I enjoyed reading this book. It had a good story to it. I liked the variety of characters in it. It had a good story to it. It was a well written book.
Patterson-DuBois have constructed a propulsive narrative that shoves you from one chapter to the next with a neverending succession of cliffhangers. Bounding through the 150 or so chapters, you start to feel like Tarzan swinging from one vine to the next. You don't look down and you really don't dare let go.
It's a rock-'em-sock-'em thriller in the greatest of the old-school traditions and great fun to read. Robert Ludlum would be righteously jealous.
I struggled with this book., I found it very hard to keep reading, and to finish it. The charters are hard to follow, and pace is slow in some parts and fast in others. The book is also way to long to hold your interest. In some parts the authors went into way too much detail.

I found this slow at some points then cruises along to action, mystery and violence. It's an interesting and plausible plot which I would have said as not until 7 years ago. Frightening
Thank you netgalley and the publisher for this arc
I struggled with this book. James Patterson is one of my favourite authors and I love books about the government. I thought this would be fantastic! I found it almost overly descriptive, which seemed to interfere with the pacing. There were so many characters and short action sequences. The book is very long (over 500 pages), and I found myself skimming to the end. Maybe this book just wasn’t for me. Maybe I needed to connect with the characters more. This was just not my favourite one of his.
Political intrigue…one of my favorite authors, Patterson, and his coauthor,..weaving a cannot put down story…thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for sending me this electronic copy for review…secrets…political killings and more…red herrings…what will happen next? This author never fails to write a mystery that reads like true crime…
I liked this new Patterson novel. It reminded me of his older stuff. The beginning is a bit slow but about halfway through it speeds up and I wanted to keep reading to see what was happening next. I did figure out several of the twist early on but it didn't make me want to stop reading it. Thanks NetGalley for the advanced copy #NetGalley #Blowback
An all too real version version of what could happen with the wrong president in office…again. Suspenseful and exciting page turner
