What if you couldn’t remember the last four years of your life?
This is exactly what happened to Amelia, but now she’s ready to take action and reclaim those missing years.
Her husband, Carl, has been crying out in his sleep for “Emily” and Amelia is about to find out exactly who this other woman is.
Listening to this audiobook, I found myself eager to hear what would come with each chapter. However, I found the twist predictable and never much cared for Amelia’s character. I wish she had more redeeming qualities. More notably, I truly despised Carl from start to finish.
Definitely an easy listen with a satisfying ending but needed more likable characters.

This is the first book by this author. The story of Amelia is presented to the reader, a woman that can't remember 4 years of her life and only can remember 6 months ago to present.. It is the time after she had an accident while she was driving the car accompanied by her father. He didn't survive the accident. This is a twisted tale of ghastly Amelia and her equally awful husband Carl. She hears him utter the name 'Emily' in his sleep and she becomes hell bent on finding this "other woman" despite Carl's denying the existence of any such person. Cole Baxter sends you hurtling from one emotional event to another although it felt like I’d read this story somewhere before, it was gripping. There are some areas that are pretty graphic and seem like it is pushing the relevancy of the tone. It really grossed me out in spots and made me feel violated myself, and the thought that a man wrote this didn't help with that disturbing factor. Aside from that, I found the story interesting and the ending satisfying in a vengeful type of way. Even so, I still didn't like her husband and myself would've divorced him over his treacheries, the whole thing as I said was entertaining to listen to, and I found the psychological aspects interesting but something just missed the mark here for me. And I really hope I don't run into another man abusing his daughter type of story, its too disturbing. I would rate this 3.5-3.8.
Thank you to #netgalley, the author and #dreamscapemedia for the arc.

I really enjoyed this book. The author did a good job of crafting the story so that there was a twist at the end, and I was very satisfied with the ending.

I hate to write a negative review. I almost DNF this but I kept thinking maybe it’ll turn around and explain all the absolutely bizarre behavior, inconsistencies, and things that made me think… what?! It takes A LOT to offend/disturb me and the detailed sexual scenes between father/daughter and even husband and wife made me straight up CRINGE. There were SO many unnecessary details and just extremely unrealistic events that occurred the whole thing just left me thinking what the hell was that. The idea was there, but the execution missed the mark. Sorry. Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this Netgalley.

Thank you to NetGalleyShelf for the audio advance to read or copy of this book.. while the theme of abuse and amnesia appeals yo my pshychiological thriller loving self, this novel falls way short. The mystery and twists were easily anticipated and nothing about the story was a surprise or shocking. No characters were like able and many were down right evil. Good premise, very poor telling. I did finish the story so 2 stars are deserved, as it couldn’t have been that bad. I guess I was only continuing in hopes of a twist that I hadn’t figured out.

Definitely not my favorite Cole Baxter book. I figured out the twists very early on and, because of that, couldn't resonate with the heroine - in fact, she annoyed me. A lot! Also, the detailed and simply vulgar sexual descriptions were off-putting. On the plus side, the narrarator of the audiobook did a fantastic job and I will be looking for more books narrarated by her.
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for the opportunity to review this audiobook.

Finding The Other Woman by Cole Baxter had great potential. I was repulsed by the basis of the storyline. The author wrote some very surprising twists that I did not see coming. Jennifer Jill Araya was great performing the book. She added the right emotions. Thank you #NetGalley and #Dreamscape Media for letting me listen to this book. Without giving away spoilers as this is prepublication review, I think there should be trigger warnings listed for this book.

Amelia has lost four years of her life after surviving the car crash that killed her father. Her husband, Carl, is not quick to provide her with many answers. Her curiosity is generally satiated until she overhears Carl moaning another woman’s name in his sleep. Who is Emily and why is Carl having such erotic dreams about her?! She MUST be the reason he’s not providing Amelia with details of her lost memories because he’s afraid she’ll find out about his affair. Amelia does some digging to try to find the truth. During her search, she begins to regain bits and pieces of her memory and knows she has to get answers to all of her questions. What she finds out about her missing years is shocking and life-changing for her. The whole truth lies with Emily whether Amelia is ready for it or not.
Once I finished this audiobook, I read a lot of reviews to see what others thought. Many loved it while others thought the main character was whiny and hard to connect with. Without spoiling any of the goodness, I’ve got a different theory. Amelia IS hard to connect with and feel sorry for because she’s all over the place. She’s often accusatory and over the top and dramatic and paranoid but she has a perfectly good reason for all of it! She is a victim. She’s been a victim for most of her life and she is mentally messed up because of it. Cole Baxter gives us a raw look inside the thought processes of someone with a form of PTSD and because of that, I think Amelia is a perfectly written character. We get to see the good, the bad, the hurt, and the pain oozing from every one of her thoughts and words.
Although I did guess the big twist about halfway through the book, I was hooked and didn’t want to put this one down. The journey Amelia took to get to the conclusion was one I wanted to be on every step of the way.
Jennifer Jill Araya did a fantastic job narrating this book! She grasped each emotion with perfection and truly made this story come alive!
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

This book was not at all what I expected from the title and synopsis, and I honestly can't say it was the best surprise. Once the story got going I was able to figure out a lot of the mystery pretty quickly, and while I don't always mind that, didn't think it was especially clever or interesting. Overall, this book just didn't work for me.
The writing repeated phrases and that repetition took me out of the story; I feel the author would have done better finding different ways of saying things instead of repeating cliches throughout the book. The characters also didn't feel convincing- Amelia was fixating on odd things, and her relationship with Carl wasn't entirely convincing. Putting aside his affair, the fact that he was a pathological liar didn't make it seem like there was a healthy foundation to salvage their marriage or make Amelia fight for it. Seemed more that she wanted the familiarity and company- she even says as much- and staying for that in spite of glaring problems is not a healthy relationship. Seeing that model was disappointing.
I listened to the audiobook version of Finding the Other Woman and thought overall the narration was ok, though the narrator's sudden bursts of emotion were a little offputting. I think a more tempered approach, or gradual escalation and deescalation when discussing emotional moments is a better path to take.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy.

