This is a really interesting book. I'll be honest, the first third of the book dragged a bit. I found it hard to feel anything for the protagonist, Amelia, or her husband Carl, and it was not entirely believable that she was keeping such a major secret from him after eleven years of marriage. But, then the book hit its stride and I began to see how the "flaws" of the characters were setting up the events to come. There were numerous unexpected twists and turns that really brought the story to life, and the second half of the book was thrilling. I listened to the audiobook, which was very engaging, and I did not want to pause it as I reached the end. The conclusion was very satisfying and I'm glad that I did not give up on this story! Although the descriptions of traumatic events were hard to hear, they anchored the narrative threads of control and choice that were fundamental to this tale. Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to review this audiobook.

I enjoyed listening to Finding the other Woman more than I thought that I would.
There is a trigger of child abuse, if anyone struggles with that topic.
With that said, I found this to be a very interesting read. I'm not sure if thrilling is the correct word to describe this book but I was enthralled by it and wanted to keep listening to it. I was actually able to guess what was going on, in this story, about a woman who lost her memory for the last 4 years and gets fed up with the lies that her husband is telling her. She believes that he's holding back information and so she goes on a hunt to look for those stolen years of her life.
I'd like to thank the author, Netgalley and Dreamscape media for giving me this ARC audiobook in return for my honest and voluntary review.

Thank you to NetGalley, Cole Baxter, and the publisher for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook and provide an honest review.

When Amelia wakes up in the middle of the night to her husband moaning the name of another woman, she cannot let it go. She is determined to find out who this mysterious woman he is having an affair with.

To make matters more difficulty and confusing, Amelia was involved in a serious automobile accident that left her with four years of lost memories that she cannot recover, and each time she mentions wanting to seek therapy or answers to recover this lost time, her husband is not supportive and brushes her needs and desires off. Amelia sets off on her own determined journey to find out what happened to her in these four years, and what triggered the memory loss.

This book contained some dark themes that may be triggering for some readers, as Amelia revisits her distant past to help recover her more recent past.

I did figure out the "big twist" right from the beginning, but the book was still enjoyable nonetheless as I learned the full truth alongside Amelia.

The narrator was really strong and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this during my drives to work. I will definitely read more titles from this author.

While I typically really enjoy a good psychological thriller, this one did not keep me engaged and it was a struggle to finish. The memory loss aspect was nice but overall it wasn’t very exciting to read.

I just started reading Cole Baxter and I'm really loving his books!

Amelia has lost four years of her life and feels like her husband, Carl, is holding secrets. Amelia goes on a search to find out who Emily is since her husband is saying her name in the middle of the night. Amelia and Carl's relationship is a bit strained because she feels like he holds information or lies to her. Amelia goes on the search for answers and to fill the gap for the missing 4 years. The answers that she finds is not what she was expecting.

Thank you #NetGalley for the advance copy and my honest review.

It was very easy to empathize with the main character and hope that she finds out what happened during the time of her memory loss.

I'll pump it up to 3.5 stars.

Big thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to review the audiobook.

It was a slow start for me and I thought I'd only give it a 2.5 rating, but 3/4 of the way through it turned around.

This story seemed to be very obvious and the main character weak and ridiculous. It wasn't believable at all. I did enjoy the two women "meeting" and their differences, but overall, this was quite corny and felt as if it were written for a teenager.

Narrator, 5 stars because of the great voice.
The story 2 stars because I just couldn’t get into it the story and the female protagonist drove me crazy. She appeared weak and whiny. To many second guess.

4/5 ⭐️
I always love a good psychological thriller! And revenge is also thrown in there as well. It kept me on the edge of my seat.

I could not get into this book and I did not finish it. I gave up at about chapter 4. Amelia is annoying and the story is not there; it’s all about sex with her husband and her terrible relationship with her family. There is nothing compelling enough to make me want to continue reading this.

Amelia can't seem to remember the past 4 years of her life. She knows that she was in a car accident with her abusive father (who didn't make it) but has no idea what happened to her immediately after until about six months ago. Her relationship with her husband has changed too but Amelia can't seem to remember why and her husband, Cal doesn't seem to want to her remember anything from the past 4 years. Amelia convinces herself that Cal is having an affair and that that is why he is trying to keep her in the dark about the past four years.

Amelia's father was sexually abusive to both her and her late sister and Amelia keeps having reoccurring memories of the things that her father did to her putting even more strain on her relationship with her husband. When Cal refused to pay for Amelia to go through hypnotherapy to try to recover her memories she takes matters into her own hands and discovers the truth of what happened the past four years and why Cal wanted to keep it a secret from her. She also discovers the events that occurred that caused her such trauma to have to lose 4 years worth of memories.

While parts of this book were graphic and disturbing and I figured out the twist pretty quickly I still really enjoyed this book.

Trigger warnings— mental illness and sexual abuse.

I wanted to like this book but it was sadly predictable and I wanted to shake the main character. It’s not a bad read just not to it’s full potential either.

The narrator was very good at all the different characters. I was able to differentiate characters just by the narrators voice changes.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book centers around a woman named Amelia, who is working to piece together the 4 years after her car accident (with her father) that she has no memory of. According to her husband, they spent those 4 years in the city, then moved to the suburbs, not much drama there. Her husband says another woman's name in his sleep and it all hits the fan. Is his story about these 4 years true, who's that woman, what the heck is going on??

This one was a book where I really bounced around between 5 stars and 3 stars as it went along, so 4 stars it is! I couldn't stop listening to this book, truly. I needed to know what was going on. The author did a great job of making you quite sure you knew was going on, then having you soon doubting yourself entirely.

The only part that brought me down was things get figured out and wrapped up a wee bit too neatly and easily. The knowing nothing and then knowing everything was a bit of a fast jump, tied up nicely with a pretty bow.

Overall, a really good psychological mind-twister and I will definitely look into giving more of this author's books a shot

DNF at 30%. I would have quit sooner but pushed on trying to be fair for a review.

There may be a story here but I’m not finding it. The repetitive description of an erect penis is exhausting. The constant retelling in vivid description of her rape by her father is gross. Then there is the covert rape by the husband. I cannot read about any more rape and incest or penis description. That is literally the only thing that has happened for 30% this book just isn’t for me.

A twisty domestic psychological thriller about a woman who can't remember her past who is reunited with her husband who she is beginning to suspect she shouldn't trust. Full of twists and turns and great on audio. This one definitely kept me on the edge of my seat! Much thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my advance listening copy!

Thank you NetGalley, Dreamscape Media, and Cole Baxter for this advanced audiobook!

This audio kept me engaged the entire time. Normally I listen to audios as I'm working, but I found myself keeping my earbud in well after dinner. It was suspenseful and although I kind of had an idea of how it was going to end, it didn't stop me from wanting to know. Definitely recommend.

I loved this bizarre little tale. I definitely was surprised by some of the plot twists and the ending wrapped it all up in dark way. I would recommend for a friend that likes books like Gone Girl.
