The Billionaire's Single Mom is the third book about the Durand brothers. You can read this as a stand alone, I did and it was still easy to follow and enjoy. The characters are easy to follow and the flow of the book is perfect.
Another great story from Leslie North.
Gui Laurent is not going to fall for his grandfather's interfering ways, he will complete this task without falling in love unlike his two brothers.
Riley has one aim in life, winning custody of her late sisters small twins, their father is only interested in them to get access to their trust funds. Through her family connections to Guis grandfather Gui is sent to take the case pro bono.
Unfortunately they have to work together and there are little sparks everywhere but both are determined to stay strong.
This was a great book, the characters well sculpted although I felt the end was a bit rushed but still an enjoyable book.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this book in return for an honest review.
cute, sweet and short. I was just looking for something to break through a slump, for a quick and easy read, and this did that well.
3 generous stars for this read. I struggled a bit with the third person POV writing style but stopped noticing after a while. I loved Riley and her entire backstory. It was clear that she adored her niece and nephew and would do anything for them. Gui was a harder to figure out because I felt as though his character development was lacking a bit. There wasn’t a lot of insight into who he was and his background, aside from the little tidbits we got about his upbringing with his grandfather.
There was so much potential for drama and tension in this read but it fell a little flat. I expected more surrounding the custody battle and the twins’ horrible human being of a father. I felt the inevitable break up that happened in the latter part of the story was quite anti-climactic. I was happy to see that both characters acknowledged their mistakes and were willing to fess up and make it right. The ending was sweet and I was pleased with the HEA!
One component of the story that I struggled with was the fact that Allison, one of the twins, had dialogue that was completely unrealistic for a child her age. It was almost as though the author had not been around toddlers before. The way Liam, the other twin, was written was more realistic. Allison was speaking in full sentences throughout the book, which is not likely for a child her age.
When I think of romance, I think of books just like this one, that gives all the feels and satisfies every romance junkies' heart. This is a perfect books to snuggle up with on any day. North is one of the best.
A cute quick read. Predictable but enjoyable and perfect for this genre. It has made me want to read the others in the series although perfect to read as a standalone
i had a hard time getting into this one. i just don't think this authors writing style is for me. i think it has a great concept and others might still like though
A big thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I know that this is part of a series, maybe the 3rd and final. But it reads well as a stand alone. Gui's grandfather is matchmaking, and it is his turn. Guillaume is a lawyer who take a pro bono case...meet Riley a beautiful, clumsy aunt who wants to adopt her sisters twins. I found the twins to be different, Allison talks in complete sentences and Liam just grunts?? That seemed unusual. Interesting people and a nice story. 3 stars
This is the last book of the series. Gui is the youngest of the brothers and he has always had a hard time showing emotions. Gui is a very successful lawyer who has just been given a pro bono custody case by his grandfather. As soon as he meets Riley, the aunt to the twin two year olds, he knows that this will not be a usual case for him. Riley has been a mom to the two twins ever since her older sister was sick with cancer and ended up dying shortly after being diagnosed. Her sister wish was for Riley to raise the twins and have full custody. Their biological dad was never in their life and is a scum bag. While Gui gets to know Riley for the case a little piece of his heart gets stolen every time he is with her and the twins. Will he be able to win this case and Riley’s heart? I was given an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
The final book in the Durand Billionaire Brothers trilogy brings us the story of the last brother, Guillaume (Gui). If you've read the previous books, you know that each brother does his penance for being involved in a bar brawl and bringing scandal to the family name. The other two brothers found their loves while doing their community service and Gui is positive that matchmaking was part of his grandfather's plan when deciding the punishment. Well, Gui is on to him and is determined not to fall under the spell of the woman to which he will be providing legal assistance. Easier said than done. Riley is a strong, hardworking woman and she is trying to get custody of her sister's children who she has been caring for since her sister passed away. The father only wants custody since the children now have trust funds which he wants to control. Gui is a grumpy guy who doesn't let emotion get in the way of anything and at first he and Riley clash because of his blunt nature. But there is also a strong attraction between them and when he sees how good she is with the kids and how they adore her, his heart melts a little and he is determined to protect them and help Riley get custody and in the process, fall in love.
