First of all, Ask For Andrea is so damn delicious and binge worthy! I literally read it from start to finish in less than a 12 hour period.
In Ask For Andrea we follow Brecia, Meghan, and Skye. Three women who have been murdered but aren't quite as gone as the online predator James Carson thought. When the spirits of these women find each other they become a force James never saw coming. With heartbreaking situations and ice cold justice, Ask For Andrea is the perfect story of revenge from beyond the grave.
Did I mention how freaking good this book was? I was pulled under the spell of this hypnotic story from very early on. I went through so many emotions from heartbreak during the girls deaths, to a dark thrill when the girls finally decide to take revenge. This book was just so effing good, putting it down was not an option.
Ask For Andrea is a dark and exciting experience that will captivate you completely and leave you breathless.
On a date that isn’t going well? Ask for Andrea at the bar.
Brecia, Meghan and Skye have two things in common: they were all three murdered by the same man and their spirits have stayed on Earth to haunt and bring James Carson to justice.
Talk about some bad-ass girl power. This is by far one of my favorite books so far this year. It honestly did not wait to jump into the action. From the very first page, I was hooked. Throughout reading I was never bored and the three different point of views never confused me and the writing was just fun. I was so engaged in this story from the beginning that I didn’t want to put it down. The way that the three girls bonded together and did everything in their power to stop James from continuing to ruin women’s lives and especially the lives of his wife, April and their two young daughters. This book made me laugh, made me cry, made me think and sometimes made me sick to my stomach. I’ve never read anything by Noelle W. Ihli before but this paranormal thriller is a page turned for sure, and I can’t wait to jump into her other work.
A unique twist on a haunting! This book was so fun! I flew through it! I loved the premise and the writing style. I like the alternating chapters with the different girls.
James Carson hunts for his victims online pretending to be the perfect guy. He would wine and dine them and then kill them on their first date. He murdered three women so far. What’s stopping him from continuing? The three women he murdered.
Brecia, Meghan, and Skye found each other and together they plan on stopping James from killing again.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this arc in exchange for my honest review.
"He was the kind of beautiful that drew you in before you even considered the fact that beautiful things can be poisonous."
I stayed up several hours after my bedtime reading this; I could not put it down. It was so good. A completely unique and original story. A fresh and engulfing spin on the serial killer thriller. The characters quickly became friends with one common enemy. I wanted him caught and punished as much as they did and the suspense in that gripped me. The writing was superb.
Among the suspense, there was also beauty, emotion, and deep character developmental that will stick with me long after I finished this. It's hope in an otherwise macabre, cold-blooded, and tragic situation. But I also want to warn readers: if you've lost a loved one in mysterious and/or tragic circumstances, missing or found, this will trigger you. If you've been raped or sexually assaulted, this will trigger you.
I really loved this book from the first page i was hooked. I loved the idea of a serial killer book but told in the perspective of the victims. I found it fresh and also heartbreaking for the 3 poor girls and what happen to them. I got a good sense of who they where and my heart broke for them. i could at times feel there anger and then desperation. I also felt there hatred for this man that took there lives away. i loved the glimpses of him and that Brecia was haunting him wanting to stop it from happening to someone else but being in some ways powerless to stop it.
I wish we had a little more about James and what made him tick a more through back story we find out some things at the end but i wish for a more complete picture of how he became such a monster and if Brecia was really his first victim something screams that she wasn't but that could just be me.
I loved The look at memories and what the after life for someone in there situation can be and what is waiting after they get the justice they deserve.
Very well written and a blast from start to finish and also a quick read i got through it in about a day and a half. will definitely be checking out more of her work soon.
Ask for Andrea by Noelle W. Ihli
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
"Brecia, Meghan, and Skye might be dead, but they’re not gone. And they won’t rest until they find a way to keep him from killing again."
James Carson, “a dead ringer for Chris Hemsworth, with his dark amber eyes, angular jaw, and hard part haircut” is every woman’s dream guy. He is thoughtful, funny, listens intently, shows interest, but what they don’t know is that the guy they met is a murderer.
James has gotten away with murder three times. “He hunted his victims online masquerading as an eligible bachelor. Then he played the perfect gentleman, a thick layer of charm and a thousand-watt smile hiding the fact that his first dates end in shallow graves.”.
James has three victims already and is still on the hunt for more. What James doesn’t know is that his three victims have found each other. And that they’re coming for him.
But can Brecia, Meghan, and Skye stop James before he kills again?
