A fun sweet read! Highly recommend.
Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for my ARC.
This was a great sports romance even though her clothes annoyed me constantly. I'll definitely read more of London in the future.
4.5 Stars
I love the way Ms London can have you laughing one moment and then so affected by her characters emotionally the next moment and I loved every moment of this book. The characters, the couple’s chemistry and the plot are so engrossing and had me reading this story from start to finish in one sitting just like all of this author’s books have done in the past.
The heroine is fun and feisty and definitely knows how to handle the loveable and reliable hero that always gives her his time when it seems not many others do.
Overall, Ms London has delivered another wonderful and fast read in this second book of her Kissing Creek series that I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish.
I love me a baseball romance, and I quite enjoyed this book. It was entertaining, lighthearted, and fun. The chemistry between the main characters was really good, and it was wonderful small town romance.
My first Stefanie London read and not my last. Contrary to some reviews, I really enjoyed this! I love small town based novels and the cheesiness of it all. Definitely a cute, fun, light read!
This book wasn't for me. Sloane made me cringe. She was always wearing dinosaur clothes and I just couldn't get into it. It felt more childish and cheesy rather then endearing or edgy. Ryan was not very interesting. I just couldn't believe these two would like each other.
This book really hit the mark for me. Ryan Bower, a tall, dark and devilishly handsome MLB pitcher returns home to Kissing Creek while he heals from an injury while his team the Toronto Blizzards make a run for the World Series. He never imagined what would be keeping him up at night wasn’t worrying if his contract would get extended, his injury would heal or if his team would go all the way … no it is the sounds from his parents bedroom. After several days he discovers their sudden interest in “physical activity” is thanks to a book his mother has been reading as part of her book club. Not wanting to confront his parents he decides the next best thing is to let the librarian who runs the book club know what he thinks of her steamy pick. Only he hadn’t expected it would be Sloane Rickman, despite her petite frame she did not seem at all intimidated by him, in fact she challenged him right back. The last thing he expected was her challenging him to read the book himself, unless of course he was too much of a prude.
The banter between Ryan and Sloane, the undeniable tension right from the get go laced with sarcasm was hysterical and made for a very entertaining read. This is a great story about misconceptions and stereotypes. Sloane things Ryan is full of himself with a too big ego who puts his career above all else leaving no room for what matters most to her – family and establishing roots. Ryan on the other hand has been chasing one goal for his entire life and nothing is going to stand in his way now that he is so close he can feel it – but maybe he has been too zeroed in on the goal and taken his family for granted. His injury has forced him to face the question he has been dreading – What will his life after baseball look like?
As Ryan and Sloane get to know more about each other it is obvious to see they are perfect for each other but in an ironic twist of faith their lives couldn’t be more less compatible.
I really struggled to see how Stephanie London would tie this story up in a pretty bow at the end without either Sloane or Ryan having to give up their dream and compromise what mattered most to them but I think she did it beautifully. I loved Sloane’s unapologetically quirky personality and who wouldn’t love being a librarian and running a small town book club. Being from the Toronto area I loved the references to our city and thanks to my husband and kids I am well versed in baseball which made Ryan being an MLB pitcher that much more fun. I cannot wait to read the other book in the Kissing Creek series.
This was such a cute, light read. I didnt know that this was a second book and thought that this was a standalone. This story is about a small town librarian and a MLB star coming home to recover from a sports injury. Then the story begins from there.

My rating is between a 3 to 3.5 ⭐️
A cute, light, and sweet read about the quirky small-town new librarian and the golden boy baseball player.
It wasn't an insta-love story as their romance was a slow build-up.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book received from the publisher via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This one was a lovely read. I really enjoyed reading this one. I just love this kind of books.
4 stars read for me
Love love love!!! I love a slow burn romance and this one was sizzling! The MCs made me think of actual people in my life and I couldn’t stop picturing them. I bought the hard copy of this book!
