This was a fun mix of a small-town romance along with just a bit of a sports romance. I enjoyed the fun look at a small town where everyone seems to be reading the hot-and-heavy romance novel that the librarian has chosen for the book club.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

I was so glad to have the opportunity to read this one. Stefanie London was one of the first romance authors I started reading when I first started reading romance a couple of years ago, so this felt very full circle for me. This is the 2nd book that takes place in the Kissing Creek Series, but it is a complete standalone. Ryan Bower is a Major League Pitcher who, after an injury, returns to his hometown to hide out while he recovers and his team heads to the World Series without him.  Despite his grumpiness, Ryan is one of my favorite types of hero- one who will do anything for those he cares about. Sloane Rickman is a librarian in Kissing Creek who is happy to finally be putting down roots  after moving around constantly during her childhood. I also loved that she had a quirky personality and sense of style that I could totally relate to.I loved that Kissing Games was an enemies to friends to lovers story.  Ryan and Sloane get off on the wrong foot from the start after he finds out that she was the one who selected the romance book club pick his parents have been reading... and recreating. This just makes Sloane think he is a stuck up jerk. After his Dad hurts himself during these extracurricular activities, Ryan takes his place on the town's Halloween parade planning committee, which Sloane is heading up.  Despite their earlier misunderstandings about each other, they work together on the parade and realize how wrong they were about each other, and how right they actually are for one another.  Sloane and Ryan had some great tension going on throughout this book so it was so so satisfying when they finally got together, there were some serious sparks. I also can't forget Kissing Creek's resident menace, Lily the Llama, making another humorous appearance.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Another winner from Stefanie London. I adored the first book in this duology and the second didn't disappoint. Humour, banter, chemistry... this couple has it all and I loved experiencing their journey to happy ever after. This author is an auto-buy for me.

My heart just broke for Sloane. She just wanted to be someone's priority, rather than being the one everyone forgot about or found it easy to cancel on.

Ryan is used to being in the public eye and now that he's been sidelined, he's not quite sure where he fits in anymore. But living in his parent's house and listening to them "reaffirm their love" - that's not what he was planning on LOL.

Sloane may think she suks when it comes to making friends but her bookclub is sure making her popular in town- if maybe not for the reasons that she hoped for.

Ryan, oh that man could be his own worst enemy sometimes. I really wanted to slap him when he just let his coach give up so easily.

I missed out book 1 in the series but I have added it into my mammoth TBR list. A strong story, with empathetic characters and blazing chemistry between MCs. Complete home runner of a great book!

Hurray! A new Kissing Creek book!

I have been waiting on this one to come out and Stefanie did not disappoint. This was a nice relaxing weekend read that was hard to put down.
I simply adored Sloane's quirky and sassy character, and to pair that with fuddy-duddy Ryan and his single-minded focus it made some awesome chemistry. I feel that both characters had a lot of depth and both cared so deeply it added a lot to the story. I love the small town of Kissing Creek and how everyone knows everyone. Add in a steamy book club both with an interesting Chapter 21 and it made this book that much more hilarious. The insights from both families and including in past hurts and experiences made this a well-rounded love story that I highly recommend.

I received an ARC from the publisher and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed this story. The dialogue and banter were really amusing and had me laughing out loud at some points. The story was really well written and kept me fully engrossed. The pace was great and all the characters were wonderfully written. A joy to read and I will definitely be on the lookout for more by this author. Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for allowing me to read an advance copy of this book.

Chemistry or bust!

Wow, what a fantastic read. Let’s start by saying these two had me laughing out load and waiting for the next open mouth insert foot moment. The chemistry is palpable and fun to imagine. The author writing is flawless, and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shockingly intimate I have become a huge fan of this author. The author writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

Authors Blurb; Injured pro baseball player Ryan Bower has plenty of reasons for not sleeping. But thanks to a steamy romance novel that’s ignited the imaginations and libidos of pretty much everyone in Kissing Creek, Ryan’s kept awake by the sound of his parents. Having sex. Unforgivably gross. And Ryan is almost certain that the town’s adorably quirky and troublemaking librarian is responsible.

Sloane Rickman adores everything about her little town with the exception of its very tall and infuriatingly sexy Golden Boy. Ryan Bower may be a ball-playing hottie, but where exactly does he get off telling her what books to recommend to her oddball little book club? Good thing he’s only in town for the fall.