———-
“When I caught my first glimpse of, well, I still didn’t know what to call it-my soul? My spirit? My echo?-it was sort of like looking at my reflection in a mirror. I wasn’t wafting in the breeze or anything. I wasn’t see-through. I just wasn’t alive anymore.”
Ask For Andrea is told from the perspective of each of these three girls who were killed by James and are now ghosts. It jumps between the past and the present so, as a reader, we learn how each girl is killed and ultimately how they all end up meeting one another in the present. This isn’t your typical ghost story though, this book draws you in very quickly and takes you on an emotional rollercoaster that you would have never expected.
Ask For Andrea includes a unique plot that was executed flawlessly. The character development was simply amazing and each of these young girls’ stories was beautifully written. This is a thriller that you won’t want to put down but after you do, you’ll realize it also warmed your heart in the process.
I have rated this book 5 out of 5 stars.
Ask For Andrea is scheduled to be released on April 15, 2022 and can be preordered on Amazon. Don’t wait for this book, preorder it now so you can start reading it the moment it’s released!

Solid 4.5/5 stars
Spoiler free review!
This book absolutely surprised me in the best way. When I first heard the premise, I was intrigued. Ghosts tend to be hit or miss for me, especially in horror. To me ghosts often come off as cheesy and pull me out of the plot, but I was really hoping this would be a hit.
And boy was it.
From the first few pages, I was instantly hooked in what turned into a brutal, heart pounding, page turning thrill ride of a story. Told in three alternating perspectives of the three young victims of a serial killer as they try to prevent him from causing more harm, this book blew me away. Three very different characters, three very different stories, all united by their shared trauma. Brecia, Meghan, and Skye all had their distinct voices and I felt compelled to read each one of their stories.
Excited to read more by Noelle Ihli! She certainly knows how to write a thriller!
*I received an ARC from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions and views in this review are my own.
I am floored by how good this was! I ended up staying awake way too late to finish but it was worth it! Absolutely loved this
"Ask for Andrea" is Noelle Ihli’s latest book and while her debut, “The Thicket” was a slasher horror, she leaned much more into the paranormal thriller realm for this one. It’s always fun to follow authors as they flex their talents by writing across genres and I applaud Ihli for trying something different with this book. Where "Thicket" was a fast-paced, plot driven nail biter, Ihli slows it down with "Andrea" and gives us a more intimate experience with characters, as the ghosts of three murdered women go after their killer.
I actually really enjoyed how different this book was than her first. We get the perspectives of three different women, (Brecia, Skye and Meghan), who have all been murdered by Ted Bundy(ish) killer James Carson. We spend a lot of time with each woman from her murder, the subsequent investigation of the murder and eventual collision into each other’s storyline. I found the characters compelling and tragic. This book had substance and dealt a lot with identity, perception and death. Despite being a more character driven story, it still moved pretty quickly. There were a few parts that stretched a bit long for my personal taste, but the slower build paid off with an intense end. I especially loved the full-circle moment with Andrea. Overall, this is another solid piece from Ihli that will appeal to the more thriller loving fans out there. 3.5 stars
I recently connected with Noelle W. Ihli, on bookstagram and was happy to participate in the cover reveal for "Ask for Andrea" . I had no idea that I would be granted the opportunity to read and review this book before the big release! I am so beyond grateful and honored to have been given this opportunity.
To be honest, I had never heard of Ihli before but I will tell you that now that I do; I will never let her out of my sight! As soon as I concluded Ask for Andrea, I went back and downloaded The Thicket (holy good God almighty, did this book scare the life out of me)
Ask for Andrea, is a quick read that is jam packed with suspense and nail biting fear at every corner. This is definitely a psychological thriller but it does incorporate some horror as well and I was completely consumed by this.
This is a book you need to read with the lights on.
My pulse raced the entire time. There was no way I could put this book down, I had to know what was to come. If you plan on reading this, you need to clear your schedule for the day.
I highly, highly, highly recommend everyone head on over to Amazon and pre-order yourself a copy. Ask for Andrea hits the shelves April 15, 2022 and I promise you, you do not want to miss this!
PS- while you are waiting, I highly recommend you check out The Thicket, out now!!!!
This is the second book by this author I have read. I really enjoyed this book due to the subject as well as the POV. This was about a serial killer that would have got away with it had it not been for the dead girls finding each other. They begin a campaign to get him arrested and charged with their murders. What ensues is a heartfelt journey through each of the girls view. I was incredibly emotional as I read this book. This author is amazing at bringing the reader into the story and not letting go until the incredible end.
Ask for Andrea
By Noelle W. Ihli
James is very handsome. James is very charming. James is a killer.
