This was a fun light-hearted read. The plot was predictable but heading into the summer on the beach you just want something light and this is the perfect holiday read.

There was nothing spectacular about the characters. The blurb gives an accurate summary. Two people who dislike each other because of a misunderstanding who find themselves drawn together.

I received an arc of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

If you were asked to babysit a dog for three weeks for $15,000, you'd jump at the chance thinking easy money.

Beth was staying at Rocco Romano's guesthouse while he's in the main house reading through scripts to decide his next project.

Rocco Romano, voted sexiest man alive, is adored by nearly every single woman in the world, with his Hollywood bad boy persona.

Beth is NOT interested in him in the slightest after he caused her to lose her job as a chef a few years before.

Houdini the dog is just that... Houdini. In the blink of an eye he can escape, he likes to chew paper up to mulch, just generally being a dog wanting attention.

This book is not my normal read, but I found I was laughing out loud through this. The banter between Beth and Rocco, which includes no flirting whatsoever after Beth signing disclosure stating this as one of the points. Of course there is a happy ending, but the journey to that point is hilarious!

Thank you Netgalley for the chance to read this.

A sweet romcom! There were some funny parts, and a bunch of cute moments! No spice fluffy romance, great for readers who enjoy that in their romance books.

Thank you Netgalley and the author for the chance to read this book. P.s. this book is now available on KU

Men or Paws ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Rocco is an actor and hooman to Houdini, his escape artist golden retriever. He needs to get some work done deciding on his next script but can’t focus on that while he’s taking care of Houdini. So he hires Beth to dog sit for three weeks (for $15,000) and makes her sign not only an NDA but also a contract that says she won’t kiss him. She comes back with an addendum that he can’t kiss her either!

This starts with some unresolved anger from Beth due to an incident in their past but once they move on from that, there is definite chemistry between Rocco and Beth. It was fun to watch them try to trick one another into kissing first and there was good banter back and forth, but it was very insta-lovey as they went from meeting to making major life decisions together in under three weeks. I know that insta-love isn’t really my jam, but if you enjoy it then I think you’ll enjoy this one. It was quick and funny and had an adorable dog plus Grease and Pretty Woman references. 😃🐾 I still don’t think I understand what the title means but I can be dense sometimes (I thought it was going to be a play on menopause but it wasn’t?). If you’ve read it and understand, fill me in! 😂

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for this copy in exchange for a review. This book is available now on Kindle Unlimited!

Men or Paws by Rich Amooi is an incredibly fun read! With dogs! :D

I had never heard of this author before, but I got a copy of this book on NetGalley (Thank you so much!). I am so glad I tried it out!

What I liked:
- It's funny. A lot.
- There's dogs. Two.
- I really liked both main characters.
- I espeacially liked the neighbor Douglas.

What I liked a little less:
- In the very last chapters the story got a little too cheesy for my taste.

All in all: I do recommend you pick this up!

I loved this book so much I read it in a day. I could not put it down. I loved the witty charm between both the main characters Rocco and Beth. I was laughing many times throughout the book. I thought this was one of the best Rom Coms I have read in a long time.

First lets talk about Rocco who is a A-List celebrity who owns a dog name Houdini. Rocco needs to read through a bunch of scripts but has a hard time because Houdini eats the scripts and basically distracts Rocco. In comes Beth a chef who wants to start her own business and the money Rocco is willing to pay for her to watch Houdini while he reads the pile of scripts in his office.

The banter between the characters was so darn funny at times you burst out laughing. Houdini the lovable dog also has his own characteristics hence his name he is good a disappearing.

Rich Amooi weaved an awesome Rom Com that engages you throughout the book. He did a fantastic job with character development they came to life as you read the story. I personally would love to see this story turn into a movie it was that good. I cannot stop praising this book and highly recommend this book to anyone who needs some laughter and a pick me up also to anyone who loves romantic comedy.

This is a 5 star book to me!

Thank you to Netgalley and Rich Amooi for giving me a copy of the book for an honest review.

A hilarious and sweet rom com!

Beth needs money to start her dream organic dog treat business. When she’s offered a job by Hollywood bad boy Rocco Romano, who she hates, she takes it. She lives on his property to take care of his dog while he works and as time progresses, they fall for each other.

This was so sweet and light hearted.

There is no spice in this.

I love a good celebrity romance and the plot was good.

I liked this book! I thought it was really cute, lighthearted, and a fast read. I enjoyed the sarcasm, banter, and loving humor between the main characters. As a fellow dog lover, I really enjoyed the dog enthusiasm throughout. I thought this was overall a really cute story.

