Another book in this gangland crime series. It’s well written and filled with action. The characters are more developed with every book. This is the best one yet

Payback Time is another corker of a read from Caz Finlay. Book 7 in the Bad Blood series of books sees yet more twists and turns for the Carters and their control of the Liverpool underworld.

Connor and Jake's relationship comes under real pressure but are they strong enough to see this new challenge through? The family comes together as ever in a crisis and the inevitable chaos ensues.

Finlay is a great writer and I can't wait to read her next release, I can't recommend her books highly enough.

Payback Time by Caz Finlay.
If you challenge the Carters
Connor Carter and Jake Conlon are having trouble with a rival gang, and it’s clear they’ve underestimated their power. But no son of the infamous Grace Carter is going to let someone else run the streets of Liverpool. You must be prepared to fight Then Jake’s right-hand man Danny Alexander is arrested for murder and remanded in custody. The cartel know he’s innocent but the evidence is overwhelmingly against him. The Carters alliance with DI Leigh Moss has always been fragile but it’s time to put aside their differences if they want to find the real killer.
A brilliant read. Loved it. 5*.

Another superb stonker of a read. This author knows how to keep her readers happy. I have loved each and every one of these books in this series. This is book 7 and it certainly didn't disappoint.
The streets of Liverpool are headed by the Carter clan. This really is a gangland read you'll want to read. i've been lucky enough to be able to read book 6 and 7 back to back, as i fell slighty behind in the series, i'm all caught up now and eagerly awaiting more.
An author who's books i don't need to read the synopsis for, i see the authors name and know I want to read it.
superb read.
worthy of the full 5 stars

Here's an author that just gets better and better. All her books have been a 5 star read and her latest book Payback Time by Caz Finlay was another 5 star book. I was gripped from the beginning till the very end and ended up staying up most of the night reading my Kindle. Payback is her seventh book in the brilliant Bad Blood series and The Carters are Back! I love this series. Connor Carter and Jake Conlon are having trouble with a new rival gang, and it's so clear they have underestimated their power. Yes!!! and Grace Carter will not let anyone else run the streets of Liverpool!!! These are the Carter's Streets! This book is full of twists and turns and will have you sitting on the edge of your seat.....

Will Jake Conlon who is Grace's son still be the top man of Liverpool?

or

Will the new rival gang take over?

Revenge can and will be messy - and I just had to finish this book to find out what happens next!

I highly recommend this series and 5 star series from book 1 to book 7!

Big Thank you to #NetGalley, #OneMoreChapter, #HarperCollinsUK and the author #CazFinlay for my ARC of #PaybackTime in exchange for an honest review.

I dropped into the Bad Blood series at book 6 and read it as a stand-alone which I loved so when I saw book seven was coming soon, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on a copy! I am going to go back and read the rest of the series when I get a chance and had hoped to have done that before this book but didn't manage it.

We join Conner Carter and Jake Conlon, who are still having issues with the new rival gang and it's clear that they have underestimated the young lads. No son for the infamous Grace Carter is going to let this happen though and the fun begins.

I was hooked from the first page and read this one so quickly but didn’t want it to end. The characters are awesome and such a tight-knit bunch that even when things get unbearable and difficult they manage to find a way through. Things go from bad to worse and the scene described is nothing short of shocking and sickening, I have no idea how Cas Finlay thinks up these things, but they are grotesque and add so much to the story. Always the perfect crimes as well, enough to make you want to vomit but at the same time not be able to move your eyes from the page!

Danny is in serious trouble and its up to Jake and Conner to investigate as the police won’t, believing they have their man and not interested in any reasoning. There is a real test to the relationships in this instalment and you wonder who can be trusted but all becomes clear in the end.

This was brilliantly written and full of action. The characters show great growth and strength even since the last book where Grace and Michael left for Spain, many times they want to call them for help but come through with determination not to disturb them which was lovely to see. For a gangland novel, this really catches the family relationships and love so well.

I loved this one and already can’t wait for another instalment but will have the beginning ones to keep me busy in the meanwhile.

I always enjoy Caz Finlay’s books so was looking forward to this one.

Another in the Carter Carlton series. This is gripping fast paced and a great easy read

When I first started reading this book I was very unsure about it and did not think is was my kind of thing. By the time I finished it I was interested in reading all the previous books in the series to fully understand the backstories of all the main characters. There is an undercurrent of violence running the story but also there is family loyalty similar to that portrayed about the Mafia in books such as The Godfather although it does not match the writing quality of Mario Puzo. That being said this is a series about a British crime family and very readable for those such as myself who enjoy this genre.
A p candidate perhaps for a T V series.

