I always look forward to a new Crosswhite book. Tracy is still working cold cases so she can spend more time with her family, but she still misses working with her old team. Don’t think that Faz and Del stay on the sidelines though. In this outing, Tracy is asked by a daughter to find her missing mother. She’s been missing for 24 years and just wants answers no matter where the truth lies. As Tracy begins to investigate, she finds the story goes deeper than just a missing person. Of course, Tracy has no problem delving deep into the corruption that centers around this mystery. Another sold entry in the Crosswhite series.

Having read most, if not all, of Robert Dugoni’s novels, I was looking forward to reading What She Found, the latest installment in the Detective Tracy Crosswhite series. What I did not count on was that once I started reading the book, I could not stop and I read the book in one day.

As readers of the series are aware, Tracy is now a mother and is assigned to research and investigate cold cases - a task that permits her to have more regular hours and, therefore, more time to spend with her daughter and family.

The cold case which is the subject of this novel revolves around an investigative reporter missing for 24 years and the stories with which she was involved at the time of her disappearance. Along the way, the reader becomes involved with police corruption, murders, politics involving defunding of police departments and a glimpse into police work and investigative skills of dedicated police officers.

This novel is recommended for all who enjoy this genre. I thank NetGalley and Thomas and Mercer for the opportunity to read and review an advance reader copy and, of course, Robert Dugoni for his outstanding writing skills.

Detective Tracy Crosswhite has agreed to look into the disappearance of investigative reporter Lisa Childress. Solving the cold case is an obsession for Lisa’s daughter, Anita. So is clearing the name of her father, a prime suspect who became a pariah. After twenty-five years, all Anita wants is the truth—no matter where it leads.

This is a brilliant series and again Robert Dugoni has not let us down. I really love this series and look forward to catching up with Tracy as each instalment arrives. This is another one of those books that I would purchase straight away as I know I will enjoy the story regardless of what case she is working on.

Tracy once again shows off her excellent detective skills, I was cheering her on as she endeavoured to solve this case. Some surprises along the way of which I was a little taken aback, but in a good way. Great characters who I enjoyed finding out more about as the book progressed. Decent paced plot that kept me reading as I wanted to know how it would all work out. Highly recommended.

Thank you to Netgalley ad the ppublisher for a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Tracy is good, and you know she’s going to win in whatever challenge she faces. The art comes from the author’s pen as he draws a picture that pulls you in. With her past always pushing her forward, cold cases get warmed up quickly when Tracy is on the trail.

Thanks to NetGalley and Thomas & Mercer Publishing for providing a free ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Cold cases are heating up in Seattle again as Tracy Crosswhite returns and opens a pandoras box when she investigates a reporter missing for 25 years.

I thoroughly enjoy this series as solid police procedurals set in my hometown. This next chapter continues the successful streak and had me engaged from page 1. There are plenty of surprises in store and more than a few people that dont get what they deserve....that will hopefully show up in future stories.

I love Tracy's new gig in cold cases and how she feels deeply satisfied by it due to her past life experiences looking for her sister. Really makes for a great potential future for interesting cases.

I've read all of the Tracy Crosswhite novels and really enjoy them. Especially since I live in Seattle and recognize so many places the author brings into the stories.
This one was very good - it had an intriguing cold case and so many trails to follow, and Tracy did it well.
Tracy is pretty badass and in this book she continues that way, however she is in less mortal danger in this one than others, which I kind of appreciated! I like the books that involve cold cases the best, though I also really loved the one with the crab pot (if you know, you know!).
