Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me access to the free advanced digital copy of this book.
Something sort of halfway between a beginning chapter book and a graphic novel. It relies a fair amount on text to relay the story but the plot is easy enough to follow.
I had a tough time putting this book down. Life for these two friends was simple enough until one day a new family moved into their house. They couldn’t stand all the noises they brought with them so it looked like these friends needed to find a way to get rid of them. What follows are many clever attempts that all end in failure. Eventually their plan is a success but after a short while they fear they may have made a big mistake. Most people will have a lot of fun reading this book.
A very cute early reader graphic novel that is just the right amount of silly and heart warming. I love the artwork and am now huge fans of Phyllis and Sheldon. I love how they realized that caring is better than scaring.
It's shades of 'Beetlejuice' when a new family moves into the house currently occupied by Phyllis the ghost, and Sheldon the snake. Will they manage to scare the interlopers off, or learn to love living with the newcomers?
It's a sweet, fun story with adorable illustrations by the author.