I really wanted to like the Kissing Games, and it wasn't bad by any means, I just didn't feel like I connected so well with the characters. I didn't completely buy into the romance between Sloane and Ryan. I unfortunately began to lose interest in the book, but it was cute and easy to read!
This was such a cute, sweet read - with a good amount of spice! I loved reading about Sloane and Ryan and their journey to compromise, getting over previously held beliefs, and finding out if they can get past the life they envisioned for one that might be better.
Main character Sloane moved to Kissing Creek to set down roots - buy a house, make friends, maybe start a family. Meanwhile, hot-shot hometown hero Ryan is nursing his wounds from an injury as a professional baseball player. Sloane is set on staying in Kissing Creek, and Ryan is set on returning to Toronto at the end of the season to get ready for the next.
But the two start developing feelings for each other, even though they know what's in store in the end. So cute!! Would definitely recommend it - I devoured this!

I really wanted to enjoy this title, it sounded fun and I love small town stories as well as sports romances.
I liked the characters, I liked the setting, I liked the story...but I never really believed in the attraction between Ryan and Sloane. And, that's an issue. No matter how much you like the rest of a book, if you don't feel a connection with the characters, or really feel invested in their story, it's hard to say you enjoyed the book.
I am not able to recommend this title.
Who DOESN'T love a romance between a sportsball player and a librarian? The chemistry between Sloane and Ryan was off the charts, and their banter was both hilarious and made me swoon. This is such a fun, lighthearted romance, perfect for when you need a pick-me-up without a lot of heavy drama. Also I would like to join a library book club, please.
This book reminded me a lot of Fix Her Up by Tessa Bailey. I did like how the town main characters came from totally different worlds and got together. I just did not like this one has much as I wanted to. I felt like there are just better romance novels out there. I was super excited to read this. But this one just fell flat to me.
Thank you Netgalley for this ARC for an exchange for an honest review.
A great book to read. I enjoyed it.
When I first started reading it, this book seemed so bizarre, that I did not think I was going to enjoy it. However, once I gave in to the campiness I really started to love it. It has so many great tropes, including small town, sports romance, plus the addition of quirky side characters and their steamy book club. The romance between Sloane and Ryan is so swoon worthy and gives hope to dinosaur loving librarians everywhere. Be prepared to laugh at this one!
This man is SO FUCKING HOT. Seriously, where do I find one?! I really loved this book and this couple - Sloane talking about how she feels like she doesn't fit in really hit home (honestly she read as autistic to me?), especially when she spoke about her 'friends'. The ending was a liiiittle bit cheesier than I prefer (and y'all know I love cheese), but the rest of the book was so good I'll let it pass. Honestly I just really love small town romances and this series is up there for me, it's so cute and loveable and just feels so warm.
But I'm taking off points because she wore galaxy leggings. Girl, please.
It was set in a small town with an awesome and entertaining group of supporting characters. There is something about small-town romances that make me feel warm and fuzzy when reading. It makes me happy when the leads are surrounded by kind, loving, and funny people.
Sloane's moved from place to place all over the world thanks to her parents but thinks she's finally found a place she can settle down and call home. She has a great job as a librarian, she's bought a cute house, and the people here have welcomed her, even if she doesn't have any close friends yet. Then a gorgeous guy waltzes into her library and there's chemistry right away between them. At first, it's the antagonistic kind, but as they start to work together on a town project, she can't help but fall for Ryan, even knowing he won't be around for much longer. She will just have to accept he's leaving soon and have her fun while it lasts. A fling is just what she needs...
The way Sloane and Ryan met was hilarious, and I love that Sloane did not back down when he grumped at her for his discomfort thanks to her book club suggestion that had his parents re-enacting all the scenes. Their chemistry was obvious from their first page, there was lots of witty snark, and I loved how adorably quirky and sweet Sloane was. Ryan was perfect for her, and I was cheering them on as they fell so hard for each other.
