I like my heroines a little more self-deprecating and a lot more flawed. This book was kind of meh …
It had a good ending, and some sweet moments.. there are several trigger points for many vegan based peeps. So, that's hard to ignore.
I honestly don’t remember requesting this book so I’m not sure what to say. I think these cartoon covers are very misleading and I’m not a fan.
This book was requested when I was young and requested more books than I could possibly read. Sadly, I no longer have access to this book and my tastes have changed. Thus I will not be able to give feedback on this title.
The title grabbed me and encouraged me to read. I don't think this is for me. I think this book pushes an unhealthy relationship with food.
Compelling story, loved the characters, didn't want it to end.
This is the first in Barnouin’s “Skinny Bitch” series which centers around the escapades of a snarky 20’s year old vegan chef. She finds love with carnivorous restaurant owner Zach and although I enjoyed their banter for the most part the romance was a bit meh. The vegan theme is in your face and preachy but despite that, it made me want to jump on her bandwagon. This is a light and entertaining escape kind of read for those who enjoy Chick Lit.
