James Carson has gotten away with murder three times.
The only thing that might stop him from killing again? The three women he murdered.
He hunted them online, masquerading as an eligible bachelor. Then he played the perfect gentleman, a thick layer of charm and a thousand-watt smile hiding the fact that his first dates end in shallow graves.
What James doesn’t know is that his three victims have found each other. And that they're coming for him.
Brecia, Meghan, and Skye might be dead, but they’re not gone. And they won’t rest until they find a way to keep him from killing again.
The haunt is on.

This is a brilliant read.
Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable.
Great suspense and found myself second guessing every thought I had continuously.
Can't wait to read what the author brings out next.
Recommend reading.

I was provided an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher. This is my own hone\st voluntary review

I saw this one on netgalley and thought it sounded interesting. I love books with a paranormal aspect, or told from the ghosts POV. This was a fun, quick read with short chapters and I was definitely into it.

We have 3 victims, Brecia, Skye and Meghan, who are the victims of serial killer James Carson. They want revenge, and want to stop him from murdering again! You get each girls POV of the murder, what happened after, the investigation and how each of them come together for the revenge. I'd say this is more of a character driven book. Some parts were on the slower side, but it didn't stop me from enjoying it. The ending was really good. If you like paranormal thrillers, you should definitely check this out!.

Thank you to the publisher, author, and netgalley for the gifted copy. All opinions are my own.

Thank you NetGalley, Xpresso Book Tours, and Dynamite Books for this e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This is the first book I've read by Noelle W. Ihli. I was fascinated by the description of Ask for Andrea, and was hooked from the first page. I've never read a book told from the murdered victims POV, instead of from the serial killer's POV. It was so unique. This was more of a modern twist, involved three alternating POVs from Brecia, Skye, and Meghan. The pacing, writing, and character development was excellent. This book had my heart-pounding, my anxiety up as the suspense just kept piling up! I will say I felt like I was going to cry during some parts of this book because I really felt deeply for what happened to these women and what their family members went through.

This book may trigger those who have lost a loved one in a tragic way and there are descriptions of the deceased that are a little graphic

Highly recommend for all thriller lovers! If you liked the book, The Lovely Bones, you will definitely like this one! It reminded me a little bit of that book, but with a modern twist. I will definitely read more from Noelle W. Ihli!

I will post my review to my Instagram @thrillersandcoffee

I first picked up this book because I was intrigued by premise as well as the cover. And boy did it live up to my expectations! The story is told from the viewpoints of each woman, Brecia, Meghan, and Skye. We get to know them, how they lived, how they were killed, and also how they dealt with their deaths. It took a bit to not mix them up but once I did the story flew.

I felt their anger and hopelessness in their deaths. I was elated when detectives discovered each of their bodies and slowly the chase for James by the police was started. I disliked James but with each new thing I learned about him, my dislike grew. He was a villain I loved to hate!
The ending wasn’t quite a happy one but I can’t say that it wasn’t just. This book just cemented the fact of how on guard women have to be, because predators are always on the lookout for an opening.

Thank you to Xpresso Book Tours, Dynamite Books, and Netgalley for a copy of the book! I can’t wait to buy a copy for myself.

Ask for Andrea by Noelle W. Ihli.
A brilliant read. I loved the story. I love ghosts stories. 3 women murdered by the same killer. Can they stop him from killing again? I loved the cover. This was a unique story. 5*.

I love a good ghost story and I love thrillers so the fact that the author made all my dreams come true.....stellar! You will not be able to put this book down until you finish, you become so invested in each "ghosts' story that it's just a matter of holding on tight until the end. This is a very unique read and the author definitely out-did herself! Excellent read!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK and couldn’t recommend it enough!!!

I read a lot of crime fiction and at times they can become one big repetitive blur but Ihli’s novel broke the mould with this one!

Ihli creates three strong female protagonists each with their own individual and unique voice and foists them on a nerve wracking journey against the devious and diabolical James Carson and you’re screaming and shouting right along with them until the very last page!

