I would give anything for seven more days with my mom! Len wasn’t particularly thrilled when he woke to find his deceased mother in his living room, very much alive.

The story follows them for seven days during which Len tries to figure out how to get records reinstated for someone previously dead. He spends the week trying to figure out how his mom came to be alive and why she acted like it was years before she died. There is some confusion in his mind about what year it really is and whether what he is experiencing is true or if he is simply having a mental breakdown.

This is such a lovely book. It is well written, and the characters are enduring. I laughed and I cried. I even sobbed in the end. I highly recommend reading this wonderful book. Book Clubs will have plenty to discuss. Admittedly, I was a bit confused by the timeline at the end, but it didn’t make it any less enjoyable.

The Seven-Day Resurrection is the story of a man whose mother returns from the dead. Or does she? The man is Len Holder and he has spent years caring for his mother. After she returns from the dead, he begins to look back at these times, his mother shares some of her memories of the past, and he reflects on all this. The characters are well-written, the plot is unique, and the dialogue is great. I think that people will enjoy this look back at life told from the view of a caregiver.
