I am very much in the minority with this opinion but I hated Seven Days in June, I did want to give the author a second chance though because I thought for sure It was a me problem. Unfortunately I didn’t realise when I requested this book that this was written first but I think you can definitely tell as you’re reading.

I’ve now accepted that this author just isn’t for me. I don’t like her writing style or her stories and I won’t be reading anything from her in the future.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This felt like the perfect time to finally read The Perfect Find, as the film adaptation of the book has just come out on Netflix, but unfortunately, I just couldn't get past how dated it felt. Perhaps the 2012 setting, even written in 2016 is a bit too far gone at this point.

This book was fantastic—it was everything. I read it in less than nine hours. These characters are complex, well-developed, and very simple to image. I was a little miffed when this book finished since I wasn't prepared to say goodbye to Jenna and Eric's universe. Kudos, Tia.

I absolutely love Tia Williams' writing. I adored 'Seven Days in June' and I also really enjoyed 'The Perfect Find'. Although this one was not a new favourite, I found myself really enjoying the storyline and the characters.
There were times where I was forcing myself to carry on reading in order to get to a more interesting part. But there was still something about this book that made me want to finish reading.

After inhaling and obsessing over Seven Days in June, I knew I had to pick up anything else by this author. Honestly, if Tia Williams wrote my name on an old tea towel, I'd buy it!

Initially, I thought this was a new title, rather than a republished one. Because of this, it makes sense that some aspect of it feel a little dated. The references to (now defunct) social media platforms and the like were a little distracting for me at times (because I work in that world), but all in all, I loved my reading experience.

I thought the plot was handled in such a real way. I've read books with similar tropes before and I always need to suspend my disbelief. Not the case with this one. I also love the depth of every Tia Williams character. So vivid and so interesting.

I'm itching for this to be adapted to the screen. I think it'll be brilliant!

Big fan of Tia Williams. This book was a slow burner for me but once I got into it I could not put the book down!! Such a beautiful story!!

Unfortunately, this didn't work as well for me as Seven Days in June did. I found it rather long and the start of this book really dragged for me. I will check out another Tia Williams book and hopefully we'll get on a bit better.

I was not having a great time during the first half of this, and was very close to giving up on the book. I ended up pushing through, and enjoyed the second half much more. I think it comes down to the characters and the way they interacted, which was extremely combative at the beginning to the point of frustration. I often found their reactions towards each other inexplicable, but once feelings started getting involved, I found myself drawn in the same way I was while reading Seven Days in June. That is still, by far, the superior book between the two, though. Jenna and Eric were less compelling for me, and none of the side characters really made an impact either. I also have no affinity with fashion, so there was sadly very little to hold my interest aside from the romance.

I was really looking forward to reading this, after seeing lots of glowing reviews. However, unfortunately this book wasn't for me.

I absolutely loved Seven Days in June so was thrilled to be given a copy of The Perfect Find to read and review. I found the story to be challenging to get in to which disappointed me. As much as I enjoyed the initial sexual tension between Jenna and Eric, the longer it went on, the less believable I found it. I wasn't rooting for the characters in the way I hoped for.

As I loved Seven Days in June, I will still read whatever Tia Williams publishes next.

I will read everything Tia Williams publishes from now on. Such a way with writing, such an addictive plot and characters.

I read this a couple months after my Seven Days in June reread (one of my all-time favourites), and unfortunately this one just didn't match it. I am aware this came before it though so I know Williams is only getting better at each novel.

This was gorgeous, sexy and funny, and I absolutely recommend it.

I gave it 3.5 stars, just because I struggled with the age gap, it isn't a trope I like and it sometimes gives me the ick, and I think it was just surface level. HOWEVER, I still think this is a well-loved and adored book that I will lend out to many friends!!!

Thank you NetGalley and Quercus Books!

A quick and easy read that I found myself picking up after a long day to unwind. The characters are beautifully written and I came to love them within the first few pages and was rooting for them all the way to the end. At times I wanted to stop reading because I just wanted the experience to go on for longer.

*I was provided with a free ebook copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review.

This book is about an older, glamorous woman Jenna who finds herself in financial trouble after her divorce. She begs her old nemesis for a job at her magazine and is trying her best to work as well as she can. However, she ends up having a romantic relationship with her boss's son, who also works for the magazine. First of all, let me say that I think this would work super well as a movie/TV show. But found it difficult to imagine in my head whilst reading, as there was a lot of designer name-dropping that I didn't have the social context to fully understand.

Tia Williams blew up after 7 Days in June became super popular last year. This is an older book of hers, that is being republished following the success of 7 Days in June. This book was published several years ago and was self-published. To be honest, I think it shows that it hasn't had as rigorous editing as a traditionally published book. I found this book to be slow in the beginning, as was close to DNFing it before about 1/3rd of the way where it picked up for me. But I thought the tension between Jenna and Eric was really well written and the sex scenes were also 10/10.

Overall, I enjoyed this in the end but found it hard work to read so have rated it 3 stars.

I love Tia Williams writing. She is brilliant at depicting how wonderful love can be. I was immersed completely in the relationship between Jenna and Eric, it was intoxicating!!

This is a re-issue of a story that was published in 2016, but due to the success of Seven Days in June, got reissued by the publishers. Its a great rom com but didnt have the wow factor of Seven Days in June for me, it was a little more standard (though I did like the age difference with an older woman and younger man, that was refreshing to see)
A decent book but not a stand out one.

Former ‘it-girl’ and fashionista Jenna finds herself accepting a job working for her old rival after a broken heart took her away from her life in NYC for a while. Desperate to prove herself once more and impress her new boss she is really relying on this job. What she isn’t prepared for though is that the hot young guy she pounced on drunk is actually her boss’ son… career vs. love Jenna needs to make a decision.

This book was quite hot and steamy at times which I’m female so of course I enjoy. It definitely had drama and indecision with a fashionista flair.
I haven’t read Seven Days In June yet but I’m looking forward to it!

I couldn't really get into this book unfortunately. I'm not sure whether it was because of the characters or the setting, but I tried to start this book a few times and at no point was gripped enough to continue. Sadly, this book was a DNF for me. It doesn't mean it was a bad book, just not the book for me for some reason.

This wasn't for me. I will ultimately forget this before too long. This just didn't work for me. I couldn't get invested in the story.

Tia Williams is fast becoming a favourite author of mine with her novels full of killer lines, sassy female characters and super sexy love stories.