What a unique concept that kept me on the edge of my seat and biting the fingers off my hands, never mind my nails! Wow - just wow!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really, REALLY enjoyed this book. It was realistic (unfortunately), unique, and modern without excessive pop culture references, which is a hard feat to achieve. I'm a sucker for multiple POV stories in general, and this one did not disappoint. Each main character was easy to root for and relate to, and I particularly appreciated how these POVs followed the three victims and didn't try to romanticize or glamorize the murderer. I especially think that having the main characters be ghosts was a unique and daring way to portray this story, and while I'm usually picky about paranormal elements, I thought it was done really well here. The overall story also conveyed such a wide range of emotions, came perfectly full-circle, and was excellent from start to finish (I read the entire thing in almost one sitting). I can't recommend this original, badass thriller enough, and am so incredibly excited to see what Noelle W. Ihli writes next!

I absolutely loved this story! I was immediately hooked from the beginning and was on the edge of my seat toward the end. This story is unique, thrilling and heartbreaking. I really enjoyed the perspectives of the victims and going along with them on their ghost journey. This was a perfect mix of paranormal and thriller elements and I devoured every bit of it. Brecia, Meghan and Skye were all characters I cared about and I felt so bad that they were dead. It was great how they navigated their ghostly existence while trying to get justice. If you enjoy thrillers that make you anxious (in a good way!) and ghosts - you MUST read this!

A serial killer who has gotten away with murder three times, is now being haunted by the same women whose life’s he took.

𝗠𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦
-Multiple POVs: there were three different pov’s, each corresponding to one of the victims. One in particular, I found it to be boring and monotonous. The other two, showed more emotion so it was easier to connect with them and feel more engaged with their storylines.
-Mixed pacing: the pacing fluctuated between fast and slow depending on who was narrating the story. So there might be some chapters that result more dynamic and engaging than others.
-Show not tell: I feel that not a lot happened throughout the book. As readers, we follow the ghosts of the dead women who fell prey to this serial killer, and them being dead, there’s not much they can really do. Or is there?
-Another realm: I won’t go into detail about this because, you know, spoilers. But let’s say there is a sort of dreamy realm I didn’t care much about. Being honest, I could have done without it. It took away the sense of gloominess I expected in a book with dark subject matter like this.
-Seamless: when I first started reading this book, I didn’t know how the “ghosts” would cross paths. And when they finally did, I thought it was very seamlessly done.
-Happy ending: saying this feels spoilery, but for such injustices lived by these women, it was somewhat satisfying seeing some resemblance of justice being served.

It’s not like I wanted to read about extremely horrendous stuff and a murderer getting away with his unspeakable acts, but I did want something darker out of this book. That being said, I did enjoy my time reading this medium pace paranormal thriller. It kept me intrigued almost all throughout the book and it made me root for most of its protagonists.

Do I recommend it? If you like your thrillers with some paranormal elements, then yes!

Ask for Andrea is a unique tale of three women, post mortem, seeking justice on their murderer. Told in multiple timelines, through multiple POV’s. Throughout the story we find that the female victims, in the form of spirits or ghosts, have various things in common, but what truly binds them, is what binds all women, in that they are not responsible for the violence of men. The timelines and women bridge together as they learn from their pasts, try and protect others and ultimately rest peacefully. Definitely a powerful read, unfortunately for me, the narrative fell flat. The language felt a little underwhelming, monotone and somewhat predictable. Ihli created an imaginative twist on this genre, and while telling such significant feminine experiences, I was craving a bit more passion, vengeance, rage! Still an important story, and I think the vocabulary could potentially reach wider, younger audiences which makes it successful in other ways. Def worth a read!

THE SUSPENCE!

I finished this in a day, I had just had to know what happened.

This book shows you the worst-case scenario of online dating, the fear that many people have in the back of their head on some of their dates, “What if my they try to murder me?”.

Hot garbage excuse for a human, James, prowls Matchstrike, an online dating service, hunting for victims. He has no idea that he is being hunted, or rather haunted, as well.

Breccia, Meghan, and Skye were caught in James’ lies, and paid the ultimate price. The three are now in limbo, wanting to “move on” but not wanting to let James hurt anyone else.

I really liked how the ghosts’ abilities were described and handled. It was unique to me.

There was much needed emphasis on how the murders of women are viewed and often mishandled in general, but especially women of color. The author took care to give these victims respect and not shame them in any way.

This had a surprisingly touching take on the afterlife, processing grief, and female solidarity. I found myself feeling like the characters, unable to look away and needing to see it through to the end.

Overall this was a roller coaster of emotions, that I would gladly ride again and will be recommending to all of my friends.

Check it out, when it hits shelves, 4/15/22!