Three of his victims haven't crossed over yet. One follows him to try to prevent this from happening to anyone else. Another waits until a detective finds her body and follows her. The third girl goes home to her mom. The story is told from each of their POVs. As the story progressed they end up meeting one another and finding out they have one commonality. They were murdered by the same man. They work together to save his family and get justice for their murders.
I absolutely recommend this book!!! It was unique in that it was told from the deceased's POV. The author did a wonderful job writing this story. It flowed beautifully. She handled the sensitive topics very well. I read fast but finished it in one day!

Such a fresh take on the serial killer/ghost story. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
The story follows 3 different girls at different times but winds them together for a perfect finale. I'd have liked to see them be able to "haunt" our antagonist a bit more. But other than that I found it very enjoyable.
James Carson has gotten away with murder three times.
The only thing that might stop him from killing again? The three women he murdered.
This story is told from the perspective of 3 different women who were murdered by James Carson. They have passed over to the other side but through them we learn what happened to them and the fall out of their deaths. This isn't the type of book I would normally read but the blurb caught my attention and I am glad I requested it.
These young women are out to stop this maniac from killing anyone else and for revenge. Initially they do not realise that there other girls out there like them, once they find out the three band together to make change in a young family's life, that of the killer. They want to protect his wife and young girls from the horror they believe he is about to inflict on them.
I enjoyed this book from the first page, definitely a different take on a story with ghosts focused as some of the main characters. If you are looking for something a little different give this a try, I am sure you will not be disappointed. Thank you to Netgalley, the author and publisher for a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
Ask for Andrea was such an entertaining read! I went in thinking it was going to be a really creepy/scary story about a serial killer. But for me, it was more emotional than scary. There are absolutely some thrilling moments but this book is so much more than just a typical serial killer novel. I really enjoyed it and hope many other readers will, too!
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the digital ARC. All opinions expressed are completely my own.
⭐⭐⭐.5/5
• three fierce female MCs/narrators
• mystery leading up to vengeance
• quick read (short chapters at 272 pages)
So right off the bat, this book is different because of our main characters (not a spoiler because it's in the synopsis: they're dead!) I found them and their stories to be interesting. I enjoyed the first part of the book where we learned how they died. I wish we had more time with them pre-death. It got a little repetitive but the ending was satisfying. Looking forward to reading this author's other book, The Thicket!
“James Carson has gotten away with murder three times…Brecia, Meghan, and Skye might be dead, but they’re not gone. And they won’t rest until they find a way to keep him from killing again.”
I absolutely loved this one. Could not put it down. I was sucked in from page one.
The dead narrators, the alternating first person accounts, the suspense…everything about this had me hooked. I was fully entranced in the story until the very last page.
The suspense of waiting to find out if James’ victims got justice, if he murdered again, or if he simply disappeared into a cabin in the woods with his wife and daughters and lived happily every after made this a five star read.
It wasn’t predictable, it wasn’t overly dramatic, and although the narrators were dead, it wasn’t super unrealistic. I would recommend this without reservation to EVERYONE.
The storyline of being a woman on a date with a man who seems trustworthy in public, just to show his true nature once he’s alone with you hits home for so many women. It also serves as a reminder to men that women aren’t stupid or helpless or unaware of what a man might be capable of and that we live our lives on guard for this exact reason.
Ask for Andrea is quite possibly my favorite read so far this year. RUN, don’t walk to your local independent bookstore on April 15th to grab your copy of this phenomenal book.
Thank you to Netgalley and Dynamite Books for gifting me an advance readers copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I really enjoyed this one! It had a similar vibe to The Lovely Bones. The characters were great and I was invested in their story. April was such a strong character in the end and I loved what she did. It was a super quick read as well! I loved the way the title played a part in the story as well. Such a well written book!
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this novel. I am not usually fond of books with more than two POV’s, but this book was the better for it. The multiple POV’s and timelines were done well and it didn’t pull me out of the story at all, like it usually does. It actually helped to propel the storyline forward at a great pace and kept things interesting.
This book was well written and I was impressed with how well the author was able to thoroughly tell the story through the perspective of the three deceased women despite their limitations.
I loved this book and will read more by this author.
Thank you Net Galley and Dynamite Books for the digital arc in exchange for my honest review which is not affiliated with any brand.
This is most deff not a usual kind of read for me. But the feminism in this just caught my eye. Am I allowed to cuss on here. I hope so because I said "fuck yeah" and " good for her ". I loved this book and will recommend this.
