This book was absolutely stunning. About Time is one of my all time favourite films and this was finally like a book like it. The feels, the questions, the journey. I loved it so much. This book was very sweet and whimsical and exactly what I needed. I am so excited to see what is next from this author. I know I will be rereading this book before too long.

Skip to the end is an interesting take on the romance genre - what if you could “see” the end of your relationship with someone the first time you kissed?

It’s a fun and light hearted read. I guess the ending very early on which made me a tad impatient to see if I was right. I would recommend it as a light beach read. This book won’t change your life but it will keep you entertained from the first page to the last.

A quick and easy read that I found myself picking up after a long day to unwind. The characters are beautifully written and I came to love them within the first few pages and was rooting for them all the way to the end. At times I wanted to stop reading because I just wanted the experience to go on for longer.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

It's a funny story that made me smile and root for Amy. Being able to see the final part of a relationship can be quite a curse and I liked how the author dealt with the impact on Amy's life and how she delivered a compelling story.
Funny, well plotted and romantic.
Recommended.

Amy Daniels has the rare ability to foresee the future of a relationship through a single kiss. Despite trying for years to change what her premonition warns her, it seems the fate of the relationship is always sealed. When one of her best friends gets married, Amy gets drunk and kisses three different men at the reception. Two of them are her usual romantic dead ends. But one is... THE ONE. If only she could remember which of the three men it was. Or even who the three men were!

I was immediately drawn into this story with lovable characters and a hint of magic. I really loved the banter between the friends in this story. May, Jay, Charlotte, and Gareth each felt fully fleshed out as a character. I really enjoyed the themes of friendship throughout the entire book. There's also a very moving story involving Amy's mum, and her early-onset dementia.

As for the romance... Well. I pretty much guessed the HEA person immediately, and spent the rest of the book screaming at Amy to remember/realise (IYKYK 😉) but, rather than it frustrating me, I was just giddy with excitement for her to catch up. I think a lot of that was down to Molly James's excellent writing. She described Amy's heartache, confusion, and vulnerability with sensitivity, while still letting her be a capable woman. Amy's sense of humour also added to her appeal. I don't know if I could have coped, living with that gift. And I absolutely ADORED her HEA. He made me swoon on more than one occasion. I want to say so much more about him, but I don't want to spoil anything. But yes... 🥰

A gorgeous read. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, this book was a bit of a disappointment. It promise mystery, and you know who it is before she's even kissed the men. I did like the talk about dementia and Amy's interactions with her friend. Sadly, to me, the most underdeveloped was the love interest. Good idea, but execution could have been better.

Amy has an interesting hereditary ability - she can see how a relationship will end after the first kiss. She's enjoyed brief relationships knowing they won't end happily, and she's literally run away from men after the first kiss because she knows how things would progress! However, she now wants to settle down, but doesn't know if she will ever be able to. At ha friend's wedding, where she acts as bridesmaid, she is challenged to kiss 3 men, to see if she can find her long term partner. Comedy ensues when a drunk Amy does so, but cannot recall who her kisses were with - and one of them was the perfect t kiss, with the perfect relationship outcome. Can she find the man before it's too late?

A fun read, even if a tad predictable - it was quite obvious who the perfect kiss was with from very early on, but following Amy's journey to the revelation was amusing. I really liked her friendship group, and the relationship she had with her mother was very sweet.

I received an E-ARC with a request for my honest review.

This fun romance follows Amy Daniels, who has a gift which when she kisses someone for the first time, she gets a premonition on how their relationship will end. She is still looking to find her happy ever after premonition.

On the wedding day of one of her friends she has a bit too much to drink and ends up kissing 3 different men.

She wakes up to find that one of them showed a good ending, but she can’t remember who she kissed, so who could the mystery guy be?

She is determined to work out and with the help of her friends works through a list of possible men at the wedding.

Who did she kiss? Will she find the man she’s been looking for?

I found this really fun to read, and even if at times it got awkward it didn’t stay that way for long and had you moving on with Amy to the next guy who it might be. I don’t really think I can put down in words how much I enjoyed reading.

I loved the friendship group Amy has, and the relationship with the staff at her Mum’s care home. It brought a lot of a different kind of love to the storyline.

I’m torn about whether I would like to have Amy’s gift or not. In one way it would take out the anxiety behind the beginnings of a relationship, but on the other side that is part of the fun not knowing where it will go and developing that relationship.

