Once I started it reading it, I couldn't put it down. The characters in this book so relatable. The chemistry between the MCs was amazing. The book is really about people trying to find their place in the world, not just together but also separately. The love story was amazing as well and has just enough spice for a romance book.
A cute rom-com I finished in one weekend and enjoyed reading it.
It is the second book of the kissing creek series but nevertheless a stand-alone. As always I like the different kind of characters, which the author invents so individually that each new book has a focus on a new "difficult personal background" which the protagonists have to overcome to find their hea.
In this book Sloane and Ryan go from a cold start over a lot of (amusing) banter to their final happy end. It was a nice and easy read.
Stefanie London takes readers back to the charming small town of Kissing Creek with Sloane and Ryan's story.
Ryan is an injured pro baseball player who has returned to his hometown for a visit. Sloane is a librarian and newish in town so the two of them haven't met before. I was cracking up from the very beginning. Ryan is bothered by his parents' 'activities' and learns Sloane is the one who recommended the romance book his mom is reading at the library book club. There were so many great moments that literally made me laugh out loud, but the story also had a great emotional arc too.
Ryan and Sloane had instant chemistry and their banter was entertaining. I thought they were both interesting and relatable characters who were well matched. I loved that they connected in so many ways and helped the other see things in a new way.
This is one of my favorite books this year, and I hope there is more to come from this series.
Thank you netgalley and publisher for the ARC, in exchange for am honest review.
Stephanie London's books are always fun, flirty and romantic.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one. The story had its own quirky charm to it with so many humorous and romantic moments of it own.
The MC's chemistry was amazing and felt genuine.
He's frumpy, she's the dinosaur loving librarian.
This is a fun, flirty and fast paced read.
Ryan, the hottie pitching star who is having a bad year, made worse by hearing his parents getting it on, thanks to a spicy book.
Sloane is the hottie librarian who keeps him on his toes, as soon as they met. He's the athlete, she's the glasses wearing librarian.
There's fun and games to be had in Kissing Creek.
Recommend.
Well, how much do we love Ryan? A Lot!!!!! Ryan first meets Sloane when he goes to complain to the librarian (who has chosen a smutty book for book club) that she has caused his parents to be making a bit too much noise at night. From that first impression, Sloane gets her first legitimate friend in Ryan, and then they become more to each other. I really like Ryan's grumbly personality and his ability to grow and understand himself as others are sharing a few truths with him. Sloane is an intense person who needs to learn how to open up. The journey these two travel towards each other is filled with a lot of humor, crazy family shenanigans, and a spitting llama. This was a fun, happy read with a well earned HEA.
Also - can someone tell me what happened in chapter 21, I really would like to know.
Received as an ARC from Netgalley, Thank you to Entangled.
Loved this one! I need more Stefanie London books in my life. I loved the witty dialogue, the fun storyline and the hero and heroine! Sloane and Ryan were a great match. This book was well written with a storyline that kept me reading from the first page until the last. Huge thank you to Netgalley and Entangled Publishing for allowing me to read and review this book.
Enemies to reluctant partners to friends to lovers may be my new favorite trope!
Ryan come home to Kissing Creek to recover from an injury as his team goes on to have their best season ever. On top of that, he can't get any sleep because he hears his parents being ~inspired~ by the latest book club book.
When he runs into the librarian hosting book club, sparks fly before he puts his foot in his mouth. Now she's convinced he's a rude prude and he'll read "Stormy Pleasures" to prove her wrong.
Their banter is so good! I was highlighting every line and laughing out loud! Their chemistry is immediate and seeing them fight it is so entertaining! And obviously when they come together, after all the promises, the teases, and the pining, oh the spice!
I loved the ending and how their relationship progressed, and they developed as individuals. I think it's so important for books to show not only a relationship developing, but the characters growing as individuals as well. The best relationships make you better and you see that with Sloane and Ryan.

