secondary character who was weak and disloyal and the other characters were not who they seemed to be. This book made me question what was really going on and if there was anyone in the book who was trustworthy. Good read and a definite domestic thriller with a lot of psychology thrown in just to keep it interesting!