Overall, a fun romance where Amy is determined to find the one for her.

This was not really for me. I really liked the premise and was looking forward to how the story would play out with the heroine figuring out who her happy ending was but it was fairly obvious when he was introduced so some of the “surprise’ element was taken out of it. The story was also very dialogue heavy which is not a style I enjoy and I found it difficult to connect with the characters. (2 ⭐️)

Amy Daniels has a unique gift – when she kisses someone for the first time, she can see how it’s all going to end up! Is there any wonder that she’s still single when she can see how where things will go! Up until now she’s only had bad endings, but at a friend’s wedding she drunkenly kisses three men and one of them is a happy ending! The problem is, she can’t remember which one of them it was!

This was a fun, light-hearted read with an unusual twist to it! Amy is a likeable character and I enjoyed following her story to find out who the mystery man was! It could only have been one of three men, but it wasn’t easy for her to find out which one of them it was! The storyline held my attention as I wondered, along with Amy, which one he was going to be! Of course, I had my suspicions but nonetheless I found myself happily entertained by Amy and her friends throughout the search!

It wasn’t all fun and giggles though, and there were some lovely tender moments throughout the book, particularly concerning Amy’s mum who was suffering from dementia. This was a lovely read - perfect as a summer holiday beach read, and I found the storyline surprisingly and refreshingly different! Full of interesting characters, laugh out loud moments and with plenty of romance, I would definitely recommend this book!

I made an unofficial vow to choose more romance/relationship books this year, and I have used the wonderful array of books offered by @netgalley to expand my options! I’m glad my choices led me to “Skip to the End”. It was fun, it was light-hearted. It may have been an anticipated outcome but that’s why I loved it! Amy comes from a long line of women who can tell in that first kiss if the relationship will be “the one”. Amy’s mother didn’t marry “the one” and tells her not to give up on finding the one person, but that she will also know the one when she finds him. The secondary story of Amy’s mother is bittersweet. She lives in a nursing home with the early signs of dementia; this book nicely highlights the necessity to cherish every relationship for what it is.

I loved Amy’s friends – they were as much her family as well a great group of pepe who had each other’s back, and really supported each other whole-heartedly. This was quite refreshing to read. I really wished there were visuals of the elaborate flower arrangements made by Gareth and of Jay’s outfits – the imagery provided was wonderful! The support that Amy’s friends also gave her with respect to her mum was also very endearing.

Thank you to NetGalley for giving me a copy to review.

I really enjoyed this story. It was mostly light-hearted apart from a sideplot about dementia, which was very well done. The supporting characters were all good and I enjoyed Amy's friendships as much as her quest to find out who she kissed at the wedding. It was predictable but I didn't mind that.

A quirky and fun romance, perfect for reading at the beach or on holiday. It's not groundbreaking when one is a heavy romance reader, but still rather enjoyable.

A fun read albeit quite predictable. However, the story is well written with some larger than life characters to add some spice to the the story.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for letting me read it.
I enjoyed this book. It was slightly obvious from the beginning who Amy would end up with, but it was still fun to read about all the other characters in her life. I liked how dedicated she was to her mother, and that her friendships supported them. May and Jay were delightful.
The story was fun and quirky and definitely entertaining. I would've liked to have seen a little bit more of what Amy's life with her HEA was like in an epilogue, but I guess it was hinted at, at the end there. .

Skip to the End is the story of Amy, who has a rather awkward gift: by kissing someone she can see how their relationship will end. It's resulted in her being perpetually single, even when the rest of her life is going so well. Then one night at her friend's wedding she drunkenly kisses three men and sees three futures: two bad and one perfect. The only problem is that Amy can't remember which future belongs to which man...

This was such a delightful premise for a romance novel. I thought it was so original and I loved how everything played out. Although it was slightly predictable and I did guess who The One was at the beginning, that didn't diminish my enjoyment of the actual story.

I adored the friendships and the relationship between Amy and her mum, they were all very sweet and realistic. I also really liked the relationship between Amy and her perfect man, although I do kind of wish it had been developed a little more.

All in all this was a cute and light-hearted romance novel, a perfect book to go to if you're in need of an easy, comfort read.

Many thanks to the publishers and Netgalley for an ARC.