Now Sloane and Ryan are stuck planning the main float for the town’s parade. But somewhere between arguments over paint colors and papier mâché flowers, their fights keep turning into red-hot kisses. And between Ryan's demanding ball career and Sloane's life in Kissing Creek, they face the biggest game of their lives…if they’re ready to play for keeps.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. This story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕

I loved this story and this town! Ryan is back to nurse his leg back into shape and hide out while his team plays without him. Sloane moved to town 3 years ago to find her place. Awesome meet cute! The book club was hilarious and the chemistry was amazing too.

I know we talk about #bookboyfriends all the time, but how about we give some love to those female MC’s who steal a piece of our heart?

There’s so much I loved about Sloane:

🦖 Wears Dino Dresses
📚 Works at a library
💕 Appreciates romance/erotica books
💁🏻 Snarky and witty with the best comebacks
🎃 Thinks Halloween is the best holiday

Slow he has moved around all her life and has yearned for a permanent place to call her own. Even after 3 years in Kissing Creek, she has no true friends, even though the towns people adore her. Ryan has come back home to recover from an ACL injury that could end his MLB career. The two start off as unlikely-abs unwilling-friends, but the chemistry is undeniable. How long can Ryan last in the friend zone before they both give in to temptation?

I LOVED the banter between Ryan and Sloane! It starts off with a steamy book club pick and just gets better. They each have personal demons to overcome.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy.

That you Net Galley for the opportunity to read this book. Ryan, who is a professional baseball player and Sloane, a librarian have all the chemistry. A baseball player who gets involved in a Book club that just so happens to have a steamy romance novel as the latest pick! Sign me up. This was a really good book that was read in 2 days

I love books that include librarians! And this one also includes one other favorite thing – athletes! Not to mention, steamy romance but that’s included with the librarian 😉

Ryan cannot believe his parent are recreating a steamy scene from an even steamier romance novel. He’s determined to mention this to the librarian that started the book club. All he wanted was peace when he came home to recover from his injuries not his parents doing it at night. And doing it loudly.

But when he meets Sloane she’s just not what he was expecting. For one, she’s not old. Secondly, she loves dinosaurs in all shapes and forms. When his dad injures himself, he steps in his place. That also means a book club. He’s also determined to read the month’s book – you know, the steamy romance novel.

These two were so cute together! I related to Sloane a lot and I could understand where she is coming from. I also love the ending that includes what they would both want in a relationship so it’s not that one has to give in and follow the other’s path. It’s a lovely mix of both.

4.5 stars.

Adorably sassy! Stefanie London continues to bring a smile to her reader's face with laugh out loud clarity in the second book in her Kissing Creek series. In KISSING GAMES, the town golden boy returns home to heal from an injury and butts heads with the quirky librarian that everyone loves. Fast paced fun, sexy connections and so many heartfelt emotions wrap themselves around your heart!

Ryan is tenacious and spunky and watching him fall head over heals for the one he professes not to like is really fun.

Sloane is sweet and sensitive and just feisty enough to make this read funny as well as heartfelt.

I recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys a small town setting with close knit community as love swirls in the air.

Kissing Games (Kissing Creek #2) is a small town, pro-athlete romance. Ryan, a MLB player in Toronto, has come home to nurse his knee injury. Having spent the better of his life with his eye on the prize, he begins to see ALL he's missed with family and friends in the small town of his youth.

Squeak, squeak, squeak and shouts of chapter twenty-one land him in the local library staring at Sloane, the local librarian and dinosaur loving fashionista. She is here to make Kissing Creek her home, after years of traveling the world with her parents.

Kissing Games is a light hearted, entertaining romance. Ryan and Sloane deliver some witty banter and "stormy pleasures." These two have irresistible chemistry.

Thank you Entangled Publishing for the complimentary copy.

QOTD: Are you in a book club?
A: Nope! I'm a mood reader and DNF way too often to join one. 😅🤣
.
Kissing Games is book #2 in Stefanie London's Kissing Creek series and if you liked book one, you'll LOVE book two.
.
Sloane (which is my FAVORITE girl name and future kid name btw 🤣) is so freaking loveable. Sloane is 100% Ms. Frizzle vibes in all the best ways. I love dinosaurs, too, and I would kill for a coffee date just to listen to her spout facts. Her unique personality and true to self confidence makes her one of my top FMCs! 😍
.
The topic of loneliness is a big theme throughout with both Sloane and Ryan battling it in different ways. At 26, out of college and married, I am definitely feeling the loneliness that can come with adulthood.
It feels impossible to make friends as an adult sometimes. I also could relate to Ryan's fear of giving up the thing he sacrificed so much for, the worry that there would be nothing left.
.
This book made me cry, laugh and swoon and I highly recommend this series. I know I'll be buying a physical copy to join book 1 on my shelves!! ❤️

BLURB:
He’s a star MLB pitcher home in the small town of Kissing Creek to nurse a torn ACL. She’s a feisty librarian new to town and ready to shake things up, starting with a steamy romance book club. They’ve got nothing in common but everything to lose…

"It was everyday magic."

