An interesting a compassionate look at depression and its effect on daily life and struggles faced by a sufferer. I thought it would have gleaned more insight to support and strategies to empower and support fellow sufferers but it read more like an autobiography of the author’s life experiences with the illness which was kind of disappointing.

A great book for anyone looking to learn more about mental illness and to validate their own experiences. I think a book like this is especially relevant throughout the course of these last two years, when mental health has been on the decline due to the pandemic. If you are looking for something to learn more about depression, this is your new book.
