The plot of this story is what drew me to this book. I also like the cover of this book. However whilst I was reading the book I did find it quite confusing to keep up what was going on.
I have received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Honestly, this was weird. Okay, wait, let me dive into why though. I think it's a language barrier really because of where Today Tomorrow Never is set. In this, you will meet Camelia. Now she's in college but it felt like high school (to me). Then someone explained to me that in other countries college is consider high school and university is considered college. Which, yes, made things much easier to understand.
Other than that, the overall mystery was pretty entertaining. The one thing that probably would have made this a bit more enjoyable is if I had a character to really connect to or even like. Unfortunately, that didn't end up happening and I just sort of waited to see what the outcome would be.
In the end, it definitely had potential to be something better in my eyes. I'm honored that I got the chance to jump into this because I was pretty excited to read it. I'll have to see what else Sherlina comes up with.
I tried again to get through this and it was still pretty impossible. Everything sounded so exciting, the synopsis was intriguing and the cover drew me in right away. All excitement went away from the first few pages. Unfortunately, the writing style is just not strong enough to be published yet.
*Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.*
The synopsis really drew me in, but like most other reviews, it really fell flat. I hate to have a DNF on my list, but I just couldn't do it. This is a psychological thriller, and maybe I was expecting it to go somewhere else? I don't know, but it just wasn't for me.
The plot to this story is what drew me to thia book. The cover is very beautiful also. However, while I was reading the book at time I felt confused and having a hard time to keep up what was going on. At the end of the book is where the things were made clear, but you have to wait until the very end for it to all make sense.
I really wanted to like this book. I liked the premise and it had real potential but I just found it impossible to get through it and finally gave up after approximately one third. In. I had rec’d another copy from the author that was supposedly better edited but it wasn’t. I think this author has a good imagination and,as I said, I believe there’s a pretty decent story buried in all the bad editing but it was impossible to stay involved when I was rewriting it in my head. As a result, I won’t be posting this review on other sites. But I would like to thank Netgalley and the author for the opportunity to read this book.
Phew! It wasn't me who couldn't get into Today, Tomorrow & Never by Sherlina Idid. I really tried but this book wasn't for me. Sorry. However, the cover was beautiful and caught my eye. Simple but eye catching.
I had to DNF this book a little less than halfway through. I really like thrillers so I was really excited to read! Unfortunately, I couldn’t keep the plot straight and I was very confused. I really tried to push through, but I was just too lost to go any further in the book.
While I loved the synopsis of this book and thought I would adore it, sadly it fell flat for me. It was a DNF - I got about 1 / 3 of the way through and while it had immense potential, it just wasn't what I thought for a thriller type genre. Some of it seemed a bit dystopian or fantasy which isn't my forte. But I appreciate the chance to read this so much! Just some fine tuning needs to be done.
dnf at 100 pages. I liked the synopsis of this book. I love psychological thrillers, and I haven't found many in the YA genre, so this seemed super exciting. A plane crash, mysterious occurrences, and phenomenons? Cool. But this was just confusing. It's like this book wanted to be a Groundhog Day book, things kept resetting randomly but some things stayed. Maybe if I was able to continue it I'd get answers, but I can't get through it. I don't like the writing style.