'Kissing Games' is a sweet and fast-paced romantic comedy novel with a fun premise and a charming setting that even shows other characters of the 'Kissing Creek' series, a fun callback for readers of the previous book! Author Stefanie London uses a dual point of view to explore the contrasting future outlooks of the main characters and to show how life is simply nothing without belonging.

This book was a pleasant and easy read with a quirky heroine that stands her ground and a loveable yet brooding male main character. It's not often I see a female main character that determines to look out for herself and her future like Sloane Rickman does, and her loneliness within Kissing Creek highlights the struggles of relationships during adulthood. Though Ryan Bower is not as appealing as Sloane, he rivals her in romantic gestures and visualises this indecisiveness in life that is extremely human. The book does lack a certain ambiguity that prevents the reader from completely immersing themselves in the story, and feels rushed at some parts, in particular the ending, with its sporadic time jumps.

Overall 'Kissing Games' is a somewhat entertaining read.

This little cute town makes my heart very happy. Sloane and Ryan were adorable and their banter made me smile and laugh so much. I really enjoyed the first kissing creek book but Kissing Games may be better. You could tell London's writing really improved and was so easy to read. Friends to lovers is coming my favorite trope and London did so well.

Once I knew you, I never wanted to know anyone else...

Kissing Games is an irresistible small town story. Babelicious Ryan Bower returns to his hometown of Kissing Creek to recuperate from an injury he received while in the MLB. All he is focused on is healing ASAP so he can return to his love of the game. When he goes to the Town's Library to check out a book that his parents have been singing praises about, he meets Sloane, an out of the ordinary librarian who appears to be obsessed with Dinosaurs judging by her wardrobe. Everything turns on it's axis as a llama named Lucy (Yahoo, Lucy has returned) makes her way into the library to cause her usual havoc. Ryan has to blink twice to make sure he has not entered an alternate universe.

Ryan and Sloane had me cackle laughing out loud with their amusing and saucy exchanges with each other. But as they get to know each other, at the root of their friendship they both come to realize how they truly feel about each other and what is key to their happiness. The choices one is willing to make for each other when it comes right down to it. They each have set goals for their future and they are totally opposite in this regard.

As always Stefanie London waves her magic wand and delivers an incredible, enjoyable and heartfelt story sprinkled with her signature humor.

The premise sounded so cute for this one and it was even better than I was expecting!

"ᴀɴᴅ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ᴀ ᴡᴇᴀᴋɴᴇꜱꜱ ꜰᴏʀ ᴅɪɴᴏ ɴᴇʀᴅꜱ ᴡɪᴛʜ ᴅɪʀᴛʏ ʀᴇᴀᴅɪɴɢ ʜᴀʙɪᴛꜱ?"

Grumpy baseball pitcher Ryan meets sunshine librarian Sloane when he moves home to nurse an injury and discovers his parents are enjoying the new book club read a little too much. Their first meeting consists of Ryan accusing Sloane of corrupting his quiet hometown and Sloane calling Ryan boring in bed. I was hooked.

I really loved Stefanie's way of writing. The dual pov's, the blatant wanting on both sides, two strong MCs who both stick to their guns and won't give up their dreams for love, AN EPILOGUE. I loved the pacing of the story and the growth we get to see for Ryan and Sloane as they work through their issues with love and commitments. I felt a kinship with Sloane, who's spent her whole life trying to find a place to truly belong, to feel like she's a part of something where she's wanted as much as she wants to be there. I like that Sloane holds her own against Ryan, she's not a wallflower or a pushover. She'll push his buttons right back, call him on his bs, and tell him exactly what she wants and needs in the bedroom.

I would have loved to see more of their relationship grow, but I also swooned at the epilogue. It was also another romance with a super tiny female MC while the male MC was broody and handsome, but it didn't detract from the story.

Stefanie London knows how to grab the reader’s attention from the first page and keep them hooked. The story is super hilarious and Lily the llama is back. The characters are magnificent and the plot is very well done. Ryan is an injured baseball player who is home in his small town of Kissing Creek to recuperate. Sloane is a pint sized librarian who is fascinated with all things dinosaur. Each conversation between these two is filled with wit and humor. Despite themselves they can’t help falling in love as you will with this wonderful story.
