This book reminded me a bit of a book by Carrie Hope Fletcher. Beautiful in its own way though.
Three kisses. Two break ups. One happy ending...
Amy Daniels has a pretty nice life. Her career is on the up, she loves her friends, and she's about to buy her very own flat. On a good day, Amy could be described as a catch - so why is she perpetually single?
The trouble is, Amy can see something no one else can: the end. As soon as she kisses someone, she knows, in intimate, vivid detail, how their relationship will end. A screaming argument in the middle of the supermarket over milk. An explicit email sent to the wrong address. A hasty escape through a bathroom window on the second date. At the altar - runaway-bride style. There seems to be no end to the unhappy endings.
After years of trying, and failing, to change a pre-written future, Amy has given up. But then she drunkenly kisses three men at her best friend's wedding and sees three possible endings: two painful, one perfect. The problem is, Amy can't really remember who she kissed, and worse, what ending belongs to which person - the only thing she knows for certain is that she's determined to find out...
This novel will have you swirling with first date butterflies, crying with laughter and finally, brimming with joy. The perfect summer read for fans of Lindsey Kelk, Mhairi McFarlane and Sophie Cousens.
I really enjoyed this! I thought I knew where the plot was going and I was kind of right, kind of wrong. I won’t say too much because it is hard to talk about without giving anything away.
I really liked the premise and I enjoyed the characters and the friendships. I did like the romance but I don’t really have many thoughts on it. I think it was the friendships and Amy’s character in general that made this an enjoyable read for me.
Overall, I’m glad I picked this up.
A good fun read, did have an idea who the 'happy' ending was with but an enjoyable read while it got there.
One for the beach.
This book was so easy to read and I loved the characters. Amy is a young single women with the special gift of being able to see into her future when she kisses a man for the first time. After a drunken night at a friend’s wedding, she remembers that she had that ‘happy every after’ feeling after kissing a man the night before….but can’t remember who the man was! It was witty, funny and full of joy. A book not to be taken too seriously and would make perfect summer holiday reading.
This book was okay. I really struggled to get to the end and maintain concentration. Unfortunately, I think it was just not for me.
Thank you to the publisher for kindly providing me with an ARC via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
Firstly, I'd like the thank Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Aw, this book was such a cute book and was just what I needed. This book is a lovely easy read romance with a few little twists that keeps you guessing.
I enjoyed reading this book and I really loved the main characters and their friendship group and how they all had their own little lives but came together at each others time of need.
This book also had me laughing so much at the end and I loved the ending for Amy's mum, what a sweet woman she is. Her story really brought tears to my eyes.
It really had me thinking about how different my life could be if I would have known the ending at first kiss.
Overall I really enjoyed this book and would certainly read more from Molly James.
"Skip to the end" is a very appropriate title, not just because of what the character experiences but also because you find yourself wanting to skip to the end to find out what happens. Whilst reading this, I had to tell myself to slow down and enjoy the story as I was reading it so fast to find out what happened.
A really good enjoyable read.
This was a truly fun read! Proper light hearted and refreshing. The plot was well thought out and the idea for the novel was so imaginative.
I liked how the characters developed and was fascinated at the friendships formed. I was quietly rooting on the sidelines for Amy to find the one.. and actually didn't even guess it this time and I'm usually pretty good at working it out... so definitely a plus!!
It's nice to pick up a rom-com to read to get lost in someone else's path to love. This one ticked all the boxes and was even a tad emotional at times.
A must have read for any romance or chick-lit fans.. with summer just looming it's a great holiday read!
Thank you to Netgalley and the Publisher for the E-Arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
The women in Amy's family have a rare gift, they see how a relationship ends when they kiss a man for the first time. Amy doesn't see this as a gift, because it's made her jaded and she hasn't had a real relationship for some time.
On a dare, at her best friend's wedding, she kisses three different men and, obviously, has three different premonitions. Only one of the premonitions shows her a happy ending. Unfortunately Amy was so drunk, she can't remember who she kissed and which premonition goes with which man. So, she's found her Mr Right and now she only has to find out who it is.
I really liked the idea of the book, but it was pretty clear to me who Mr Right was from early on. With this mystery angle gone, the story was based on miscommunication; and that trope rarely works for me.
Reading the synopsis of this book really intrigued me and I was really excited to read this book. However, I was disappointed by how much I didn't enjoy this book. The premises of the story is really interesting but I had to force myself to get through chapters as I found it very slow and I didn't connect with any of the characters. This book just wasn't for me and I hope that someone else will have a better experience with it.
A fab fun read! A good storyline with well rounded characters sets the scene for a romantic fun read.
Amy is enjoying life but she has one problem… who did she have the premonition with after kissing that would end in a fairytale life? It kept me turning the pages.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in return for an honest opinion. It was an absolute pleasure.
This was a really enjoyable book. The plot was refreshing, and the idea was fun and well developed.
The characters are likeable and relatable and the pace was good. I knew the plot twist almost from the start, but that did not prevent my enjoyment of getting there.
