I didn’t love this book. I didn’t hate it either. It was a quick and entertaining read. Sarah Robinson writes well, but the story lacked character development and since the story was so short things progressed at an unusually quick pace that seemed to unrealistic. Will I read another book by Sarah Robinson? Probably not. Am I angry that I read this book? No.

Mall Out of Luck is such a cute read. I loved this quick read so much and how it ties into all the At the Mall series. You have a ff love connection that you are going to love. Saoirse and Nell are fabulous. I love Nell and how she just steps in when she notices Saoirse needing a little help. Saoirse has never had luck when it comes to love and hoping her new bar will have all the luck she needs. This is a sweet read that you will not be able to put down. You need to meet Nell and Saoirse today and see what happens.

A Five-star read that brings the luck of the Irish with it. This is number three in the At the Mall books, but they can all be read as stand-alone as each is about a different business and couple, they do pop up in each other stories and they are all cute and short enough to read all together. When we met Nell in a previous story she made me smile with her wit and heart, now that Saoirse has moved to the Mall is she all that she finally needs? This is short and cute, and packs an almighty punch, must like a visit to the mall should.

This was a quick, fun read!

Nell is attending the grand opening of a bar near her under new management. When she checks it out, she meets Saoirse and is fairly smitten right off the bat. Saoirse, dubbed the Runaway Bride, has left 3 other people at the alter and the news is already digging around for details.

I read this in an afternoon and it was a fun little F/F novella.

A few kisses, no on page sex, and has some twists I was not expecting. Also quite a bit of humor! I was only sad the snake wasn't in the epilogue :P

It definitely stands fine as a stand alone, as I have never read this author before. It was on the short side, so I wasn't sure I was feeling the couple's delivery of a HEA, especially with Saoirse's background, so I think the epilogue choice here was perfect - far enough into the future to really get a feel for how they have fallen in love even more since the reader left them.

This was my first FF book and I’d call it FF lite. Is also my first Sarah Robinson book. It was cute and fun and to short. There should of been more story. It ended to soon and then the epilogue was two years later. I felt gypped of their life and romance.

Smart and sexy. I love the character development in this book.

I love the covers and the potential in the At the Mall short stories, but even for short stories there just isn't enough content.

I thought Mall You Need is Love was short but it had more depth and story ARC than Mall Out of Luck. Basically Nell (Amara's from Mall You Need is Love friend, who other than a text message isn't included) and Saoirse meet at the bar now under her ownership and that's pretty much the whole story. There's not much get-to-know you or grand opening on St. Patrick's day scene, and the tiny epilogue doesn't even provide more insight into their future.

Lots of potential but too short to provide a satisfying story.

This is a very short sapphic novella following two women: Nell (a vaccine scientist and former-foster kid) and Saoirse (a commitment-phobe who has left three different people at the altar). Saoirse takes ownership of Nell’s favorite bar and the two begin a relationship.

Now, I haven’t nothing against novellas. I think novellas can be really great and the perfect size if the story fits it. This just did not work. There was way too much that needed to happen and too few pages. The entirety of the plot can be summed up in three different points (meeting, awkward coincidence, epilogue) and there is just…nothing. This felt like a wordy story outline rather than a completed work.

My biggest pet peeve though is truly the cover. I know that authors usually don’t have control of this, so this isn’t anything against Sarah Robinson but it IS negative for whoever made that decision. Nell is described as a Black woman and Saoirse is a red head. The hair color can be overlooked—even if it is annoying—but to LITERALLY whitewash the cover’s depiction of Nell is reallllly problematic. This is something I’m really disappointed in.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved Saoirse and Nell. They were my favourite. I loved the cover too. 5*.

"Mall Out of Luck" is a very short and sweet sapphic novella with a St. Patrick’s Day theme. I do wish it was longer in length; it felt like the epilogue came way too soon. That said, I have read a lot of one shot fan fictions in my past so I'm used to this feeling of constantly wanting more. There are many ways Sarah Robinson could expand the story if she ever chooses to do so as this was only a sneak peek into the start of Nell and Saoirse's relationship.

My only other note would be that the girls on the cover do not match the description of the characters in the story.

Saoirse and Nell would have made a cute couple if I had more depth to the characters. I felt that I only got to see one dimension of them. I like steam in my books but don't necessarily have to have it. I love sweet books as much as the next person. I didn't feel like I actually got to know the couple as much as I would of have liked.

I just wanted more I guess. This was my first f/f book.

This was an incredibly quick read, I just wish it was a little longer. The premise was strong; one woman in STEM and another opening a bar? I'm all for it! Throw in fake dating/marriage and it's probably going to become one of my favourite books ever. It just fell a little flat for me, unfortunately. I know it was a novella, but I still feel like both the characters and the plot could be more developed. There was no time for me to care for Nell or Soairse or their relationship.

Still, it was a quick and enjoyable read! I'll never say no to a cheesy sapphic romance!

The cover of this novella is cute and I excited for a fun St. Patricks Day romance. Instead I got a super short story with a nice meet cute, an awkward coincidence followed by an epilogue. The premise of a female bar owner falling in love with a female scientist was enticing. I really wanted to love this book. There were very few distracting errors, but the plot felt thin to me. Possibly my enjoyment was skewed by too many coincidences that made the characters and events feel forced. Again, I love the concept, this just seemed like an early draft that needed more.

This novella was such a super cute romance, from the first moment they saw eachother you could tell they would have such a fun relationship. I loved the little mentions on women in STEM and women who like women. The issues are still on going so it's nice to have it in books and hopefully help younger readers and people in general to know it's okay to be a kick ass women and be who you are. Nell was such a chill character, and I loved that she had a snake. Definitely unique. Saoirse was also a cool character and had different challenges and I think both characters worked well together. Being a novella the relationship comes together quite quickly but I still felt like there was a connection and I loved there little story.

I thought this was a very cute and fun novella but I wish it was a bit longer. Just as I was getting into the story and beginning to like the characters, it was time for the epilogue. The story idea and the characters were great and this would have made a fantastic longer book.

I was intrigued by the summary, it's true, who has a snake at home?
the start was pretty good but as the novella is short, unfortunately we can't make the suspense last, I found that it was going too fast and that there was just a series of events.
I would have liked more suspense and that the novel be written in the first person in order to feel the emotions and the attraction between the two characters.

otherwise it was really cute and funny and this book really has potential, I think it's mostly a story of point of view of how we understand the story :)