Looking for a “lighter”, small-town, fun, non-angst romance? Grab Kissing Games!
Ryan and Sloane were an enjoyable pairing by author Stefanie London. There was good humor, fun storyline, great characters, baseball and a guy who reads! LOL
This is the second book in the Kissing Creek series by the author, but can easily be read as a stand-alone! I would definitely recommend this one!
Thank you to Entangled and NetGalley for the ARC of this book. I liked Sloane being very much her own person who likes kitschy things, like dinosaur dresses, and has no problem putting herself out there in a new town. The two characters are driven people who know what they want in life but not in love, which is expected in a romance novel. This was also good as a part of a series where it did not matter that I had not read the previous installment. I was surprised the author did not have Ryan win the World Series in the end but hey it did not make a change into how the end played out. A sweet distraction novel for those who love a happy ending.
My first touch with any of Stephanie London's books. The narrative folllows Ryan Bower, a Major league baseball player who is spending some time at home, since He was injured and can't come back to the field until fully recovered, but he also has to deal with a probable retirement that He doesn't want to think about, and hearing his parents having a love life pretty Active, so to speak isn't helping as well. And realizing that this fact comes from a book club discussion and suggestion from the new librarian of the town makes He decide to figured it out who this woman is and Why She has this influence into his parents. That's When He mets Sloane Rickman, a young beautiful and smart and intriguing lady who's trying to find her place in the world, in order to get over with past family issues. Sloane and Ryan start a like quick enemies interaction that might prove later be wrong from both sides, and they will realized that they might be judging a book by it's cover.
What a delightful surprise this book was! Romance with sports and some reflective thoughts about life, and future all combined into a humored and sexy love story as background fits so well, and matchs right into the core. The premise of a librarian who starts a book club with a hot romance in discussion about was hillarious and so funny! Sloane and Ryan make a great couple and their journey to deal with life dilemmas and how to find what's really worth it was a beautiful ride to follow. Well done to the author for this incredible and well balanced narrative, so compelling funny and full of love.
I loved book one in this charming and funny series, and I swear, I thought book two was even better. The story here is cute and delivers some delightful feels. I liked Sloane and Ryan. Their chemistry was obvious, and I loved each and every spark they generated. If you are looking for a romance that will brighten your day, have a smile on your face and have you basking in the emotions, this book is just what you need.
The town's golden boy is back after suffering an injury and is shocked to find out that their parents still get it on. Pissed of having to hear them every night, he goes to confront the town's librarian and the person responsible for suggesting a steamy romance for their book club. Sloane is nothing like the librarian he had in mind, in fact - she is young, cute, and has a funny and strong personality. Their verbal exchange is what makes the story so funny! At first, Ryan comes out as a prude all the while Sloane is open with her sexuality, but as the book progresses we are shown that Ryan is not a prude at all.
The dynamic between both characters is sweet! They go from enemies to friends to lovers. Eventually, we are shown that Sloane is ready to settle down and get some roots down (something she lacked as a child due to her mother's work). Ryan is also ready to settle down and with his injury, he notices that he is getting older and wiser - Sloane and Ryan make a cute and quirky couple.
I LOVE sports romances and this DID NOT disappoint. Since baseball season is around the corner (thank god) I was so glad to open this one up for reading. I finished it within three (3) hours!!!! I loved Sloane and Ryan's chemistry and their banter back and forth had me cackling. I wish there was more but other than the feeling like I missed out on somethings, I throughly enjoyed it!
This was a fun time!
I absolutely loved Kissing Lessons so I was stoked that we were getting another book in this world.
This time around it’s grumpy/sunshine with plenty of wacky shenanigans and witty/sexy banter. The romance developed nicely and each character was interesting on their own.
This has London’s classic romcom humor and heartwarming romance.
I would recommend this if you’re in the mood for romcom, small town romance between a grumpy hero and sunshine heroine.
Thank you for Netgalley and Entangled: Amara, and author for the advanced review copy of this book. My review contains my own thoughts and opinions.
Kissing Games was such a cute, enjoyable small town romance! Ryan Bower, star MLB pitcher, is home at his parents’ in Kissing Creek recuperating from ACL repair surgery. He meets Sloane Rickman, librarian, when he pops in to find a book - and to complain about the risqué book club book that ended up injuring his dad while his parents, um, experimented 😂.
Sloane is newer to town and friendly, but has struggled to find her place and her people. While together on a Halloween float for the local parade, sparks start to fly.
I’ve said this before - I LOVE dual POV romances, and this one was executed spectacularly! Sloane was so relatable to me, as a recent small town transplant who also finds talking with her people slightly intimidating. I loved how Sloane and Ryan represented the things that the other said they never wanted in life - a partner with a job that took them far away and frequently, and a partner that was determined to put down roots. Their journey was wonderful to read!
I recommend this one to fans of small town romances, sports romances, and books by Samantha Chase, Melanie Shawn, and Adriana Locke.
Very enjoyable read.
While I admit it started off a little slow, it picked up in no time. The banter between Ryan & Sloane was great and will have you laughing out loud.
Definitely enjoyed this return to Kissing Creek.
”It was a beautiful thing – knowing it wasn’t a place that made you feel stable and secure, but the love of the right people.”

Genre: Romance, General Fiction (Adult)
Themes: Friends to Lovers
Summary: To the rest of Kissing Creek, Sloane is a walking sunshine, with upbeat spirit, and a lot of love to give, but underneath all that smiles, and friendly greetings, she feels nothing but lonely, and has a strong sense to belong somewhere. She has finally found the perfect place to reside, but something is missing. That is until she meets our male lead. Due to an injury, MLB pitcher, Ryan Bower, visits his small hometown where he unexpectedly runs into a feisty librarian who loves dinosaurs almost as much as she loves books. To him, nothing came before Baseball. Not even love. So, what is he supposed to do with Sloane? They weren’t supposed to be anything. They couldn’t be anything…
Hot baseball player, cute as heck librarian, and an annoying llama that runs through the town…how could this not turn out to be a 5 star read?
Sloane
Our witty, dinosaur wearing, and always ready to help main character. Listen, this girl deserves nothing bad to ever happen to her, okay. And to anyone who makes her cry: I will fight you.
She is literally the sweetest sweetheart, and so caring, and the banter she has with Ryan is absolute chefs kiss. How could I not love her any more than I do?
I want to be her when I grow up, please and thank you.
Ryan Bower
Handsome, driven, ambitious, hilarious, Ryan Bower. MLB pitcher, Ryan Bower. The chemistry between this guy, and Sloane…
10/10 character!
What more can I say besides that I love this book, and it is perfect, and you should read it like right now.
Thank you Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this ARC in return for a review.

Hero is a baseball player.
It was an okay reading for me. There was a few times I got bored with this book. But, I liked the tension between hero and heroine. I also liked the ending of this book. In addition, there were some funny scenes, such Lily the Llama. All in all, it was a good book.
Thank you to the Netgalley and the publisher for ARC version of this book.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for sending me this book in exchange of my honest opinion. This story follows an athlete who just got injured and is staying at his parent’s to take a break. Ryan’s character was absolutely great, he is the man you want to have in your life. Guys, HE READS THE BOOKS YOU RECOMMEND. We also had the pov of Sloane, a librarian who reads steamy romances.
This book started really great, and it couldn’t put it down, until half the book.
The relation between the two main characters were really great but it wasn’t really for me. I thought this would be a cute enemies-to-lovers, and it started like this, but in the middle of the book, it became a sort of insta-love. Which is not what I usually read.
Other than that, if you do, I highly recommend this book, because it was very cute, with lovable characters.
