What a roller coaster ride. Nat is so awesome. I need more from this story like soon. Nat and Braxton are so adorable. But, when Killian comes in I don’t know what to think. I don’t know what to believe now in this story. Nothing is what it seems at this academy.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC of Stealing Infinity by Alyson Noel.
I haven’t been reading many strictly YA novels lately, because honestly, I like some spice. However I really didn’t miss it here. Not to say there is no romance, there is some and maybe even a hint at a future love triangle?
The main character, Natasha, is a bit of a loser. Poor grades, few friends, negligent mom (Dad left a number of years ago). So when she is given an opportunity to attend the mysterious Grey Wolf Academy after suspiciously being busted for a crime she doesn’t recollect committing, she accepts (grudgingly).
The Academy is run by an enigmatic billionaire who provides little in the way of explanation of why she was chosen to attend. We soon come to discover that Arthur has found a way to time travel and collects kids whom society won’t miss, to do his bidding. They collect famous art, trinkets, jewels, etc. so it’s basically a time travelling theft ring.
There’s lots of mystery surrounding Arthur’s motivations at this point. Also, what is happening with the kids who don’t return? And what happened to Nat’s dad? I have a theory, but don’t want to spoil it at this point.
The supporting cast is pretty strong - Braxton is dreamy, but definitely keeping secrets. Elodie is dangerous and Killian is a big question mark.
I found the plot moved really well and sucked me in from the beginning. It made for a quick read. I liked how she developed most of her characters, though I did think it was a bit too ‘insta-love’ for Braxton and Nat to be making out so quickly after she was hating on him. I also thought the book ended rather abruptly and without a seamless lead up to book 2 - there were lots of questions, but no shocking cliff hanger.
All in all, great to start to a cool, new series. Looking forward to the next instalment!

This was such an awesome book! It's so nice and easy to read and I enjoyed the story and the characters a lot. I love the whole concept of time traveling and this book revolves around it!

Stealing Infinity by Alyson Noël is the first book of Stolen Beauty. The book follows Natasha, whose life changes dramatically when she meets a mysterious boy named Braxton after skipping school to go to a club with her friend Elodie. Natasha is kicked out of school and now attends Gray Wolf Academy, which is a school on an island completely off the grid. Natasha is surprised to learn that the school is for time travellers. At the new school, Natasha and Braxton continue to connect. But Natasha knows he is keeping secrets from her.
This story is very fast-paced and mysterious. Natasha’s perspective is intriguing to read from, and I liked the time travel elements of the story.

Captivating read about a mysterious school for time travelers where everyone has secrets. This book is fun and full of intrigue.
I really enjoyed following Natasha's narrating as she is swept up in this new world of luxury and mystery. She is recruited to a fancy boarding school located on a private island and trains to catch up to the rest of the students, for time travel missions. Along the way, she tries to fight the chemistry sizzling between her and the "ridiculously hot" Braxton.

Let me start saying that reading Alyson again felt like coming home, this book has her familiar writing style but with a completely new story about time travelers, proving that she can write about anything and exceed on it.
This story follows Natasha, who is recruited to a boarding school that turns out to be a school for time travelers where she soon finds out that she can’t really trust anyone, so she tries to focus on succeeding in this new school and to find out what’s really going on in this place.
I love how Alyson includes real facts (about art, history, etc), combines them with a little bit of fantasy and little bit of sci-fi too, making the story feel so real, you can easily get lost on it. Personally I loved it so much and I can’t wait to read the next book of this story!.
Thank you to Netgalley, Entangled Teen and Alyson Noël for letting me read a eARC of this book.

Stealing Infinity by Alyson Noel, published by Entangled Publishing LLC; Entangled Teen, is the first book in the new Stolen Beauty Series.
Natasha is a young woman, a girl who can time travel. She's already through a lot and now to add the time travel element, o my. What a brilliant idea.
This is the introduction to a new series, new characters, a new world and the author nailed it.
I was intrigued right from the start. I love the storyline with all its twists and turns, the characters, their interactions, their grewth.

This was such a fun unique story. The time traveling aspect was so well done. These characters are so well developed with such diverse personalities. The plot sucked me right in keeping me turning the pages late into the night. Who needs sleep, right? There were a few confusing moments when she uses the tarot cards and makes all the connections. I was like huh? But I think that is part of the appeal. The “how in the heck….” This first book gives you just enough information to keep you invested without overwhelming you. I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait to have a physical copy in my hands and read the second book!

STEALING INFINITY is a mysterious and intriguing YA fantasy. Natasha's life was forever altered when her father disappeared, and she has barely been holding her head above water with trying to help her mother pay the bills and live her life the way she wants. When her glamorous friend Elodie convinces her to skip school to go to an exclusive club, she agrees - but everything from there changes her life forever.
Convicted of a crime she did not knowingly commit, Natasha feels backed into a corner - a corner that takes the shape of a secretive private school, Gray Wolf Academy, where everyone and everything is a lie. She finds herself without many friends and with more enemies than she would care to have. Braxton, the boy who helped with her recruitment, is someone she feels like could be someone she trusts - but it's clear he is keeping secrets too. As she becomes more entrenched into Gray Wolf, Natasha will have to decide how she is willing to move forward and the terrible things she is willing to do and endure to keep her place there.
What I loved: This was such an atmospheric and intriguing read. The story moves quickly with a plot that keeps the reader guessing and anticipating what could be next. It is easy to become enchanted by the school and mysterious people there, many of whom are full of lies, understanding why Natasha feels and acts the way she does, while also understanding why it is problematic. There are some cult-like elements to the school with the forced separation from past lives, levels of achievement for which different privileges are given, and inner circle/hazing rituals that ensure the inability of the person to want to leave. This journey was particularly fascinating as Natasha evolves during her stay at the Academy.
There are several themes around family, grief/loss, friendship, romance, memory, time, secrets, and morality that added to the intrigue of the story and gave the reader some deeper topics to consider. Family is a particularly challenging one, as Natasha has locked away her father in her grief and has also come to terms with her origin and her relationship with her mother that was broken after the loss with her father and again when she left for the Academy. Memory is a particularly slippery concept in this book, as others frequently lie, hypnosis is used as a tool to alter perspectives, and Natasha experiences what she calls Unraveling in witnessing the memory of something more vague.
The temperamental nature and sensitivity of time adds a sci-fi element to the story, which begins with the riveting prologue. The morality of everything is a fine balance that is frequently re-evaluated over time, as Natasha begins to reconsider some thing that she previously saw as more black-and-white. This was a theme that seems as though it will continue to develop in later books - the good and bad guys seems to change throughout the story and the reader is left wondering where the cards will fall as we learn more.
Natasha is a compelling character, who is ultimately trying to find her own place in the world, while protecting herself and her heart from disappointment. Her effort is expended towards these goals and leads to the situations and predicaments in which she finds herself as well as the ways in which she moves through them. While not all of her actions will be likable, they all seemed understandable in her own context. She is still evolving and growing as a character, and her growth will likely continue along with her knowledge and experience in later books.
Final verdict: STEALING INFINITY is a highly compelling and riveting YA fantasy read that will leave readers reeling and eagerly awaiting the next installment. Highly recommend for fans of CRAVE, IT ENDS IN FIRE, and VAMPIRE ACADEMY.
Please note that I received an eARC. All opinions are my own.