A big thanks to the Publisher & NetGalley for gifting me a digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I am so thankful to NetGalley for being given the chance to read an advanced copy of Ask For Andrea. The cover immediately reeled me in and the synopsis sounded like something completely different from my typical thriller taste. This book, which follows three murder victims haunting their aggressor, reminded me of a more adult theme of The Lovely Bones- one of my favorite books! This story had me hooked from the very first chapter and I really loved the entire thing. I was thrilled, I was scared, I was happy, I was sad; it had such a wide range of emotions throughout.
The only suggestion I would make on its publishing is that horror does not seem to be the main genre here. To me, this is a paranormal crime suspense with horror splashed in. If you are not someone who regularly reads horror or you're nervous around the genre, DO NOT let this book's classification deter you! This book would make an absolutely amazing film or tv adaptation and I really hope it gets a ton of hype over the coming weeks! I can't wait for more from this author!

I loved the strong female characters and it was interesting to read from ghosts’ perspectives. This book has short chapters and will have your heart racing the whole time you read it.

I requested this one because it might be an upcoming title I would like to review on my Youtube Channel. However, after reading the first several chapters I have determined that this book does not suit my tastes. So I decided to DNF this one.

I've never read anything like this before. I'm usually not really into these types of books, however, once I got used to the idea (a couple of chapters in), it truly was a fun and exciting read.

The premise is quite interesting. What if you get murdered but you still remain behind? What if you could follow the murderer and see what he is up to without being able to interfere? This book follows three victims of a murderer in three different timelines; two years ago, one year ago, and now. Slowly and gradually the timelines come together and the victims meet. From there, the story evolves quite rapidly.

It is a thrilling and exciting read! Definitely not what I had expected when reading the short description and the first few chapters. The author is very capable of incorporating flashbacks between the three timelines to tell the complete story. This was at first a bit difficult but you quickly got used to it.

I am a sucker for multiple POVs. Throw in POVs from ghosts and I’m in! I adored The Lovely Bones back when I was a young adult and have been searching for that same type of feeling ever since. And this totally nailed it!

We get the POV from 3 women who were murdered by the same man over the course of a few years. We see them come to terms with their death as well as them trying to come together and prevent him from doing it again.

I loved everything about this and will definitely be reading more from this author!

Thank you Netgalley & Dynamite books for an eARC of Ask for Andrea! I absolutely loved this book and binged it - I'll be recommending it to all of my bookish friends this spring before and after pub day.

James Carson - a handsome and charming man, has gotten away with murder three times. What's going to stop him from doing it again, you ask? Well, the three women he murdered. Did you read that right? yes, you did. This story alternates between the POVs of the three dead women that James has murdered. Short chapters, alternating POVs each with their own unique background and story, I absolutely devoured the chilling tale until the very end. I don't typically enjoy books that are from the POV of someone beyond the grave, but this was executed perfectly in my eyes.

This book was suspenseful to me but also got me thinking a lot about what happens when we do pass away, and the author did a great job displaying different emotions and the process of grief via loved ones who are experiencing loss. One of my favorite things is when the title of a book fits so perfectly in to the story - And this one did on two occasions. I'll say no more other than pre-order this now. Extremely well done Noelle W. Ihli!

Ask for Andrea
Noelle W. Ihli

Ask for Andrea follows three girls who have all been murdered by the same man.
Each girl has their own story to tell and seem to be in limbo.

I loved this book. I couldn’t put it down. Brecia, Meghan and Skye are the determined spirits. We get to jump back and forth between characters and time. I loved that we got to learn so much about the girls and even their murderer. And when they finally meet, they’re a force to be reckoned with.

This book is an excellent thriller. It’s a page turner. If you want to read a thriller that is different from the rest and will hold your attention, you need to pre-order this today. Available 4/15/2022.

Thank you NetGalley and Dynamite Books for an advanced copy of this book.

A powerful book narrated by 3 murdered women who are telling their story after their brutal murders by the same man. I loved how this book is divided up with each woman telling their story and how they cope with their death. I particularly enjoyed Brecia's as she tries desperately to save other ladies from the same fate as her as she haunts her murderer endlessly. A powerful and moving read and a sombre reminder to women to be careful with meeting strangers and never leaving drinks unattended. I was rooting so much for these 3 throughout the book for justice to be served. A clever and fresh book.