It is a fun and light read, perfect for the oncoming summer time, something to read by the pool.
Such a quirky book with a slightly supernatural backdrop (premonitions) but very much a convincing and fun storyline. I loved this group of friends and how they come together for a wedding and Amy ends up in a dilemma of all dilemmas; unable to remember who she kissed when she got the premonition she's been waiting for her whole life. Very fun, romance novel with a touching undercurrent of trusting your intuition & what true love really means.
What a wonderful premise for a story. There was no way I could resist such an inventive plot idea. I wasn’t disappointed. I loved this book from the moment I started and enjoyed every bit. Highly recommend this for a bit of escapism. Thank you so much for allowing me to receive a copy of this book in return for an honest review on Net Galley.
Thank you to netgalley, quercus books and Molly James for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
I'd give this one 4 to 4.5 /5 stars because I can't really find anything wrong with it aside from i wish it had slightly more humour maybe. The premise of being able to predict a relationships end during the first kiss is definitely interesting part of me wishes I had that ability.
The description of the friends wedding sounded so beautiful I'm sad I'm one of those people who can't picture things in their head. The author has a talent for descriptions of settings that make you want to see it for yourself.
I immediately regretted starting this late at night because I became rather invested in the which guy is it mystery. I had a suspicion very early on who it would be but I was still surprised by the twists the story took. I enjoyed the way that the author showed Amy's struggle with dating just to find the happy ending despite knowing that he wasn't the guy for her. It gives the message that even with the ability to see how a relationship would end your gut instinct is still just as helpful.
The relationship between Amy and her mam was very sweet and the moment between the two at the end of the book made me want to call my own mam (even at 1am).
All in all this is cheerful romance with some really sweet moments and I'd recommend it to others. I think my mam would really enjoy this.
I really enjoyed this chick lit style book, the characters were great fun and I loved the storyline - once Amy kisses someone she can immediately see into their future together, one night she sees a future with someone but can’t remember who she kissed…. Really good fun, cute story, perfect read, highly recommend x
Thanks to Netgalley for an advanced copy x
What would you do if everytime you kissed someone, you had a premonition of how your relationship was going to end?
This is the 'gift' Amy has been equally blessed and cursed with. After too much to drink at her best friends wedding, she wakes up the morning after with a mixed mash of premonitions in relation to the 3 men she kissed the night before.
One of them is her HEA.
Only Amy can't remember who her perfect kiss was with......

This book was so good!
It was funny, cute and alittle bittersweet as Amy navigated through the trials and tribulations of finding the one whilst dealing with the emotional turmoil of a mother with dementia.
I thought the storyline was very clever and fresh.
I felt both sympathy and envy for Amys gift.
I'm sure everyone deep down would love the option of knowing wether their relationship was going to last, or if they're better off sacking it off now before it ends badly 😂 I will say, atleast it saved her from some heartbreaks she had coming her way!
I really enjoyed this feel good romance. It was witty and playful with some completely loveable characters. You will become completely invested in Amy finding her HEA!
My only wish would have been an epilogue into the future! I am a sucker for them and am always disappointed when my romance books don't have one! So for that reason, it's a 4/☆☆☆☆☆ read for me.
A lighthearted, funny, and at times emotional, story about Amy Daniels on her quest to find ‘the one’.
Amy has a strange physic ability to to see how a relationship will end once she kisses a man. After some crazy visions, she remains single. Then, at her best friends wedding, Amy has a little too much to drink and ends up finding ‘the one’, however, there are three men, and two possible bad outcomes. Amy’s problem is she can’t remember who she kissed and who will be her happy ending.
Skip to the end is a beautifully written book with characters you will instantly fall in love with! I couldn’t put this book down and was hooked from the start to the end! A definite must read for all romcom lovers and a perfect summer read!
Thank you to Quercus Books and Netgalley for the approval of this book - I can’t wait to read more from Molly James!
This was a quick and fun read for me and i loved the concept of this book and feel like more books should have some elements of this within them.
I would definitely recommend this book to others readers out there who are looking for a fun read like this one.
Thank you NetGalley for approving me for an arc of this book.
Whenever Amy kisses a new guy, she is blessed (or cursed?) with her family's psychic ability to have a vivid premonition of how that relationship will end. Partying waaaaaay too hard at her best friend, Charlotte's, wedding, she drunkenly kisses three men and has three different premonitions: one of which is The One. Struggling with a horrific hangover and a very fuzzy memory of the night before, she sets out to find out the identity of the three men she kissed and is on a mission to find out which ending belongs to which guy.
The fun plot and playful storytelling hooked me straight away. Amy's surrounded by an entertaining group of friends who have been close since high school and their dynamic in their now 30s is full of witty banter, which made the book an even more lovable read. As a group, they are all trying to help Amy on her hunt for The One, and they constantly help drive the story forward with possible clues and theories. Her relationship with her Mum, and her dementia, fuelled the heartwarming moral of the story to focus on the present and embrace what we have right now, rather than focusing on where life could take us.
A really enjoyable read with such a cool plot! Loved it!
