I read the Brides of Rome and then I read this story. It's an excellent conclusion of this trilogy.
Pomponia vas a fascinating character and I like the gripping plot and the vivid historical background.

I didn't realise that this was the conclusion to a trilogy so some of the things in this book went over my head. However, it is well written, with a good storyline and well dveeloped charcaters and I will definitely be look for the forst two and rereading this.