Many thanks to @dreamscapemediagroup & @netgalley for providing this thriller audiobook for review. This story was a domestic thriller about a woman with amnesia whose husband is keeping secrets and who she thinks is having an affair. What develops instead is her struggling with childhood memories of hideous sexual abuse. If this sort of thing triggers you, dont read this one. It really grossed me out in spots and made me feel violated myself, and the thought that a man wrote this didnt help with that ick factor. Aside from that, I found the story interesting and the ending satisfying in a vengeful type of way. Even so, i still didnt like her husband and myself wouldve divorced him over his treacheries, the whole thing as I said was entertaining to listen to, and I found the psychological aspects intersting but something just missed the mark here for me. And I really hope I dont run into another man abusing his daughter type of story, its too disturbing. Im giving this one 3.75 rating; give it a listen if you can handle hearing about that type of abuse and want to get to the bottom of this mystery.

2.5 stars
We have the story of Amelia, a woman that can't remember 4 years of her life. It is the time after she had an accident while she was driving the car accompanied by her father. He didn't survive the accident.
Amelia starts investigating who she was during those four years and tries to remember how her life was like and what she was doing during that time. She gets a lot of push back from her husband Cal, which makes her more suspicious.
The ending was a bit predictable.
Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for this nice book!

I feel I cannot fairly leave a star rating as I was unable to finish the book for 3 main reasons but because I am required to leave a star rating, I have given 2 stars- 1 because the narrator wasn’t horrible as soon as the beginning music stopped and it stopped taking on a production quality and 1 star because I had to rate the actual book something. Here is what prevented me from finishing this book-
1. The main character, Amelia, was unlikeable in the sense that not only could I not connect with her, I was totally detached from the story. I found her basis for her accusations against her husband absolutely ridiculous however the ending of the book may have changed my perspective on that although I doubt it.
2. The detailed and vulgar sexual descriptions were off putting to put it mildly although I can deal with that in moderation but I made it about halfway through the book before I quit and 90% of it entailed some sort of sexual content. No one in the real world refers to some of the things described unless they work in the sex industry.
3. Since my preferred genre is mystery/thriller and in particular psychological thrillers, I have very few triggers if any when reading a book. I expect depravity of some degree to be included but the child abuse/incest included in this book in the same manner as my #2 complaint was just too much and I felt dirty after listening to this book. I also couldn’t listen to it when anyone was around or in hearing distance because of how crude it was.
I have NEVER not finished a book I was given to review and I hate to break that record but I just couldn’t subject myself to this book any longer because I realized regardless of how it ended, I just didn’t care.

"Memory, all alone in the moonlight
I can dream of the old days
Life was beautiful then
I remember the time I knew what happiness was
Let the memory live again" - Memory -Barbara Streisand
Amelia lost her memory in the accident that took her father's life. Four years have gone by. She has no idea what happened during those lost years. Her husband, Cal, wants her to let it go. They lived in Brooklyn, he took care of her, end of story. Let it go, Amelia. Yeah, right!
Even more upsetting than losing her memory is that her husband, Cal, appears to be hiding something. When he mentions another woman's name in his sleep, Amelia knows he had an affair during the time she cannot recall. Is that what he is hiding? Why won’t he tell her what happened during that time? What will happen when she gets her memory back?
This book has twists and turns galore. I did figure out one BIG twist early on, but still enjoyed the book. This was a fun, engaging read! I wanted to take Amelia aside a couple of times. I kept thinking seriously, you haven't figured it out yet????? Good golly, Miss Amelia but you lost all sense of reason along with your memory!
Fun, engaging, pure escapism reading. The narrator of this audiobook did a fantastic job, and I was thoroughly entertained the entire book.
Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a Women's Fiction/Thriller Mystery. The main character in this book lost her memory of the last four years of her life because of car accident. The heart of this book is the main character trying to find who she really is. This book has some hard/dark to read things in it (like child rape). I really loved reading this book, but I do not think this is a thriller it is more like a women's fiction with a mystery. I really enjoyed the wild ride we went on in this book, and there was some twists and turns that made you guess what was going on. I loved getting to really know the main character, and I love to see her find herself and become strong. I listen to the audiobook for this book, and I loved the narrator. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher or author (Cole Baxter) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

I have never been more annoyed at a main character than I was while listening to Finding the Other Woman.
I had the whole plot called 15% into the book and I was right about everything. The author repeats themselves constantly, restating the obvious in different ways, it gets OLD.

Can you imagine awakening to discover that the last four years of your memory have been erased? Amelia has only her husband, Carl’s word that her found her after the accident that claimed the life of her father, four years after her disappearance. But something doesn’t sit right with Amelia, her husband calls for another woman in his sleep and it’s obvious he’s not being honest with her. As her memory returns in fits and starts, Amelia will have to face the truth about her husband…and herself.

4.5 ☆
Once you start reading it you want to finish the book to know what exactly transpired for those four years of her life.
I like the storyline. I hate her family. I hate her family's beliefs. I like Amelia and Carl. You will be shocked at the end, the twists and turns.
I highly recommend this book to anyone to read it for you to have an idea to voice out if you're having difficulty with your family. Family should stand by your side. Don't keep it to yourself. There will always be someone to help you so don't be afraid. Act now. Be brave.
Thank you #NetGalley.