Another emotional and heartwarming read by a great author. The characters were amazing and had sizzling chemistry. A really nice end to the series!
I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.
3.75/5
This book was easy enough to read. I hadn’t read book 1 or 2 in this series but didn’t feel like I needed to.
It was a quick read with a cute story about a character who is fighting custody for her niece and nephew (and happened to fall for her lawyer at the same time). There was a little bit of spice in this book.
I couldn’t fully connect with the main characters and felt they lacked a little depth, that would have really made the difference. I did however love Aunt Winnie & the adorable twins (ta tee!!)
Gui couldn’t escape his Grandfather’s community service, aka matchmaking, project. Just like his two brothers who both fell hard for their “project”, he too fell hard for Riley and her twin niece and nephew, Allison & Liam. Gui is the Lawyer tasked by his grandfather to help Riley with the custody case involving the twins. There were lots of sweet and tender moments as Gui got to know Riley and the twins. There was no major misunderstanding or conflict in the story. Overall, this was a sweet romance and an enjoyable read.
Gui and Riley are opposits but it works. Helping her with her legal woes opens his eyes to being part of a family
This is the final book in the 3 book series the Durand Billionaire Brothers. After the 3 brothers get in a bar room brawl the grandfather assigns each of them community service. Gillaume is an attorney and his grandfather ask him to help out and old family friend's Niece Riley with a custody case. Gillaume is determine not to fall for Riley like this other two brothers fell for their projects for community service. Riley is trying to gain permanent custody of her deceased sister's toddler twins Allison and Liam. Her sisters ex wants custody as the kids have a trust fund.
I always enjoy Leslie North's books as they are fast paced, have angst and always have HEA. I recommend.
Received this book for my honest review from Netgalley
This Gui and Riley’s story. Riley is named her sisters’ children’s guardian in her sisters’s will. She is the only mother they know. Her sister’s ex husband wants custody for their trust funds. She needs a lawyer. Her aunt used to work for GUI’s grandfather. Gui is given the case the case pro bono as community service by his grandfather. He needs to find out about her and the children. As he works with her they end up in an intimate relationship. She is got a threatening letter to make her give up custody. Gui does not take it seriously. She feels she has to break up with him.
I loved the story. All three books in the series were great.
This is the last book of the trilogy, where Guillaume (Gui) meets Riley through the guise of a pro-bono cause to help her secure custody of her late sister's twins. I really wanted to enjoy this book, it started really funny and evolving at a fast pace but as the story progresses I kept thinking that the plot was too cliché. Without spoiling the story, I felt that the "complications" between Gui and Riley were a bit exaggerated and that some of the dialogue and respective "thoughts" of the characters were stiff and unrealistic. Almost like teen drama... On the other hand, the twins were adorable! As a side note, Gui is a terrible name for a male lead, when they are in the throws of passion and calling out Gui... It felt funny to me, but that's a completely personal view.
A quick easy romance story to complete this series, the grandfather Laurent s matchmaking again and despite Gui saying he wasn’t going to fall for it, once he meets Riley (and the twins) he couldn’t help himself. Nice story well put together.

The Billionaire’s Single Mom is the third book in the Durand Billionaire Brothers trilogy by Leslie North. This book can be easily enjoyed as a standalone romance or as part of the trilogy.
I really enjoyed this book. It is a fast read (I think I read it in 3 hours) with a wonderful story. The characters are likable and relatable and the story was engaging.
This one definitely made me feel all the feels (swoon!)
I recommend reading The Billionaire's Single Mom if you are looking for a feel good, steamy romance!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This one started off strongly for me.
I really enjoyed the concept of the story, but my enjoyment with the story started to slide down and I was never able to get back into it. I did skip around to the end.
Gui Durand has been asked by his Grandfather to take a child custody case pro bono. He is convinced his Grandfather is trying to set him up, like he has for GUI’s 2 brothers. If you are looking for a light, easy romance this book is for you. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.