Rocco, a Hollywood bad boy, needs a caretaker for his mischievous dog Houdini, during working hours so he can focus on reading scripts for his next project. His agent finds him a dogsitter, Beth, to look after Houdini, not knowing that Beth knew Rocco from the past (and had a great dislike for him). She needs the money to open her own business so she agrees to dogsit for him and stay on the property.

I loved the supporting characters about as much as I loved the lead characters. I thought the story was compelling, uplifting, and interesting. Would recommend!

Adorable story and a quick read (took me longer than usual with so much work but that’s besides the point).

Will definitely be reading from this author again.

While the cover is not particularly my favorite, it is still very eye-catching

Fun and Sweet - 2 words that would describe this book
It was really funny and a nice read, I enjoyed it mostly till 75% I enjoyed it even then just that I felt the comeback or like him proposing done a little without much emotion or too fast, but a nice read!
A celebrity trope and enemies to lovers done ri8
They had really good banter, I was very interested in what's gonna happen now

The dog was cutest and I enjoyed cut of drama, there wasn't much female drama, it felt realistic and strong characters are always a win

This book was a super cute love story about a girl, Beth, who takes a job watching a super famous actors, Rocco, dog for three weeks so that he can crack down and focus on finding his next acting roll. I laughed throughout this whole book! Beth and Rocco are so funny and they make the perfect couple. Not to mention the side characters in the books were so well written and they made you fall in love with them just as much as the main characters. And we cannot forget about Houdini, who gets his name honest, everyone loves a dog companion.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I enjoyed the fun and light-hearted banter in this story. There weren't any traumas the characters had to work through, and it was sort of insta-love.
Houdini was a cute addition to the story, as well as the forced proximity incidents caused by him.
I think this is the perfect pick-me-up read when you're in the mood for it, and I hope readers enjoy it as much as I did. If only more guys were like Rocco.

Rocco Romano the big A-lister Hollywood Super Star dubbed the ‘sexiest man alive’ needs a temporary sitter for his newly adopted dog, Houdini. Enter in Beth. Since Beth’s brother is a famous comedian he shares the same agent as Rocco who lines Beth up with the position. The only problem is Beth loathes & despises Rocco, but out of desperation and the need for money, to start her own business, she accepts the job.

From the very first page this book is hilarious and I couldn’t put it down. This book put the biggest smile on my face. I never laughed so much reading a book before. I’m completely crushing on this book 😍This is a MUST READ!! The humor in this is off the charts. The banter between Rocco and Beth, especially in the beginning, is beyond golden. I was instantly hooked and then 6 hours later I was in tears with a book hangover because I never wanted it to end 🥰

What I loved:
▪️ The premise of the story was great
▪️The writing style, the hilarious humor and the engaging characters A plus
▪️Beth - She’s a pill and I love her character’s personality
▪️Rocco - Loved his character as well (swooooon) 😍 Especially his Hawaiian Roll ten pack abs, lol.
▪️Unproblematic MC’s
▪️Houdini the Dog ❤️
▪️The guesthouse kitchen scene when they share dinner, the zoom call - ruff ruff. I died laughing. These were definitely my favorite scenes, welp! RIP me ☠️😂
▪️The heart swelling romance which was so swoon worthy and sweet!
▪️ The ending was pure magic.
▪️ EVERYTHING ELSE ABOUT THIS BOOK!

I definitely need a physical copy of this book for my selves now. This is going on my ‘top reads’ list IMMEDIATELY ❤️ This book has 5 stars on Amazon currently, and for good reason. The HYPE is real! I highly recommend this book if you want a sweet, funny swoonworthy clean romance with absolutely no nonsense. Thank you to @netgalley for this #arc in exchange for my honest review.

This was such a light, adorable read. I read it in one sitting, and it definitely hits the spot if you’re looking for something a little cheesy and a lot sweet. The humor and banter between Beth and Rocco was highly entertaining.

As a dog lover at heart, Rocco’s insistence on making it work with his rescue pup just melted my heart! Houdini and Rocco’s similars pasts tugged on my heart strings.

My only gripes were minimal; there were times it was sickeningly sweet and over the top cheesy, and the relationship progressed at light speed. Also what kind of girl who is “very familiar with the inner workings of Hollywood because of my brother” has to ask what an NDA is!? But, in the name of romance, a little suspension of disbelief is sometimes called for.

All in all, I loved the little details like Beth’s affinity for cars and Rocco’s lovable, Wilson-esque neighbor, and the big declaration was everything a romance lover could ask for.
