This book was quite an interesting ride. I could never quite get a read on the main character Sara, which I think was the intention of the author. Sara Bhaduri is freaked out when a woman with the same name is found murdered in front of her apartment. Why? Because the other Sarah had taken a rideshare meant for Sara B. Thinking she was the intended victim Sara decides to figure out who would want her dead. The story, told in flashbacks from Sarah and present day for Sara, twists and turns to an unexpected conclusion. I like that the author wrote a character who was trying to subvert the "typical" way she was supposed to act. It was refreshing. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.
Saraswati, who goes by Sara is a law student and works 2 jobs to afford her basic needs, one of them being at Gavin’s, a dive bar. One busy night, the owner asks her to help out a customer in the bathroom that has overstayed her welcome. While getting the woman out, they start chatting an realize they have the same name. They eventually part ways, each of them ordering a ride. When Saraswati is dropped off at a rich neighborhood, she realizes Sarah must’ve taken her ride, no big deal right? She’ll walk. But when she gets home, she finds a crime scene, Sarah is dead. Sara isn’t as innocent as people think… was she the intended target? It was her apartment after all..
Wow! Extremely addicting and kept me reading all day long. I read this in almost one sitting so I absolutely enjoyed reading this book. I’m not too big of a fan of alternating perspectives but it went really well with this story so I honestly didn’t mind it. Definitely enjoyed this read!
Rideshare and two girls name Sarah. I absolutely enjoyed this book. I will place it somewhere between a thriller in a mystery but it absolutely is an original story that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
This is almost a 5 star read for me, i got hooked right from the start. The main character is smart, daring, desperate and intriguing. The story involves multiple storylines for her and a look at the past of the woman with her same name who was killed. We get lead down the path and while I guessed the killer, I didn't guess the way the book turned out. While I could identify with her, her choices were still surprising and showed her true grit. I am glad the author didn't go for the easy ending
Which Sara will make it home alive?
This intriguing novel is on my top 10 for the year!
Wow, this was a superb read. I was engrossed from the beginning and found this story to be very compelling.
I was literally hooked into the story from start to finish! The story is intense!
This was actually a fast paced thriller, quite unputdownable with twists and thrills along the way. This wild story kept me hooked and I was literally thrown to the edge of the seat! The writing was really great as the author did a good job of drawing the reader into the story.
Are You Sara? By S.C. Lalli is downright addictive… There was no way I could stop myself as I furiously flicked the pages… Will keep you on the edge of your seat and will have your heart racing.
The writing was unlike anything I've read before!
An author whose book I found to be so well written, gripping and always thrilling.
I went into this book with high expectations and Lalli, didn't let me down.
This is such a roller coaster ride--a fast paced thriller with twists and turns and quite unpredictable--worth five stars!

I will post my review to my platforms, blog, B&N and Waterstone closer to pub date.
This was a very intriguing book to read. The Mystery and suspense. The drama and the twist and turns. I absolutely loved this book and it is the first I have read by this author. If you like Mystery and Suspense books this is right up your alley.
Thank you to Netgalley & the publisher for an advance readers copy in return for an honest review.
Tagline: Two women named Sara each get into a rideshare. . . but only one makes it home alive. Which Sara was the real target?
A good read that went by very fast! The most enjoyable aspect of books was the array characters & how they fit into the plot! Definitely worth a read!
Super excited to delveinto this fantastic novel! The premise is original and scary at the same time, and even the beginning of the book has me enthralled! An identity mixup leading to a crime is frightening to contemplate, and this is the crux of this compelling story.
A case of mistaken identity, or...? The rideshare drivers who delivered two inebriated girls named Sara and Sarah to the wrong addresses were cleared of wrongdoing. So who was responsible for the death of the well-off Sarah who had been dropped off on the wrong side of town?
The novel continues by focusing on the past of the two girls, some of it seemingly irrelevant to the murder and not advancing the story in a significant way. A tighter plot would have made this a better book. A good read, nevertheless.
Wow. This Sara is dangerous because she's whip smart and has too much riding to lose. Readers will applaud her moxy and follow thru. Very suspenseful and full of tension. BTW, stalkers should never be underestimated!
