Thank you to NetGalley and St Martin's Press/St Martin's Griffin for a copy of this book. All opinions in this review are my own.

This book was extremely well written. However, I had to stop reading about halfway through & this review is based on what I was able to complete.

This book follows two different people as they heal from heartbreak. Lorri Is struggling with divorce after her husband was unfaithful, while Ryder is still processing the loss of his wife and small child. The author does a great job building the characters back stories and really connecting with them. However, the twist, which I'm not sure if you can call it a twist, because I saw the threads that were going to be connecting these characters coming from a mile away, was not something that I was going to be able to handle right now. This is no fault to the author. However, I recognize that I am unable to read this type of story, having experienced my own loss relating to a car accident, as well as, have tangential relationships with the judicial system. I was not going to be able to read this book without being triggered from my own past traumas. Again, this book was well written and the author really pulled you in, but this is not something that I will be able to complete at this time.

This is a well written story by this author. I have only read one other book by Naigle and had forgotten that there was too much christian/religion for me. This is very much a hallmark type book. It would fit to a movie very well. I often times like this but unfortunately this time not so much. The characters were not developed enough and it seemed that nothing was happening.

This is a fun/easy read. Lorri doesn't know the best is yet to come and Ryder is still trying to heal. This is a book that evolves friendship and healing and you get a front row seat to watch.

I love reading Nancy’s books and this one just might be my new favorite book! If you haven’t read it yet then it’s time for you to pick it up and read it to make it your favorite. Thank you for writing such a great book!

The Wedding Ranch was a Hallmark movie in the making, as many other reviewers have commented. After reading the book, the title didn’t really fit, as the ranch itself didn’t play that much into the story, but overall, this was a heartfelt, emotional book that I think many will like. It had a simple, sweet romance between Lorri and Ryder and a happy ending.

The plot twist was one that I guessed early on, so it didn’t have that aha! type of reaction that I look forward to, but the whole story of love and loss, and finding love again made for an emotional read

Many thanks to Netgalley and St. Martin's Press for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

Slow build up but great story. Love scenes are closed door so not overly spicy. Cowboys & small town romances are quickly becoming a favorite of mine.

The concept of this book is a sweet, heart warming idea. I love a lot of Nancy Naigle books, especially her holiday ones.

Due to time I will not be giving a thorough review of this book, but I’m sure it will be a fit for many people out there.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

This is a quick fun read written by a talented and gifted author. She weaves a story that is intriguing while being entertaining...it is a book that is best read cuddled in a favorite chair with a warm afghan and a cup of steaming tea. Quick afternoon...liking the characters...the setting fun...This book was sent to me by Netgalley for review.

This was a heartwarming story about people. After Lorri’s husband blindsides her, she moves to a new home in a new town. As she gets to know the town and those who live there, she meets Ryder. The two become good friends. He can’t move on from the past and Lorri’s not ready for a new relationship. I loved the characters in this book. The storyline was simple, but at the same time so much from the past is there to complicate things for Lorri and Ryder. There’s joy as well as grief throughout the story.

This was a fun small town. cowboy meets girl (and dog) kind of romance. It takes a bit for the story to get going, but once it does the story is enchanting. The themes of divorce and of loss and grief were well done and added to the story rather than detracting. I enjoyed this one a lot, and would recommend it.

Thank you to St Martin's Press for providing me with an ARC of this book.

Very sweet, second chance at love, small town romance. Really enjoyed seeing them both open their hearts to each other after what they have been through separately, even though you can see the small "twist" coming it was resolved nicely. And normally I'm not a big of of epilogue's but this one wrapped up the story well.

Thank you to Griffin and Netgalley for an e-arc for review (my apologizes that it is so late!)

Lorri finds out her husband is cheating on her but not before be gifts her with a giant Matsiff dog named Mister. Lorri is left to pick up the pieces and decides a move to a small town would be good. She meets Ryder while she’s attending the local fair and sparks fly. Both have things in their past that are obstacles they work to overcome.

This was a sweet, Hallmark type romance. I want a Matsiff dog now! It was a quick and easy read but did deal with a few heavier topics - death, drunk driving and divorce.

3.5 rounded up. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy. Opinions are my own.

Eh. It was ok and the proper amount of mush. I did not think this was a romance but two people learning to find new love with each other after traumatic events and disappoints and learning from mistakes. Read more like a women's literary fiction book.

The actual story was just ok. Not mind blowing or anything special. Just ok.

I cannot personally recommend this book or the author, but I can see why other people may enjoy reading this.

Thanks to NetGalley, Nancy Naigle and St Martin's Press Griffin for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Wedding Ranch is a story of second chances when life doesn't turn out like it originally was planned to be. After her cheating husband divorces her, Lorri moves to a small town called Dalton Mill. She is desperate to start over and thinks living in a rural location is the perfect way to start. She meets several new people in her new hometown including a local guy named Ryder. Ryder and Lorri have an immediate connection but neither one of them is looking for romance.

Both characters are bringing baggage into their friendship. Lorri is still trying to process her divorce as well as her brothers tragic death from years prior. Ryder lost his wife and son in a car accident and has been processing his grief ever since. Yet the more time they spend together, the more they connect and seem to help each other.

As Lorri and Ryder grow closer the topics of grief, forgiveness, addiction, and how to move forward from their pasts. While these are heavy topics, there is also a touch of sweetness in the story. Plus an adorable mastiff named Mister who was a gift for Lorri from her ex-husband before he left her for another woman. He really was a bright spot in the story although I admittedly was worried that something would happen to him.

The Ranch Wedding flows nicely alternating between Lorri and Ryder's points of view. There is also a plot twist which honestly was very easy to figure out. It was something that the two characters should have realized shortly after meeting but, instead was dragged out for more tension. There is also some discussions about Christian faith sprinkled throughout this story which some readers may not enjoy. I didn't mind it because it didn't overpower the story and instead it added to the sweet small town romance vibe.

This is a clean, second chance romance for a widower and a divorcee, neither of who are looking for love again. I found the beginning slow and a bit disjointed. I think it would have gone smoother, if the author started with Ryder and his issues before moving on to Lorrie. He not only lost his wife and son in an auto accident, for which he feels needless guilt, but his parents also sold their share of the family ranch to a developer without telling Ryder and his sister Diane. Now he lives for his niece and nephew, who he help start the Wedding Ranch, a wedding destination. Lorrie meanwhile has suspected that her husband Craig has been unfaithful and has even consulted with a divorce attorney, but then he talks her into giving him one more chance and gives her a mastiff puppy. In the end he cheats again (with the dog trainer) and she decides to change her life, moving to one of those homes in the development next to Ryder's ranch. They develop a nice friendship that could lead to something more, if not for their previous baggage. Early in the book, it becomes clear to the reader, but not to any of the characters, that Lorrie and Ryder have another connection that could lead to heartache for both of them.

I like the characters, the story, the way Lorrie blossomed living in the country and the nicely done description of a county fair. However, there are a number of characters from other books, that I did not read and therefore was not familiar enough with the references to fill in the gaps.

I read an ARC provided by the publisher via NetGalley.com. There were a few editing errors in my copy, but I assume they were corrected in the final edition. This icy unbiased and voluntary review.

This was a really cute book! I will warn you, the beginning is very slow, I almost DNF it. Once it gets going though, it’s so good, and I am glad I held out! It is a closed door romance, if you’re a fan of that, you will enjoy it.