What another outstanding story about the Carters and Conlon's.

Grace and Michael decide to take a step back and move to Spain to set up a new restaurant leaving Jake and Connor to take over the reins.

They are being bothered by The Bridewell Blades, a couple of thugs run by Delvin and Jerrod King. They rule their crew with an iron fist and are nasty.

My god what a great continuation, I have loved every book in this series and Caz has really outdone herself with this one. What a corker.

Luckily I was on holiday so finished it in a day and a half as I just couldn't leave it.
I don't know how Caz will top this one but, she is such a fantastic writer drawing her readers in from the first page.
Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read this excellent book. xxx

Wow Caz has done it again yet another gripping read. I was so happy that the Carter/Conlon series was continuing. As Grace and Michael decided to take a back seat in the business I thought that might be the end. Happily the series continues with Jake and Connor running the business with the help of Danny, Luke and Jasmine. Someone is trying to take them down and Danny gets put in jail for a heinous crime he never committed. Who’s out to get them and can they get to the bottom of it. Once you pick this book up you won’t be able to put it down.

Bad Blood Book 7

Connor Carter and Jake Conlon are having trouble with a rival gang, and it's clear they've underestimated their power. But no son of the infamous Grace Carter is going to let someone else run the streets of Liverpool.

Another fantastic read about the Carters and the Conlon's. I was hooked from the first page. I feel like I know each character inside and out and WoW what characters they are - and the women can just be as bad as the men, if not worse. Danny is in trouble and it's up to Connor to and Jake to find out who is behind it all. Grace and Michael are in Spain and Jake, Danny Connor and Jazz are taking care of the business. But loyalties are tested and a need to find out who you can trust is looming.

For me, this was the best book in the series so far, but I did miss Grace and Michael. As always, it's well written, action packed and shocking. The characters have grown a lot since we first met them, and always prove themselves to be more than capable in finding out the truth and dealing with it in their own way. I read this book in one sitting, I couldn't put it down. This is one of the best gangland crime series that I've read.

I would like to thank #NetGalley #HarperCollinsUK #OneMoreChapter and the author #CazFinlay for my ARC of #PaybackTime in exchange for an honest review.

Thanks to netgalley and harper collins for letting me review this book, i love this series . Payback time is the next book in the bad blood series. You wont be disappointed. Grace and michael have moved over to spain to set up a new restaurant. The younger members have taken over the reins. Jazz connors wife has also stepped upto the plate and is proving a great asset in graces absence. In true carter style nothing is straightforward. I highley reccomend this book, gangland at its finest, many twists and turns

I’d like to thank HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘Payback Time’ by Caz Finlay in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

When Liverpool’s gangland family, the Carters, have their illegal gear stolen it doesn’t take long to work out that someone working for them is a mole and is passing on information. Meanwhile, Danny and Stacey’s mother Glenda has been found murdered and Danny arrested and remanded in custody. The Carters know Danny could never carry out such a crime and ask DI Leigh Moss for help finding the people responsible.

‘Payback Time’ is the next exciting instalment in the ‘Bad Blood’ series and the story commences as the younger members of the Carter family are running the business without the usual input from Grace and Michael who are currently in Spain setting up their new restaurant. As usual, this latest thriller is written in Caz Finlay’s uniquely distinctive style with its ready supply of bloodthirsty crime and family disagreements, with Connor’s wife Jazz who’s stepped into Grace’s shoes and has become an important part of the Carter family. This past-paced thriller has had me gripped from page one with its intrigue, suspense and drama, unable to stop reading until I’d reached the last pages. Will there be another in the series? I do hope so.

The next instalment in the addictive and gripping Bad Blood crime series from queen of gangland, Caz Finlay…… A skilfully written thriller that kept me gripped from the opening sentence to the last word.

Yes, my favourite book in the series! Filled with action, as well as twists and turns. The characters are just so crazy and hilarious, yet somehow believable, and surprisingly enough, some of them are even likeable. Two criminal gangs are fighting each other and have been doing it for a while. Then things take a massively ugly, turn. I was surprised by the death in this book, a death that changed a lot of things, and many family secrets were finally told.

I feel like the characters have grown a lot. I would absolutely hate all these people in real life, but somehow I have just grown to like these fictional characters, and it is really enjoyable to read about their lives, maybe because their lives are totally different from mine. Highly recommended series!
