Other People's Secrets by Meredith Hambrock is a wonderful read.

It’s a story that kept me turning pages, anxious to find out what happened and what would happen. And the ending. Wow. I was left thinking about it for days after I’d finished the book.
This is an enthralling, utterly captivating and compulsively readable thriller with a refreshingly original premise.

OTHER PEOPLE’S SECRETS BY MEREDITH HAMBROCK. PUBLISHED BY CROOKED LANE

Baby has been living (squatting) and working at the decrepit lakeside Oakwood Hills Resort along with a couple of friends. She passes her days hanging out with her boyfriend in an alcohol induced haze, broken hearted over the death of her mother. Now she’s learned her boyfriend’s sister wants to buy Oakwood and gentrify the property, leaving the current residents out on the street. Baby’s only hope is vast fortune, rumored to lie at the bottom of the lake; unfortunately the local super bad drug lord is also after the treasure. I enjoyed this book because the heroine was far, far from squeaky clean. She was feisty, mouthy and ready to grab life (or the drug lord) by the tail
