Well a time travel romance with a difference. No hunky warriors in kilts. But z man from the Colonies in America and an older woman. Must say though, no wonder she didn’t eat carbs with the amount she drank!
Actually it was fun and I must say the idea of a Professor without articles written and no dissertation in the Central Libraries was a bit unusual, better to have made him a Visiting.
The ending was not a twist though and yes, no-one would really like the life in 1750 with its lack of amenities, servants not withstanding.
Nice to read but not high fiction.
This was such a lovely read... I'm not usually able to read something in one sitting, but I was with this book, so that was just great!
I can't wait to read what's next from the author And my wallet is ready for whenever another one of her excellent books is published!!!
Such a good premise, but the plot is not well-developed. TIME LIES begins with each character assuming the other is literally, an Other, either witch or nutcase, and has difficulty developing that premise beyond the introduction. The characters are fascinating upon introduction but not so much by midpoint of the book. The plot is normal for the genre. I received my copy from the publisher through NetGalley.
