Action, fighting, powerful, mysterious main characters, and lots of food. Yes. Sign me up. I've never read a shonen that merges food with fighting this way. We're in a post-apocolyptic world where the oceans seem to be gone, but some of its more dangerous life evolved to live in the sand. The military is the definition of power, and Gordon just wants to run a food truck. When he comes across Arisa asleep in the road, he takes her in and is surprised to find a companion as good in a fight as he is, even if she's clearly sheltered enough not to understand people wear clothes when they're out (she is clothed most of the manga, but the stripping is definitely a thing).
There's always a risk with volume 1. Will they give us some good back story later about our characters' strange behavior? Will they make sense of this world? I'm guessing yes, and cannot wait for more.
An interesting story that's marred by its portrayal of one of its main characters, Arisa, a 17-year old girl. Although she's shown to be physically strong and able to take care of herself, she doesn't wear a shirt for the first half of this volume, and there are many panels that focus on her body to an uncomfortable degree.

Gordon, a food truck owner, is trying to exist in a post apocalyptic world when he stumbles upon a naked woman named Arisa in the desert. She's a glutton and has a whole militia chasing after her. The manga follows their food and war adventures. The story has a lot of potential, but I have an immense dislike for Arisa's character. She's young, naive, and gratuitously naked a lot of the time. When she isn't naked there is still a large focus on her body when she's in the scene. Thankfully, Gordon's character doesn't constantly lust after her and his character is interesting enough to have kept me engaged in the story. I would have enjoyed the story a lot more if it wasn't so focused on Arisa and her body.
The art in this book spends a lot of time focusing on the main female character’s nipples. Did I mention that she’s 17 years old? Yeah. No.
